About the role
As CEO, you'll support us through a new stage in our development. We're operating in a fluid political environment and so our new leader needs to be confident to work in a political setting while also having the skills and experience to run an organisation like ours.
You'll take ultimate responsibility for our campaign to achieve Proportional Representation in the House of Commons. You will:
- as leader of the campaign, be primarily responsible for building the popular and political momentum needed to secure this seismic reform;
- as leader of the organisation, be primarily responsible for defining and executing MVM’s strategy, while ensuring its good financial health and legal and regulatory compliance; and
- as leader to our staff and volunteer team, be primarily responsible for providing clarity of direction while ensuring the organisation maintains a collaborative, empowering and inspiring culture.
You will:
- lead the UK campaign for Proportional Representation;
- ensure MVM has a clear external brand, with consistent messages, effective and emotive arguments, and impactful use of evidence;
- be a spokesperson for the organisation on a variety of public platforms including national media and at key MVM events;
- create and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders;
- lead on development of MVM's post-election strategic plan;
- line manage and delegate responsibilities to staff, as appropriate;
- take ultimate responsibility for the good governance of MVM, including but not limited to the organisation’s financial health, legal compliance, and good standing with regulatory bodies;
- with support of relevant MVM staff, to ensure that the Board is supported in performing its governance role;
- support and comply with MVM’s policies active within the organisation pertinent to the role; and
- undertake other related duties as required to assist MVM in meeting its objectives.

Campaigning for Proportional Representation for the House of Commons
In this role you will lead and empower the Executive Team and organisation to deliver high quality services to ensure that patient voices are heard. Working with the Board of Trustees you will develop the organisation’s long term strategy and ensure good governance. You will be the public face in building relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders to deliver impact and improvement and will represent the organisation at strategic meetings to hold services to account.

Role Purpose:
Street Child is a rapidly growing, child-focused, humanitarian and development organisation. In 2023, Street Child celebrated reaching over one million children across 25 countries over its fifteen years of existence. This was accomplished with and through a growing network of more than 200 national and local actors. The Regional Director will be a standard bearer of this ambition in East and Southern Africa, providing leadership across all countries where Street Child is operational while monitoring and pursuing growth opportunities across the region. As Street Child’s most senior representative in the region, the Regional Director will guide and drive the organisation to deliver on the objective of ensuring all children are safe, in school, and learning.
As Street Child actively seeks opportunities to expand its support for the most marginalized girls and boys, the Regional Director will be responsible for providing outstanding leadership and for resourcing and delivering high impact programming across East and Southern Africa. The Regional Director will work to identify and advance partnerships with regional, national, and local actors, as well as donors. This will require bringing a strong network to the role along with energy to represent Street Child in organisational, regional, and global forums. - The Key Responsibilities provide a high-level view of the Regional Director role. Qualifications and Experience:
- Significant senior management experience, leading high-functioning programme regional or county teams in the humanitarian and development sector. Previous experience as a country or regional director is preferred.
- Strong strategic thinker, with demonstrated expertise developing, resourcing, and delivering strategic plans at the regional or country level.
- Demonstrable experience of proposal development and/or winning funding; Experience in both humanitarian and development contexts.

The CPC team drives Shelter's campaigns for social housing and renters' rights, supporting our services and income generation efforts.

Purpose of the post
The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role within HDR UK, as the key point of contact and financial support for the Institute Office teams. The Finance Business Partner supports key non- finance stakeholders to provide timely and insightful analysis and reporting and supports with the alignment of financial plans to operational and strategic priorities. The role will support the HDR UK’s non- Core funds and programmatic areas and will be responsible for proactive fund financial management, supporting the Fund budget holders in ensuring appropriate planning and utilisation of the fund expenditure. Main responsibilities
- Work with Budget Holders to manage financial performance, forecasts, and budgeting including understanding financial opportunities and risk for the area of business partnership.
- Hold responsibility for the financial management of a number of large and strategic funds, including financial reporting to funders and maximising fund utilisation.
- Lead on monthly reporting to Programme teams, including posting month end journals, meeting with Budget Holders to discuss performance and budget variance and providing commentary and analysis on reports.
- Work with the Associate Directors of the Finance team to plan, deliver, and review the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Support with the continuous review and update of the 5-year financial plan.
- Support with projects and new process development to continuously improve and evolve our approach to internal financial reporting and modern finance business partnering.
- Support the Finance Business Partnering function with ad hoc reports and grant management and reporting.

Experience
- CCAB qualified or part qualified, or with a minimum of 4 years practical experience in financial analysis or business partnering roles.
- Experience of grant or fund management, reporting, and liaising with external funding bodies.

Internal Auditor
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, (part-time will be considered)
Location: The role will be based in the UK or one of the following countries where WaterAid works: Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa, or Nepal, subject to right-to-work eligibility in the respective countries.
For the UK Location, we offer hybrid working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face-to-face, in a WaterAid office. For UK-based staff, WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

About the Team:
WaterAid has established an internal audit function within the Global Assurance Team in order to provide Directors and Trustees with an opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance. Internal Audit carries out audits in the UK, other WaterAid Federation Member Countries and WaterAid Country Programmes, including audits of partner organisations. Internal Audit also provides an advisory service to management on issues of risk management, governance and control. The internal audit function is independent and reports directly to the Chief Executive.
About the Role:
As our diligent and tenacious Internal Auditor, you will deliver an agreed programme of audits across WaterAid and its partner organisations and other ad hoc work and investigations as necessary. WaterAid is committed to ensuring the highest levels of professional competence and financial integrity. The post holder will be expected to meet this commitment through the delivery of an agreed programme of internal audit work, by performing audits across the WaterAid global federation and its partner organisations, supporting management on ad hoc projects, conducting investigations and reviews, as necessary. The post holder will be required to follow and work in accordance with professional auditing standards.
In this role, you'll:
- Deliver internal audits to provide assurance that financial and other control procedures are appropriate and implemented as designed. Internal audits will cover UK head office functions, other WaterAid Federation Member Countries, regional offices, Country Programmes and partner organisations and will involve the following tasks:-
- Respond to requests for assistance and advice from management in respect of any matters relating to systems of control, risk management and governance. This will include the following tasks:-
- Input to the development of the Global Assurance function with:
- Undertake investigations into suspected fraud, or other financial irregularities, whilst complying with best practice and data protection, confidentiality etc
About You:
- A professional CCAB (Consultative Committee of Accounting Bodies) accounting qualification or accredited member of the CIIA (Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors)
- Honesty, integrity, tenacity and sensitivity
- Experience and understanding of risk-based audit techniques
- Strong numeric, analytical and financial skills, with an aptitude for budgeting and financial management
- Good understanding of risk management and internal controls
- Good communication and report writing skills, with either native proficiency or advanced professional proficiency in English
- Confident to communicate with all levels of management and Trustees
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Good IT literacy
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work across different cultures
- A willingness to travel and an ability to work independently with limited supervision
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience of working in the INGO sector
- Proficiency of auditing using data analytics techniques
- Qualifications and/or experience in fraud investigations
- Knowledge of French or Portuguese
- And/or knowledge of South Asian or African languages from countries where WaterAid works
