Millions of people use our fact checking, including most of the major internet companies. We get powerful people and institutions to correct the record, including politicians and the national media. We are campaigning to ensure that the power to shape online debate is scrutinised and not abused. 

We’re looking for someone who can support our talented team of 40 people, by making sure the organisation runs smoothly and being a ‘go-to’ person.

You will join our small Operations team who manage our finances, governance and people operations. We oversee policies, processes and systems so that it is easy and enjoyable for people to do their best work. That means making sure everyone has what they need to do their jobs. You will manage queries, provide basic IT and financial support, support recruitment and make sure people have a good experience whether they are starting or leaving us. You’ll keep the office running smoothly and make sure we have up to date documentation.

Job Definition

• Manage incoming internal and external queries via post, the admin and team email addresses, the operations Slack channel, main phone line and any operational queries (via Freshdesk)

• Manage any necessary purchasing to ensure the team have what they need to work effectively

• Support the Fundraising team with correspondence to donors and mail campaigns

• Provide basic IT support to the team by monitoring the IT Support Slack channel, ordering equipment, providing instructions for how to use Google Workspace, Trello and Slack, and equipment such as laptops and cameras used in hybrid meetings

• Support the Senior Operations Manager with bookkeeping to enable the SOM / accountants to produce timely and accurate management accounts

• Support the People Operations Manager with recruitment by posting job adverts on our website and third party channels, managing communication with candidates and setting up new team members with everything they need to get started at Full Fact

• Manage the tasks involved with people leaving the organisation.

• Support the Senior Operations Manager with coordination and minute taking of Board, Committee and Management Team meetings

• Ensure a well run office by managing supplies and liaising with the facilities team (e.g. delivery of water bottles, ensuring facilities are working, setting up the office for team events)

• Keep registers up to date (e.g. fixed assets, abuse register, software register)

• Support the team with travel arrangements 

• Support the People Operations Manager with coordinating training and development initiatives

• Successfully create a conducive environment for our team during the office move in collaboration with the Senior Operations Manager.

The Finance Systems Analyst is a newly created role which will have responsibility for the efficient running and maintenance of ClientEarth’s finance systems, including Access Focal Point- which has been in use for over five years and Workday Adaptive Planning, a new system for the organisation. Financial Controller - Projects | London | 12-month FTC | £55,000 - £60,000

For a leading global NGO, we're recruiting a Project Financial Controller for a fixed term of 12-months. Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller and working closely with the CEO, this role will lead the financial management and internal controls for the Regional and Country offices and shared service processes and transactions. It’s an exciting time to join The National Lottery Community Fund as the Environmental Officer on a part time basis, 25 hours a week.

The National Lottery Community Fund is delivering an environmental strategy that will not only help communities we Fund but also identifies us as an exemplar in managing our own environmental impact. 

The role will help lead our journey to net zero emissions by 2030, as well as support our environmental strategy both internally and externally.  An interest in climate change and an understanding of environmental sustainability in the workplace will be a key part to this role as well as the confidence to bring in new ideas. 

The role will sit within the Facilities team which helps support all nine of the Funds offices which are based in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

The environmental officer role will be varied but some of the key responsibilities are:

• You will be responsible for facilitating the Fund’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact and move towards being a net zero organisation by 2030. You will lead best practice around environmental sustainability across sites and engage staff to consider their own impact.

A leading literacy charity is looking for a Finance Assistant to join its small, closeknit team. The charity empowers children, young people and adults from disadvantaged communities with the literacy skills they need to succeed. You will need to work from the office in Vauxhall at least one day per week, but can work from home the remainder of the week. Salary £25,000 - £28,000 per annum.

This is a permanent, full time role (35 hours per week). You will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the other members in the Finance Team.

The post holder's main duties and responsibilities are:

• Undertake month-end bank reconciliations, monitor balances and make transfers when required
• Process bank transactions including depositing cheques
• Check bank receipts daily, matching to income expected and liaising with other departments as necessary to ensure they're coded correctly
• Take card payments over the phone, and work with the other finance team members to process cheques and cash
• Import sales invoices from our CRM system (Salesforce) into accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), and carry out reconciliations of income
• Chase outstanding debts and manage aged debtors, including working with the Head of Finance and department leads as necessary
• Process and input staff expenses
• Process and input purchase invoices, ensuring they're authorised and coded correctly
• Liaise with suppliers and be first point of contact for accounts payable queries
• Check and reconcile bank payments daily and liaise with other team members and other departments on managing payments
• Process payments to HMRC, and other ad hoc payments as required
• Prepare Gift Aid claims and submit to HMRC
• Support the audit process as required

Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK is a registered education charity on a mission to change that. We run workshops educating young people about healthy and unhealthy behaviours, so that they can avoid abuse and thrive in relationships. 

Using film and guided discussions, our workshop leaders support children and young people in honest conversations about relationships and leave them better equipped to spot the early warning signs of abuse and inspire them to enjoy healthy, fulfilling relationships.  We explore the 10 signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships and include practical lessons young people want to learn about (like consent) and practice scenarios in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Job Description 

LMK is looking for passionate and organised educators (LMK Leaders) to run community workshops, aimed at young people aged between 11 and 24. Through engaging, relatable, workshops you will help young people identify signs of healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviours, provide strategies for them to recognise the early warning signs of abuse and give them tools to keep themselves and their friends safe. 

The minimum hours required per workshop is 3 hrs. This includes arriving 30 minutes before delivery, 1.5 to 2 hrs delivery and then remaining back 10 minutes and being accessible to young people who would like further information or a one-to-one conversation, surrounding the subject of relationships.

There is also 30 minutes admin, which is usually completed off-site, such as inputting student surveys and a Leader survey.

Responsibilities 

• Always adhere to LMK and partner safeguarding practices and procedures.

• Respond to comms (emails/WhatsApp) sent out by LMK core team members, in a timely manner, to support planning and organising of sessions.

• Meet with co-facilitators to carry out pre-session planning, minimum two working days before delivery.

• Plan and deliver interactive LMK workshops in educational, sports and community settings in line with LMK delivery style and ethos.

• Use your experience and knowledge of the issues affecting young people to tailor the workshops accordingly. 

• Ensure all youth participants and the adults in school/community organisations who attend a LMK workshop complete the post session feedback surveys.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

About the Team:
WaterAid has established an internal audit function within the Global Assurance Team in order to provide Directors and Trustees with an opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance. Internal Audit carries out audits in the UK, other WaterAid Federation Member Countries and WaterAid Country Programmes, including audits of partner organisations. Internal Audit also provides an advisory service to management on issues of risk management, governance and control. About the Role:
As our diligent and tenacious Internal Auditor, you will deliver an agreed programme of audits across WaterAid and its partner organisations and other ad hoc work and investigations as necessary. WaterAid is committed to ensuring the highest levels of professional competence and financial integrity. The post holder will be expected to meet this commitment through the delivery of an agreed programme of internal audit work, by performing audits across the WaterAid global federation and its partner organisations, supporting management on ad hoc projects, conducting investigations and reviews, as necessary. Job Title: Senior Finance Coordinator

Salary: £37,500 plus Study Assistance

Responsible To: Finance Manager

Job Purpose

To manage the day-to-day accounting and financial tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, and providing support in the preparation of financial reports. This includes processing of both purchase and sales invoices and the reconciliation of the books of prime entry. You will assist senior members of the finance team at month end and year end.

Main Duties

1. Go through relevant financial procedures as necessary with new staff.

2. Set up and train new starters on the purchase order system.

3. Review and post all monthly petty cash and prepaid card returns per the management accounts timetable.

4. Maintain the Purchase Ledger making any changes necessary such as name and bank details with the necessary correct documentation.

5. Maintain the Sales Ledger making any changes necessary such as name and bank details with the necessary correct documentation.

6. To clear accounts payable queries daily

7. Answer queries via telephone and e-mail relating to creditors and payment of invoices.

8. Reconcile monthly the balances on the creditor ledger and supplier statements.

Donor Finance Cost and Pricing Manager - up to £51,000. London - Hybrid

For an International NGO operating in 40 countries worldwide, we are recruiting a Donor Finance Cost and Pricing Manager - Programme Design and Development. Reporting to the Senior Cost and Pricing Manager, this role will partner with the Programme Design and Development Team to secure new funding via first-class responses to country-level, multi-country, regional and global opportunities for donor funding. This role will support the team in ensuring overall quality of cost proposals and bid submissions while building capability of in-country support teams to create effective cost proposals and program budgets.

Main Duties:

• Develop Cost Proposals: Supporting the proposal development processes and coordinate the Donor cost proposal; reviewing budget templates and cost guidance for country programs, ensuring all Donor cost requirements are met. Travel to country programme to assist in budget building as required
• Manage Relationships: Coordinate with partners for the provision of budget guidelines and time-lines, review partner budget submissions ensuring standards are maintained. Ensure handover from proposal stage to securing a project is managed effectively
• Create and distribute information packs for partners with supporting financial information. Train country Programmes in the use of proposal templates and develop tools and processes for developing proposals and budgets
