About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor in our Estates team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in managing and supporting the implementation of health and safety across an organisation. There will be a wide range of responsibilities from policy to the operational level. Activities range from office- and shop-based staff to health workers, outreach workers, and a small maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• To be ‘first point of call’ for people with PSP & CBD and their families living in North and Northeast region including, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear & Northumberland. Providing people with support and information over the phone and via email.
• To raise awareness of PSP & CBD across all health and social care disciplines in the region by engaging with HSCP’s and neurology clinics.

At Thrive, our Practitioners work with plants and people to improve an individual’s physical and psychological health, social interaction. skills and confidence.

We’re looking for a Specialist STH Practitioner with qualifications in Horticulture and a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement who can deliver, primarily, our City & Guild Level 1 Practical Horticulture Skills for our Pathways programme. At the Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year. We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. This role will support the Senior Insight Manager in delivering policy research and insight as part of the new insight function. This role sits at the intersection of research and policy, ensuring that evidence is not only generated, but interpreted and mobilised effectively to inform forward-looking organisational positioning.

What you will be doing:

As Policy Research Manager, you’ll play a central role in building and mobilising the evidence needed to influence policy and public debate on mobility, disability and welfare reform. Working closely with colleagues across Insight, Policy and Public Affairs, you’ll help to ensure that the Foundation has a robust, timely and compelling evidence base to support advocacy, engagement with decision-makers, and external partnerships.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

The Role

The Trusts & Grants Fundraiser will be responsible for developing and delivering a trusts and foundations income stream, identifying new funding opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing supporters.

You will research prospective funders, craft persuasive applications and proposals, and manage reporting requirements to ensure strong stewardship of grant funders.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify new grant-making trusts and foundations aligned with the charity’s mission
• Develop and submit high-quality funding applications and proposals
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing trust and foundation supporters
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders
• Prepare compelling impact reports and funding updates
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to gather project information and outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of applications, income and reporting deadlines

The salary is £51,241, plus £2,000 London Weighting if applicable and a contributory pension scheme. The position is home-based UK-wide, with required travel to our London-based Hub space in Kennington. Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

• Professionally qualified accountant (CA, CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Operated at senior management level; demonstrable cross-organisational management beyond one function.
• Proven experience leading or co-leading change/transformations.
• Strong systems background/interest, with proven experience in delivering systems changes or improvements.
• Experience in governance accountability.

Desirable

• Understanding of wider organisational systems (risk, H&S, payroll).
• Previous experience in wider business activities such as IT and marketing.

Experience across governance, IT, marketing or wider operational oversight would be advantageous.
