The Alliance is looking to recruit a Children's Services Manager to join the Children's Services Department to lead our services in the South and South East of England. This role focusses on supporting our settings in this area however, you will need to be available to support settings nationally as required.

Are you passionate about supporting victims of domestic abuse and making a real difference in their lives? Join our dedicated and compassionate team as an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA).

In this role, you will provide high-quality, survivor-centred support to standard and medium-risk victims of domestic abuse, helping them to increase their safety, navigate their options, and make informed choices about their future.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed, survivor-centred support to high-risk victims of domestic abuse
• Carry out comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning, using tools such as DASH
• Advocate on behalf of survivors with statutory and voluntary agencies, including police, social care, housing, health, and legal services
• Represent and support clients through the MARAC process, ensuring risks and actions are clearly communicated and followed up
• Support survivors to understand their options around criminal justice, civil remedies, housing, and welfare
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records in line with GDPR, safeguarding, and organisational policies
• Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns involving adults and children
• Build strong multi-agency relationships to improve outcomes and reduce risk for survivors

You will need to be a compassionate and resilient professional with:

• A minimum of an A level, NVQ3 or equivalent, a degree or SafeLives (Desirable not essential)
• IDVA qualification (Desirable not essential)
• Comprehensive knowledge of domestic abuse, it's impact and relevant legislation

Purpose of the role:

You will help form part of a UK-wide team of remote Helpline Advisors operating the only modern slavery specific helpline in the UK. After completing our training package for new Helpline Advisors (approximately four weeks) you will begin working as part of a collaborative and dynamic team responding to a variety of callers and contacts.

You will be answering incoming calls, making callouts, sending emails, drafting referrals to external agencies, and maintaining accurate data will be your day-to-day responsibilities.

You will contribute to a service that as well as providing information, advice and guidance to our service users, also helps create one of the largest non-governmental bodies of data on the scale of modern slavery in the UK which is used to influence strategy and policy at local, national and international levels.

You will provide trauma informed and person-centred information, advice, and guidance to a variety of caller types, including people in and out of exploitation, professionals, members of the public, and businesses.

About Compassion in Dying and the information line service

At Compassion in Dying, we want people to be in control of their end-of-life decisions because no one is better to make them. We support people to make informed decisions, start honest conversations about death and dying with loved ones, and record and revisit their wishes whenever they want to.

Many people tell us they want to be in charge of decisions about their care and treatment, but struggle to access clear information or encounter reluctance to have open conversations about death and dying. Our nurse-led information line exists to change that. We enable people to plan ahead and to be in control of their end-of-life decisions, including in situations where they may no longer be able to make decisions for themselves.

Demand for the service consistently exceeds capacity. We are therefore expanding our clinical team and are looking for two experienced nurses to provide verbal and written information and support that is accurate, clear and practical.

This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse with experience in palliative care and excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information in a straightforward and sensitive way by phone and email. This new permanent role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of an expanding information service that delivers direct support and drives improvements in practice.·

Purpose of the role:

Seasonal Worker Scheme (SWS) call handlers will be responsible for responding to a variety of forms of contact made through the SWS support line. You will work as part of a small but dynamic and friendly team responding to a variety of callers and contacts. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include answering incoming calls and contacts, making callouts, sending emails, drafting referrals to external agencies, and maintaining accurate data. You will form part of a triage service that will signpost callers and contacts to identified third parties who can deal appropriately with their enquiry. You will ensure all actions and data are recorded accurately and promptly to aid relevant follow up and close out of issues. You will be person-centred and deal with a variety of worker issues, including dealing with workers who may be in situations of exploitation. SWS call handlers will report directly to the Worker Wellbeing Manager within our Business Services Team.

PMRGCAuk is a small national charity dedicated to supporting people affected by polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) and giant cell arteritis (GCA). We have a big impact, supporting patients with our small staff team and with the help of a proactive team of volunteers and working closely with leading rheumatologists and researchers to improve diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and dynamic Outreach Development Coordinator 

This is a newly created role designed to develop and support our volunteer network within the organisation. We currently have more than 50 volunteers working for us on our helpline, running local groups, administration and our online forum, HealthUnlocked and they are a crucial part of our service delivery.

Working closely with our small staff team and trustees, this role is intended to provide a solid framework for the volunteers within the organisation, as well as developing a strategy for continuing to grow our volunteer pipeline and expand our services.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and manage a volunteer strategy for the organisation

· Recruit, induct, support and manage a range of volunteer roles within the organisation, including our local group organisers, helpline volunteers and HealthUnlocked volunteers

· Support existing local groups and develop the establishment of new groups, with a particular focus on areas where we are limited in terms of numbers of groups, ie the Midlands and North of England

· Provide ongoing day-to-day support to volunteers

· Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for volunteers

· Network and liaise with local health professionals to raise the profile of the organisation and services and encourage group participation.

· Update volunteers on the latest developments within the charity and within the wider PMR/GCA community, including latest research and news

· Working alongside the Director, support the fundraising strategy to ensure sustainability of the charity and support fundraising initiatives within the community

We know that 91% of people affected by a brain tumour will have experienced a negative impact to their emotional well-being; often exacerbated by cognitive issues, personality changes, long term side effects and reduced prognosis. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about talking to those affected by a brain tumour diagnosis and supporting them through our different channels, including phone line, live chat and email.

In this role, you will work across both our Counselling Service and Adults support team, helping us provide a seamless, joined up experience for our service users. You’ll provide empathetic, practical support directly to individuals, whilst also supporting the day to day running of our free counselling service - overseeing referrals, supporting assessments and helping ensure each element of the service meets our standards and the needs of the community. By bridging both teams, you will play a key role in making sure people receive the right emotional and practical support at the right time, no matter how they reach us.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Someone who can support a wide range of people – from those who are looking for general information about treatment or care, to those who need more detailed support from the point of diagnosis, you will be passionate about improving the lives of those affected by a brain tumour.

You will be empathetic and professional, with experience of working in a busy admin or service delivery role. The ideal candidate would also have a strong understanding of counselling principles and practice and would be able to confidently explain our different support services to service users. We are looking for someone with excellent IT and telephone skills and the ability to learn and use various databases is essential.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide specialist emotional and practical support and information to people affected by brain tumours, their friends, families and carers through channels including phone, email and live chat.

• Offer enhanced follow up support for individuals who may benefit from counselling, helping them explore their needs and acting as key link between the helpline and counselling service.

• Provide administrate support for our counselling team, including managing a busy diary to ensure effective and high-quality service delivery.

• Complete counselling assessments to identify needs, risks and appropriate support options for anyone who has referred into the service

• Maintain appropriate and accurate records on our service system and CRM database, as required to evidence the impact and reach of our support services

• Support a team of volunteer assessors and helpline triage volunteers to ensure they receive the help and guidance they need to deliver their role.

• Provide accurate, up-to-date information based on current research, clinical guidance and treatments, conducting your own research and adapting communication to each person, while sharing key insights with the team.

• Offer coaching guidance to empower individuals, helping them to achieve the appropriate next steps.

Cleveland Independant Stalking Advocates deliver high-quality advocacy, advice, and emotional support to victims of stalking across Cleveland. The position will support victims to navigate the criminal justice system (CJS), civil and family courts, and wider statutory and voluntary services. The role will also involve multi-agency collaboration, risk assessment, safety planning, and supporting victims to understand and exercise their rights.

The postholder will support the Cleveland satellite project, which operates independently and remotely from the Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s main office. The postholder will be responsible for casework assigned to Cleveland and promoting stalking services available to Cleveland

About the Role

Citizens Advice, in partnership with The Trussell Trust, have been running the Help through Hardship Helpline (formerly the Trussell Trust Foodbank helpline) for just over a year. The helpline has been highly successful in reaching those clients most in need. To date Citizens Advice has answered nearly 57,000 calls, helped feed over 70,000 people and recorded £13 million in expected financial gains for clients.

The Helpline has been extended to local Citizens Advice offices and we're looking for new advisers to join our team in Liverpool who will provide information and advice on the issues clients are facing, and help them access foodbank vouchers.

The successful candidate will provide generalist advice in a wide range of enquiry areas such as benefits, housing and employment. You will provide telephone advice within the working hours of the service and work with the on-site supervisor to support Clients most in need.

You will have excellent communication skills, be confident, motivated and willing to try new things. We’re not looking for the finished article, if you have the right attitude then we can help to develop your skills.

1. One years’ experience of delivering generalist advice within Citizens Advice or another quality assured environment such as AQS.

2. Good IT knowledge with an ability to support delivery of advice

3. Ability to support and encourage others in using online systems and resources to enable them to self-help.

4. Experience of using interpersonal skills, including sensitive listening and questioning skills to understand the needs of others, especially in the context of telephony.

5. Understanding of barriers individuals have to accessing telephone services.

6. Ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively.

7. Effective oral and written communication skills, with particular emphasis on telephone work.

8. Ability and willingness to work both on own initiative and as part of a team.

9. Willingness to learn and develop skills and be flexible with service delivery.

10. Understanding of the issues affecting society and their implications for clients and service provision.

11. Ability to assist with research and campaigns works by providing information about clients’ circumstances

12. Understanding of and commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service and its equal opportunities policies.

As a Client Support Advisor at LASAG, you will be one of the frontline points of contact for
individuals affected by asbestos-related illness. You will provide compassionate,
knowledgeable, and practical support—via phone, email, and in-person—to patients,
families, and carers. Your work will help ease their journey, signpost them to appropriate
services, and ensure they feel supported and heard.

Handle incoming enquiries via LASAG helpline (phone, email) in a timely and
empathetic manner.
 Provide emotional support and active listening.
 Signpost clients to relevant services such as support groups, benefit advice, legal /
compensation services, and medical professionals.
 Maintain accurate records of client interactions, safeguarding confidentiality and
adhering to data protection policies.
 Help organise and deliver support group sessions (both virtual and in-person) and
other LASAG-led activities.
 Collaborate with nurses, trustees, volunteers, and partner organisations to ensure
continuity of care.
 Support with outreach efforts (e.g., community events, awareness campaigns) to raise
awareness of LASAG’s services.
 Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback on service delivery,
identifying gaps, and helping to develop best practices.

As a Supporter Care Officer you will play a crucial role in being the first point of contact for supporters, delivering an excellent support experience. ​

• Lead on thanking supporters for all our existing Appeals, Core Campaigns and National Events; working with other teams to ensure that supporters are thanked in a timely manner
   
• Work with the Community Fundraising Team to evaluate the next best ask and proactively contact supporters with promoting fundraising and campaigning products for new and existing supporters
   
• Support all new Individual Giving and Supporter Care activities
   
• Provide excellent customer service to existing and potential new supporters offering an empathetic and supportive service via the main telephone line, email and general correspondence ​
