This role is focused on providing strategic communications leadership to the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub), with an emphasis on web and digital media. The ambition of this role is to support GDI Hub into its next 10-years (having just celebrated our 10-year anniversary), with ownership of our expansive web and digital portfolios.
The post holder will work with the Director of Global Engagement and the GDI Hub comms team to elevate the organisation’s portfolio of public facing touch points. The role will combine core responsibilities of website ownership and content development, alongside providing experienced and strategic leadership for the communications function.
GDI Hub has evolved from a start-up to an established medium sized organisation in the last 10 years. This new role is strategically important in defining the future direction of the organisation's web presence and communications strategy while providing senior level leadership and expertise within the team.
A key requirement of this role is to provide deep technical knowledge of website management and development, enabling the post holder to systematically consider GDI Hub’s online portfolio and strategically develop our websites and digital footprint in a way that builds engagement, increases impact and supports storytelling. This includes developing client-facing digital assets that clearly showcase GDI Hub’s brand, products and impact to external audiences such as funders, partners and media.
The role will initially be focused on the digital portfolio with responsibilities both for content, platform management and longer-term vision. A key focus will also be editing and curating strong narratives to showcase the depth and breadth of GDI Hub’s work. As part of a small but highly proactive and ambitious team, this position will have a strong output focus
This senior position will in time take on line management responsibilities for two members of the communications team. Management experience is essential, as is a track record for leading a fast-paced communications and content team, with responsibility for project and programme outputs. The role will require the ability to balance priorities, manage incoming requests and ensure the communications function is delivered in a streamline and strategic way.
They will also lead the strategic thinking required to align GDI Hub’s web and digital platforms to present a collective voice, dynamic and vision of the organisation. Suitable candidates will showcase broad experience in communications including content capture and amplification (socials), digital design, web development and event delivery, both online and in person.
Across all elements of the role, the successful candidate will need to work collaboratively and dynamically. This role will work closely with members of the GDI Hub team, including Senior Leadership, and will interact with external partners, collaborators and stakeholders. We're looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join UNJUST and support the development and delivery of community engagement activities that amplify lived experience, build trust, raise awareness and contribute to our research, policy and advocacy aims.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll build and maintain relationships with community groups, grassroots organisations and individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system. You'll design and deliver engagement events, facilitate workshops and listening sessions, promote opportunities for community members to get involved in UNJUST's work and help develop creative, ethical ways of gathering and sharing lived experience stories.
The role also includes co-creating programmes and materials with communities, supporting content creation for social media, recruiting interns and volunteers from impacted communities, and representing UNJUST in relevant forums, networks and coalitions.

Job summary
This role will predominantly support the Service Delivery Managers and Support Officer across the UK in the effective planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training to meet the strategic objectives. The postholder will be required to work directly with young people and their families, schools, colleagues, partner organisations and professionals, delivering accredited training across the UK.
The person
You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. You will have a friendly and professional approach to working with families and professionals and be highly organised to manage planning, delivery and relevant paperwork for all wheelchair skills services.
Key accountabilities
- Coordination and delivery of wheelchair skills training, travel training and train the trainer across the UK.
- Conduct on site visits prior to delivery of travel training to plan routes and inform risk assessments.
- Book relevant modes of transport for travel training sessions.
- Writing Service Level Agreements for key partners; content providers and schools.
- Obtaining information from content providers and schools, such as Public Liability, DBS and key Risk Assessments.
- Writing Care Plans & Risk Assessments.
- Ensure schools complete paperwork for accredited services and liaise with Skills & Education group regarding learners
- Sending event invites to young people and families and updating the database as required.
- Updating all documentation for events and participants onto the database.
- Promoting Whizz Kidz services to third party organisations in order to drive new applications/referrals.
- Attending events such as Kidz to Adultz exhibitions to promote Whizz Kidz and showcase wheelchair skills training.
- Ensuring feedback and monitoring data is collected at each event and at set intervals after the event in order to measure long term impact.
- Collate information for case studies to measure impact of training.
- Liaising with Trainers when required.
- Liaising with young people, families and schools as required.
- Ordering equipment and resources where needed.
- Attending Whizz Kidz services across the country if required in order to support the Service Delivery Managers and Services Support Officer.

About the role
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring CFFC continues to grow its impact, strengthen partnerships and inspire philanthropy across Calderdale.
You will lead and develop a committed staff team, work closely with Trustees, build trusted relationships with donors, businesses, professional advisers, charities and public sector partners, and ensure the organisation remains financially sustainable, well-governed and ambitious for the future.
You will also act as CFFC’s public ambassador, representing the organisation across Calderdale and beyond, while championing the importance of local giving and community investment.

Role Description
The Operations and Finance Manager will play a central role in ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the Foundation. The postholder will lead on governance, administration, finance, compliance and organisational systems, ensuring the charity operates efficiently, meets its regulatory obligations and has the infrastructure required to deliver its strategic objectives.
Working closely with the Executive Director, team, Treasurer, and Trustees, the Operations and Finance Manager will oversee financial management, governance processes, organisational administration and operational planning, while also supporting fundraising activities to ensure the Foundation’s long-term sustainability and effectiveness.
Required Experience and Skills
Operations, Finance and Governance
- Proven experience in an operations or administrative management role within a charity, arts, or non-profit organisation.
- Understanding of charity governance and experience supporting Boards, Committees, or Trustees.
- Strong financial management experience, including budgeting and cash flow monitoring, invoice processing, payroll administration, project budget reconciliation, preparation of management accounts and financial reports, and coordination of year-end accounts preparation.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a track record of maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
People and Organisational Management
- Knowledge of HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, and fostering positive work culture.

The Race Equality Foundation has been awarded a transformative multi-year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF) as part of its Health Inequities: Structural Racism and Discrimination Partnership. The programme will establish three Anti-Racism Collaboratives (ARCs), each bringing together voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, people with lived experience, health and care organisations, local authorities and other partners to tackle the structural causes of ethnic health inequities through co-production, evidence and collective action.
