About the role:

This role is based in Rumney Police Station, Cardiff with the opportunity for hybrid working. Travel within the local area will also be required. As a ASB Victim' Champion you will:

• Work within a multi-agency setting alongside Cardiff Council to provide tailored support to Victims of Anti-Social Behaviour in the Cardiff area.
• Recruit and manage a base of volunteers to help deliver the service.
• Liaise with the Council in respect of new referrals, ongoing casework and to seek advice and guidance as required
• Promote awareness of the service and driving referrals.

We are recruiting a Finance Officer to provide accurate, efficient, and high quality financial and payroll support in accordance with procedures, legal requirements and best practice to help ensure the smooth running of the PAPYRUS’ financial systems, records and procedures

What you will do:

- Purchase ledger duties, including processing invoices in a timely and efficient manner (using Dext smart software),    completing weekly payment runs and monitoring aged creditors.

- Resolve queries from suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders.

- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve invoice queries or to obtain missing documentation.

- Carry out weekly bank/cash reconciliations on Xero or similar system

About the role:

This role is based at our West Bromwich office with the option of hybrid working from home. Travel across the area is required, travelling time is within working hours & expenses are reimbursed. The hours for this role are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8am to 4pm & Tuesday 12pm to 8pm.

About the role:

This hybrid role is based in Brighton & Hove. There is a mandatory office attendance requirement with a minimum of 1 day a week.

The role will involve:

• Making initial contact assessing and providing information to victims/survivors of domestic abuse

As Project Support Officer you will support the London & South East Area Manager and Regional Managers with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training, giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our London & South East projects as and when required to aid development and growth within the region.

Each of our Projects is run by Project Leaders (volunteer position) and supported by Regional Managers through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your will support the Regional Managers so that they can manage more projects, knowing that you have helped with the embedding of volunteers, along with supporting expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new Project Leaders for the Area.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects. You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.

This role will require some attendance at our Community Meals projects, to support with delivery as necessary, which will include evening and weekend work. As well as projects across London, our South East projects include Southampton, Portsmouth, Aylesbury and exciting new openings in Slough and Reading in 2024.

Main Roles & Responsibities

• Deliver quality on-site youth work to help all our young people overcome multiple complex educational barriers.
• Help create and maintain a safe environment for our young people, where they feel confident approaching any staff member if they have a worry or problem.
• Carry out learner pick-ups and drop-offs when required, ensuring that the necessary business cover has been added to car insurance and that tax and MOT are in place and maintained
• Responsible for the planning and delivery of Maths Functional Skills lessons in line with the NCFE curriculum
• Delivering high quality lessons that include differentiation and extension tasks
• Working with students from Pre-Entry to Level 2 and GCSE if required
• To plan and provide one to one support and sessions with students when required
• Responsible for comprehensive marking and written and verbal feedback for students
• To develop high quality teaching materials and schemes of learning that keep students engaged
• To manage support staff effectively, involving them where appropriate with the planning and management of pupil’s learning
• To complete all associated organisation/administrative work, preparation and marking including exam entries
• To place, prepare, develop and evaluate courses and course materials, and where appropriate, supervise course provision

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners have some level of additional need and as a result all have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).  Some of the most common areas of need that we see are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs. 

We currently have projects in Rotherham, Barnsley, London and The Midlands.

What to expect from the recruitment process –

3. Candidates who are successful at the first stage interview will be invited for a second stage assessment which may consist of an in tray task, scenario presentation or microteach along with time with the learners and a tour of the workplace.

About this key role 

Our successful candidate will be embedded in the trauma team, working closely with clinicians and hospital staff to provide support for those young people admitted to the Major Trauma Centre right through to their discharge back into the community, including access to appropriate longer-term support.  You will be expected to identify and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service to young victims of violence people, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.  

You will produce support and risk management plans based on your assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies.  We will also count on you to deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, providing a practical service that will include social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, benefits work, debt advice, liaising with utilities, appearing in court, and cleaning. 

What we are looking for 

You will be passionate about support and uplifting Children and Young people and want to make a difference within the community for the betterment of Children and Young People. You’ll also have an understanding of the challenges that are faced by some CYP and be relatable. You’ll need:

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families 
• Substantial experience of providing support, advice and advocacy 
• Substantial experience of supporting CYP and assessing the needs of children and young people who at risk of significant harm  
• An understanding of how trauma impacts on a young person and what that can look like 
• A relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one 
• A knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area 
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
