The Registered Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the Registered Care Home in full compliance with CQC regulations, ensuring high-quality and safe service provision. This includes developing, implementing and regularly reviewing an annual business plan that aligns with the organisation's strategic objectives and the service's operational requirements. The role also involves maintaining an up‑to‑date risk register, actively managing identified risks through appropriate mitigation actions and interventions, and continuously monitoring and reassessing risk levels to ensure effective oversight and governance

Your background will include experience in recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, learning and development, and performance management, as well as high‑quality housing management. You will also have experience in managing budgets and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures, and in building effective working relationships with key stakeholders including service users, families, placement officers, and a range of statutory, community and voluntary partners. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage information, analyse team performance and practice, and make informed recommendations for improvement. A sound understanding of equality, diversity, equity and inclusion, and the ability to embed good practice, is also required.

About the role
The British Museum is seeking a Technical, Tax and VAT Accountant to join the Finance department, who will prepare returns for our key stakeholders (such as HMRC) and provide technical guidance on issues such as VAT, PAYE, gift aid and foreign tax to the finance team and other departments. The post holder will also manage the investments and act as systems administrator for the Museum's accounting system.
About you
We're looking for a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise in VAT, tax and financial regulation. We are seeking a sessional worker with experience of facilitating groups to lead weekly psychoeducational sessions on Wednesdays from April 1 through June 17 from 6.45pm to 7.30pm. We will be one of ten local Minds participating in a 12-week rollout of Bat & Chat, a new and innovative programme funded by National Mind that aims to enhance mental health through guided psychoeducation and cricket-based activities.
Based at the Oval Cricket Ground, each weekly session will consist of 45 minutes of progressive cricket skill development with professional coaches, a 30-minute break, then 45 minutes of structured psychoeducational group work with the facilitator, who will be required to be present from 6.15-7.30pm.
The successful candidate must be available to run all 12 sessions and as part of the role will receive a comprehensive handbook that includes session structures with scope to adapt, facilitation tips, themes, and prompt questions. They will also be required to collect and input session attendance and outcomes into a database, for which training will be given during working hours.
The programme will:
- Run weekly for 12 weeks from 1st April to 17th June 2026
- Support up to 12 group participants
- Be open to all genders, but previous cohorts have mainly consisted of men, and we expect this to be the case here, given our partnership with cricket clubs and our outreach strategy
- Sessions to take place at The Oval Cricket Ground

Context
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a pioneering programme that could reshape how kinship families are supported across England.
Kinship is undertaking a pilot Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected, a Kinship Navigator programme designed to provide intensive, specialist support to kinship carers and help them navigate complex systems.
This is a multi-partner programme involving funders, independent evaluators, participating local authorities, internal delivery teams and kinship carers with lived experience.
Kinship Navigators are at the heart of delivery. You will work directly with kinship carers in the community and in their homes, providing intensive 1-to-1 support and facilitating local support groups, while working closely with local authority partners and other services.
Because the programme forms part of a pilot RCT, maintaining high-quality case records and accurate data collection is critical. Your work will contribute directly to the evidence base about what works for kinship families.
Each Navigator will support around 40 kinship carers over the delivery year, holding a caseload of approximately 20 families at any one time.
You will be part of a wider delivery team including the Programmes Manager, Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager, research colleagues and other Kinship teams, working together to ensure the programme is delivered ethically, consistently and to a high standard
About the role:
The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.
Working directly with kinship carers, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.
This is a community-facing role, working directly with kinship carers in homes, community spaces and through co-location with local authority teams and partner organisations.
The role requires a combination of high-quality relational practice and disciplined case recording. As part of the pilot RCT, accurate documentation of activity, progress and outcomes is essential to ensure the programme can be evaluated and improved.
You will work closely with the Programmes Manager, delivery team, researchers and local authority partners to ensure the programme is delivered consistently, ethically and to a high standard, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in supporting kinship families from all backgrounds.

Fully contribute to monitoring, reporting, quality assurance and learning processes, including collecting feedback and case studies that demonstrate impact.

About the role
