Want to help the next generation of engineers tackle energy inequality? Lead a brand-new national programme that trains university students to run energy workshops for school pupils and their households.
Engineers Without Borders UK is looking for an organised, collaborative Programme Manager who thrives on making big ideas happen.
About the programme
Future Engineers for Fairer Energy is a new two-year programme that will train Engineers Without Borders UK university Chapter members to deliver domestic energy workshops in schools across the UK. The aim is to build knowledge and confidence among pupils, their households and the students themselves, as part of a fairer, low-carbon energy future. The project is delivered in partnership with the Centre for Energy Equality and funded through the Energy Redress Scheme, run by the Energy Saving Trust.
What you'll do
- Mobilise and support our university Chapters to take part
- Coordinate the recruitment and training of student facilitators
- Build relationships with schools across the UK
- Oversee workshop delivery, working closely with partners and funders to help the programme build lasting momentum
Who we're looking for
A confident, organised project manager and natural relationship-builder who can bring together students, schools, partners and funders. You'll be at the heart of a collaborative, intergenerational initiative, creating meaningful learning experiences that last well beyond the workshop.
Key details
- Part-time: 22.5 hours/week
- Fixed-term for 2 years, with potential to extend
- Hybrid, with monthly team days in London and UK travel as required
- Salary: £35,000–£38,000 FTE (£21,000–£22,800 actual)
