We are looking to recruit a Managing Editor to assist the Head of Publishing and Editor-in-Chief in coordinating, editing, publishing, promoting and developing The International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics (IJGO) and any other publications supplemental to the Journal.

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.

Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.

Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Experience of bid/grant writing would be desirable.

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.

A great deal has been done to prepare the organisation for such an important time and so now there is a real opportunity for this role to lead in being a figurehead for the charity and representing all that is achieved at GFS in national events and discussions, to best represent the girls of today.

Education should be the means to break the link between demographics and destiny. Yet every week 109 children in England – equivalent to three full classrooms – are asked to leave their schools and never come back, with disastrous personal and societal consequences. The Difference, a young education charity, was founded to change the story on this lost learning. It exists to build the status and expertise of teachers working with vulnerable children, particularly those who are excluded from mainstream schools.

By 2030, The Difference want rates of exclusion and absence to be falling nationally and for schools to be better equipped to support all children, including those who may be vulnerable.

The organisation was born out of a year of research into school exclusions with think-tank IPPR. This research identified a lack of inclusion expertise in schools and proposed a new leadership development programme to fill this gap. In 2018, The Difference founder Kiran hired the team who took this idea from concept to reality, beginning work with our first schools.

The Difference is now a 22-strong team delivering multiple school leadership programmes, alongside a growing research and policy arm. The team is supported by our Youth Advisory Board, made up of young people who have experienced exclusion and who provide their expertise and insights on how school inclusion work should be done. This work is needed more than ever. Effects of COVID-19, coupled with the spiralling cost of living, have substantially increased levels of vulnerability. Schools serving excluded pupils face under-funding. The Difference has had excellent early impact but there is work ahead to capture this, share learning with schools and policy-makers, and grow our capacity to lower exclusions across England.

Our first permanent Head of Fundraising will drive the growth and sustainability of our fundraising function. World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.

About World Child Cancer

Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.

World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.

Overview of the role

This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.

You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. Shelter’s mature fundraising team has seen continuous year on year growth. The directorate generates over £65m gross income, of which a high percentage is unrestricted, giving us an exceptional level of investment flexibility. This particular role sits within our High Value Partnerships division, which includes Philanthropy, Trusts & Foundations, Legacies, and Corporate Partnerships fundraising specialists. About the role

An ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in a career in corporate fundraising or charity retail, you’ll play a key role in developing Shelter’s retail presence and raising vital funds. You’ll be responsible for enabling stock donations from major retailers, and helping research and develop new relationships with businesses to generate stock and secure their expertise on a pro-bono basis. The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a prestigious, high profile organisation based in London to find their Prospect Research Executive. This is a One Year maternity cover role starting in May.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working from their Chelsea or Sutton office 2 days per week.

As Prospect Research Executive, you will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy Research & Operations and the Prospect Research Manager to deliver the prospect research, pipeline management and information management function within Philanthropy and Partnerships. By doing so, you will be making a major contribution to growing the Charity's high value supporter base; and to maximizing its engagement with existing and potential supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver high quality prospect research briefings on individuals, trusts and corporates for P&P, members of the Charity’s senior leadership as well as senior volunteers and board members.

· Ensure research output is timely, insightful, accurate and well presented; in compliance with relevant data protection laws and Charity’s Supporter Promise.

· Assist in prioritising senior volunteers’ approaches to prospects within their own networks.

· Assist in collecting and analysing data from the public domain in order to carry out due diligence research on prospective major donors, in line with the Charity’s Moral & Ethical Fundraising Policy and internal guidelines.

· Support the Prospect Research Manager with the management and analysis of prospect information through The Raiser’s Edge database according to P&P’s needs.

· Ensure database systems are maintained accurately by analysing and updating information on individuals, companies, trusts and foundations.

Person Specification:

· Excellent written communication skills and the ability to present complex information for a range of audiences in a variety of formats.

· Ability to work to the highest standards, to be analytical, methodical and thorough with meticulous attention to detail.

· Excellent knowledge of the principles of major gift fundraising to include identification, research, solicitation and stewardship.

· Experience of using and championing the intelligent use of Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM system for data capture and reporting.

· An interest in cancer and health issues, with an understanding of NHS practices and procedures.

· A desire and aptitude to develop a career in prospect research.

We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Operations Executive to join our team and support operations for high value fundraising activity, covering the Corporate, Community and Philanthropy teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting High Value Operations: You’ll work on a variety of regular and project-based high value operation activities with a focus on our Corporate and Community Teams, including:
  • Supporting project planning and evaluation.
  • Managing inductions and overseeing training programmes.

About the team

About PCR 

Prostate Cancer Research exists to honour the men and families who have been through things no family should have to go through, and to work for a future where no one needs to fear a prostate cancer diagnosis. 

We are always working to provide resources to help, support and empower patients. Giving them the information they need to make better choices about their treatment, while working to identify and target specific unmet needs in the prostate cancer ecosystem, such as racial inequality and bone metastasis.

Our dedicated staff team is the key to our success, expanding the amount of research that we fund five times over in four years. PCR has been shortlisted for an Impact Prize and won the Change Project of the year award in 2023

Ideal Candidate: 

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and driven Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive to join our team in this integral and newly created role. The role will lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, and developing and managing a pipeline of strategic corporate partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with corporate partners, understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work.

Key responsibilities:

· Identify and nurture relationships with prospective corporate partners aligned with the mission and values of PCR.

· Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective corporate partners.

· Work closely with PCR's delivery departments and other income streams to identify, develop and maximise income generation opportunities.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create compelling funding proposals and presentations tailored to the needs and objectives of corporate partners.

· Lead negotiations and secure funding support from corporate partners for activities aligned with PCR’s programmes of work.

· Effectively manage project monitoring and reporting for PCR’s existing funded activities with corporate partners, including regular communication, reporting, and public recognition of contributions (as appropriate), working closely with PCR’s delivery and communications teams.

· Stay informed of industry trends, corporate philanthropy initiatives, and relevant developments to inform partnership strategies and opportunities.

· Represent PCR at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnership opportunities and expand our network within the corporate sector.

Skills and experience:

· Experience of developing and managing at least five-figure partnerships with pharmaceutical and healthcare related companies is desirable.

· Experience of creating and organising supporter engagement events is desirable.

· Excellent and persuasive communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners.

· Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and deliver upon corporate partnership objectives.

· Experience of preparing compelling and persuasive funding proposals, presentations and reports.

· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work flexibly according to the demands of the role, including the potential for UK and international travel and attendance at events and conferences.
