Gareth Stacey House and Lansworth House are our 24-hour supported housing services in central Brighton and Hove offering high levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25 with multiple and complex needs. The services have 15 and 20 bedspaces respectively, with shared communal facilities; the services support young people to manage their daily living activities in areas including finances and budgeting, developing life and work skills, and managing self-care.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our teams across Lansworth House and Gareth Stacey House, working flexibly between both sites to ensure young people are safe.

You will respond promptly to any reported incidents, accidents, or concerns, carrying out thorough checks and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on site. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, working closely with support staff to maintain a positive environment. In addition, you will carry out one‑to‑one interventions with young people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or who require medical assistance, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Safety and security

• Provide a friendly, professional presence and ensure the building remains safe, secure and welcoming at night.

Resident engagement

• Welcome residents and offer informal, responsive assistance to help them develop confidence, independence and life skills.

• Assist with evening groupwork sessions that promote learning, wellbeing and positive development.

Administration and housekeeping

• Complete essential admin tasks including data entry, case notes and record management.
• Carry out routine health and safety, compliance and room checks.
• Log maintenance issues to ensure the building remains safe and well maintained.

General

• Work collaboratively on a four‑on, four‑off rota, providing consistent, non‑judgemental support overnight.
• Maintain a calm, professional approach and handle challenging situations effectively.
• Take part in ongoing training and reflective practice to support psychologically informed care.

This role involves lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision‑making and in following procedures. Young refugees have a unique and complex lived experience and need a range of different support that should be tailored to their needs.  We deliver trauma informed, relational and humanistic mental health interventions and to help young refugees navigate their experiences in a new life and environment and to build their resilience and ability to use mental health resources and tools to gain insight into their emotions, feelings and behaviours.  We are looking for someone with experience of working with young refugees or a passion to develop work with this client group and champions their needs in a complex life.

For all posts you need to have a mental health qualification and at least two years’ experience of working with young people. Digital Fundraising Officer - 12-month Maternity Cover

The Veterans' Foundation is entering its second decade with a clear ambition to build a more sustainable, diversified and data-led fundraising model. Following ten years of rapid growth driven primarily through lottery acquisition, the organisation is now evolving its approach to strengthen supporter engagement, improve retention and maximise fundraising performance across a wider range of income streams.

This role will play an important part in that transition. As the Foundation launches a new website, develops its use of Salesforce and strengthens its supporter communications, the Digital Fundraising Officer will help deliver effective digital fundraising and engagement activity across multiple channels. The postholder will support campaign delivery, manage digital content and platforms, and use data and insight to improve performance and supporter experience.

Principal Duties

The main duties of the Digital Fundraising Officer are:

· To plan, create and deliver fundraising, supporter engagement and stewardship communications across digital channels including email, website and social media

· To manage content across the Veterans' Foundation website, ensuring it remains accurate, engaging, accessible and aligned to fundraising and organisational priorities

· To support delivery of integrated fundraising campaigns across digital channels, helping to maximise income, engagement and supporter retention

Mental Health Practitioner in our Young Carers Service to work directly with young people in Croydon.For all posts you need to have a mental health qualification (or other relevant qualification i.e. Youth Work, Social Work) and at least two years’ experience of working with young people. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising, the Head of Corporate Partnerships will lead and support the development of strategic partnerships, manage and inspire a growing team, and help unlock exciting new opportunities across corporate fundraising, brand partnerships, sponsorship, cause-related marketing and employee engagement.

The role is primarily remote with regular travel to meetings, events and monthly team days in London. Purpose of the role 

In 2027 we will host our prestigious Global Congress. Held every four years, Congress convenes eminent leaders invested in global consumer rights and empowerment. This includes the heads of the leading consumer advocacy organisations, ministers and senior government representatives, leaders in civil society, executives at top businesses, prominent academics, and visionaries from philanthropic and international institutions. 

Congress is critical to the mission of Consumers International. It is crucial for our governance, as the basis for our General Assembly, where our Membership elects the governing Council of Consumers International. Around this procedural milestone, we structure a participatory, diverse and unique programme that is designed to build and advance the future of consumer rights advocacy worldwide. Our last Congress brought together over 600 participants, including more than 100 at C-suite level, and was a platform for releasing new insight and announcing major partnerships. It featured over 30 interactive sessions taking place over three days in person and online, with extremely high satisfaction and feedback ratings from participants.

To drive forward our planning and delivery for our next Congress in 2027, we are looking for an exceptional Lead, Flagship Events. This person will be the organisational lynchpin for Congress, working directly with our Leadership Team at Consumers International to produce and execute a clear event plan according to ambitious milestones and key performance indicators. 

The Lead will project manage and mobilise the wider Consumers International team to deliver the 2027 Congress, building a relationship with the host government and playing an essential part in producing a dynamic event that excites and inspires attendees. The Lead will bring strong leadership, coordination and project management skills to the role. They will have best-in-class relationship building and negotiation skills, experience dealing with senior stakeholders, and will have delivered major impactful events in the past.

Key Responsibilities 

Project Management  

• Develop and drive delivery of a comprehensive Congress project plan with clear milestones, dependencies and performance indicators 

• Lead execution of the project plan, ensuring and mobilising the team to exert discipline against deadlines, priorities and organisational goals 

• Manage the Congress budget, including oversight of host government allocations and financial reporting   

• Co-ordinate the wider Consumers International team around Congress delivery, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and decision-making across workstreams 

• Monitor and report on progress against key milestones, risks, participant targets and budget performance, escalating where needed

• Lead post-event evaluation and debrief, capturing insights and recommendations to strengthen future flagship events 

Relationship management and negotiation

• Manage a strong and trusted relationship with the host government, ensuring effective coordination and resolution of issues that arise 

• Lead negotiations and relationships with venues, suppliers and delivery partners to secure high-quality delivery within budget 

• Build and support leadership at Consumers International to establish trusted relationships with senior stakeholders participating in Congress, including across government, Members, sponsors, speakers and strategic partners 

Event logistics and delivery 

• Lead planning and oversight of major logistical components of Congress, including venue, accommodation, transport, catering, accessibility and interpretation to support a seamless participant experience 

• Lead onsite event management, troubleshooting and issue resolution during Congress delivery 

Event systems and governance 

• Oversee the implementation of systems and processes required for successful Congress delivery, including registration and reporting 

• Coordinate planning for the General Assembly and governance components of Congress, this includes supporting senior management at Consumers International to coordinate on voting processes, member participation and associated systems 

Participant experience and organisational leadership 

• Lead Congress planning discussions across the organisation, mobilising the team and ensuring strong communication, coordination and momentum across teams

• Help shape a dynamic, participatory, safe and inspiring Congress experience that reflects Consumers International’s ambition and global leadership 

• Work closely with Leadership Team to support delivery of a high-profile global event with significant reputational and strategic importance, including through the delivery of an impactful programme 

• Carry out additional responsibilities related to Congress delivery and organisational priorities as required

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

As Head of Communications and Brand at the Harris Federation, you will shape and protect our public profile, leading strategic communications, marketing and media activity across a network of 55 academies.

• Create comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that align with the Federations aims and increase brand awareness.
• Own and develop high impact external campaigns to support pupil recruitment, reputation and trust building, staff recruitment (in collaboration with Talent Acquisition), and new academy expansions.

MarComms Directorate Leadership

• Build and lead a high performing Marketing & Communications Directorate.
• Set long-term capability requirements and lead workforce planning as the function scales.
