Special events play a vital role in engaging our supporters, inspiring their support, and raising vital income for the charity. Throughout 2026 we have a range of events planned, including private dinners, receptions and large fundraisers in London and Edinburgh.

Special Events is an area of growth for the charity, and this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our major donor team and senior volunteers and supporters to develop and deliver an engaging fundraising events programme.  

Experience in Special Events is essential, ideally in a charity environment. The successful candidate will have excellent event management skills, experience of working with senior stakeholders, and the ability to deliver creative and engaging events to inspire donor support.

About the role

Myeloma UK is embarking on an ambitious five-year income generation strategy, which aims to double our income by 2030.

The post holder will lead the planning and delivery of a programme of high-quality events. You will work with colleagues from across the charity to develop programmes that will engage our audiences and communicate the impact we deliver as a charity. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager with a national charity for unpaid carers on a permanent, part-time (28 hours per week) basis. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the financial accounting functions of the organisation, for the preparation of statutory accounts, regular management reports, the preparation of all tax returns, supporting budget holders and assisting them fulfil their responsibilities, and for compliance with statutory requirements including compliance with tax laws and regulations.

As Finance Manager, you will:

- Manage the financial accounting function of the organisation

The role

As a Community Fundraiser, you will be the face of St Richard’s Hospice in the community, you will help our wonderful fundraisers and inspiring new supporters to raise money for the charity, always ensuring they receive the best possible supporter experience. You will be part of the wider Income Generation team, contributing to our shared goals and income targets.

A key part of the role will be to deliver fundraising with strong financial impact: achieving a 3:1 return on investment within two years, ensuring activities are cost-efficient, effective, and sustainable.

Flexibility will be required for evening and weekend working as well as the ability to travel locally to events, meetings or fundraising activities. This role is based at the Hospice, Wildwood Drive, Worcester.

The role will also include;

• Build and nurture relationships with local fundraisers, community groups, schools, faith groups and local organisations.

This is a strategic and operational leadership role, responsible for managing partnerships, governance, and delivery of the organisation’s innovative Community Transformation Fund and Anchor Programme.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading fundraising and investor engagement
• Overseeing daily operations
• Ensuring strong governance and financial management
• Building trusted relationships with stakeholders including the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board, Social Finance, Macmillan Cancer Support, and local VCFSE organisations
• Champion collaboration and co-design
• Support community-led service development and investment proposals
• Mentor partners in social investment approaches
• Measure impact

The Executive Director will also lead the transition toward locally rooted leadership, ensuring the CIC remains sustainable, community-driven, and focused on equitable health transformation.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of:

• Working with or within health systems with an understanding of processes and systems associated with service delivery
• Developing and delivering fundraising and investment opportunities (for example, grant-based or investment bids to charities, foundations or philanthropic organisations)
• Developing and managing cross-sector partnerships, including collaboration with public sector, legal, financial, and community stakeholders.
• Overseeing financial modelling, risk analysis, and investment planning in complex programme environments.
• Commissioning, contracting, and negotiating with external partners and professional advisors.
• Designing and delivering programmes that prioritise equity, lived experience, and inclusive service design.
• Presenting proposals and performance updates to governance boards or advisory groups.
• Supporting capacity building within organisations or communities in multi-agency settings.
• Developing and delivering programmes in partnership with community-based or place-based institutions.
• Facilitating inclusive approaches to service development that reflect community needs.

About the Service

The aim of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Domestic Abuse Casework Service is to provide advice, information, and support to survivors of intimate partner or familial violence living in the community about the range, effectiveness, and suitability of options to improve their safety and that of their children. All advice will be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management.

About the role

The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:

• Provide support and advocacy services to clients experiencing domestic abuse
• Ensure direct contact is made with the client within a specified time of an incident being reported to the police and to carry out a risk assessment.
• Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
• Support the team with case management and volume of referrals to ensure a short waiting time and referrals are contacted promptly and assessed appropriately.
• Collate and obtain feedback regarding the effectiveness of the service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the wellbeing of clients who are affected by domestic abuse.
• Contribute to a reduction in repeat victimisation
• Reduce the number of victims withdrawals of witness statements
• Be aware of the impact on children of domestic abuse and make referrals to appropriate agencies to support the children where necessary.
• Increase the reporting of children at risk of harm
• Increase successful court outcomes by proactively supporting clients and work with the witness services for cases going to court
• Work with the wider team within Hertfordshire Mind Network and support clients in accessing additional support e.g. counselling, peer support, employment support and self-development courses
• Work with other professionals e.g. police, health, social care, housing, and signpost and liaise with such agencies as necessary
• Work with and signpost to other third sector partner agencies as necessary
• Provide a first point of contact for professionals and clients and pass on necessary cases or referrals to the Domestic Abuse Caseworker.
• Refer to the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) if required and local IDVA service.
