Woodland Ranger
We are seeking an experienced and practical Woodland Ranger to play a key role in managing and enhancing woodland and habitats across a large rural estate.

About the role
This is a varied, hands-on role working across woodland, habitats, access routes and estate land. Responsibilities will change seasonally, with a stronger focus on woodland management and tree safety in winter, and vegetation management and mowing during the summer months.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of woodland management plans and habitat strategies to promote biodiversity and ecological health
- Assisting with tree works and woodland operations as directed
- Wildlife management, including squirrel control, using best practice and innovative approaches
- Maintaining public footpaths and bridleways, ensuring they remain safe and accessible year-round
- Responding to fallen trees, storm damage and other access issues
- Working closely with estates, property and conservation colleagues across a broad landholding
- Supporting contractors and third parties working on site
- Leading or supporting volunteer working parties when required

About you
You will be practical, organised and confident working outdoors in all seasons, with a strong interest in conservation and land management.
You will ideally have:
- Experience of working safely to industry best practice in tree and woodland work
- Experience of, or willingness to learn, wildlife control methods
- Good map reading and orientation skills
- Experience maintaining green spaces and estate environments to a high standard
- Confidence using machinery such as mowers, brush cutters, chippers and tractors
- The ability to work independently, use initiative and problem solve
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A background in arboriculture, forestry or conservation through study or industry experience
Desirable skills include aerial tree work, tree inspection, winching, digger or MEWP use, spraying qualifications and highways safety training.

Role Overview
As an Individual Giving Executive, you will project manage a range of Individual Giving campaigns within the Development & Stewardship team. The role focuses on cash appeals, raffles, newsletters and supporter journeys across various channels including direct mail, telephone and digital.
Key Responsibilities
· To manage the day to day running of individual giving campaigns; including campaign planning, overseeing creative development, liaising with key stakeholders, co-ordinating print and production, monitoring and analysing results and feeding back to agencies.

Videre is an award-winning, UK-registered NGO that exposes human rights abuses and holds perpetrators to account. We work directly with communities in stressed environments, equipping networks of activists and community leaders with the technology and training necessary to safely capture visual documentation of political violence, human rights violations, and other systemic abuses. Our aim is to ensure that the concerns and knowledge of affected communities drive advocacy, policy, and legal action. We currently have teams and partners in six countries and support staff in three further countries.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Manager is a critical role within Videre, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The postholder will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Videre’s security risk management framework and processes. The role supports Videre’s own project teams as well as the work we do with partners, which includes training and accompaniment on human rights documentation and the security risk management necessary to do this work safely. The Security Manager will play a key role in strengthening organisational resilience, preparedness, and security culture across multiple countries and complex operating environments.
LOCATION
Nairobi, Kampala or Bangkok preferred. Remote applicants will be considered. Approximately 20 days travel per year expected.
COMPENSATION
Salary is dependent on location. The UK-equivalent salary from £55,000 to £60,000, plus pension contribution, will be converted using ICSC scales.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Risk Management
- Maintain and continuously improve Videre’s Security Risk Management framework, ensuring effective implementation across all operations.
- Lead the safety and security elements of the organisational Risk Register held by the Chief Operating Officer, ensuring senior leadership is regularly informed of key risks and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments, in collaboration with relevant managers and teams, covering programme operations, partner locations, and other identified risk areas.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the implementation of Safety and Security Management Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring staff are appropriately briefed and familiar with their content.
Preparedness, Monitoring & Incident Response
- Lead scenario planning and preparedness activities for safety and security risk management.
- Provide proactive, practical safety security management advice, guidance and support to teams and partners.
- Lead the crisis management response to security incidents as required.
- Monitor security contexts, analyse trends, and share relevant information to support informed decision-making.
Training, Capacity Building & Culture
- Design and deliver security risk management training and capacity-building resources for staff and partners.
- Foster and embed a strong organisational security culture, promoting shared responsibility for safety and risk awareness.
External Engagement
- Manage Videre’s participation in security-related consortiums and networks, including the Global Interagency Security Forum.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
- An understanding of risk management methodologies and experience applying them across multi-country teams.
- Experience in executing complex and sensitive security management responses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, verbally and in writing.

Key Duties for Form F Assessors include:

- To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carers.

- To provide to the supervisor, regular written updates of the draft assessment.
- To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
- To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
- To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
- To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
- To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.
Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors
- We will pay £2250 (inclusive of VAT) + up to £500 bonus payments (if criteria are met) upon submission of a successfully completed Form F Assessment.
- £37.50 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

About the Role
The post holder will provide support to people in relation to their medication, treatment and care, ensuring that they understand and can access their rights, within the context of Independent Advocacy as set out in the Advocacy Charter and Code of Practice.

Primary Purpose:
‘Green Connections’ is an innovative project which supports older people in Crewe and Nantwich surrounding area to reconnect with nature in their yards and gardens, connect older and isolated individuals with wider support and local opportunities to help relieve social isolation and loneliness. It also provides group delivery sessions around gardening based activities in care homes and community settings
This position involves actively engaging with people aged 50 plus who wish to connect to nature and learn more about their garden or gardening activities. You will be responsible for community engagement, organising resources, working with older people in their homes for tailored sessions and providing group delivery sessions in the community and care homes..
The Green Connections Coordinator role also involves actively engaging older people with services and support available, enhancing their quality of life. You will coordinate with other organisations and use their resources to secure additional support, always prioritising the consent and preferences of the clients. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, offering vital support to those in need.
Main Duties:
· Support with teaching older people new gardening skills in attending to their planters and encourage new interests in wildlife and biodiversity.
· Promote and engage with the network of organisations that work with older people in and around Crewe and Nantwich to maintain and develop positive relationships and referral routes
· Update monitoring and evaluation systems to accurately record project outcomes and volunteer information.
· Be the first point of contact for the project and build relationships with individuals, local agencies and groups.
· Assess individuals and their circumstances to understand suitability for the project.
· Work with older individuals in choosing an offer to suit their lifestyle, needs and wishes.
· Be responsible for connecting people into local advice and support.
· Link isolated older people with volunteer support.
· Train and support a core local volunteer team in doing light maintenance and planting in group sessions, gardens, yards and raised planters.
· Ensure appropriate resources are sourced.
· Assist the Service Manager in promoting/marketing the project.
· Provide group delivery sessions in Crewe and Nantwich within care settings and community groups
Essential Criteria
· Experience of delivering community gardening or practical experience in environmental activities
· Experience of organising initiatives and opportunities for community and volunteer involvement
· Experience of planning and delivery of group sessions to support engagement and learning
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and also knowledge and experience of using a client database
· Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative
· Have use of a car and full driving licence and ability to travel in Crewe and Nantwich
· To be in good physical health to allow lifting of resources and materials

About the role:

You will work closely with the Programme Funding team to secure and maximise restricted incoming from institutional donors, trusts, foundations, and corporates across all Tree Aid countries of operation.
Main duties:
- Support the development and submission of compelling and high-quality proposals and funding applications.
- Generate new restricted income to expand and strengthen Tree Aid’s programme portfolio, including contributing to securing match funding.
- Deliver excellent donor stewardship to build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with a diverse range of funders.
- Identify and research new funding opportunities aligned with organisational priorities and share prospects with UK and country teams.
- Support donor reporting by contributing to accurate, timely donor reports and project updates as part of effective donor liaison.
About you:
Experience / Skills
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to transform complex information into compelling cases for support.
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at different levels.
- Proven experience in developing donor proposals and reports and securing funding from institutional donors.
- Experience of donor stewardship.
- Strong numeracy skills and experience reviewing budgets and financial reports.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with fundraising best practice and relevant legislation, including GDPR.
- Proficiency in French (written and spoken) is desirable.
