RISE is a collaborative effort with the goal of delivering a unified approach to women’s empowerment in global supply chains. Bringing together the world’s four largest women’s empowerment programs in the global supply chains - BSR’s HERproject, CARE International, Gap Inc.’s P.A.C.E. Program and ILO-IFC Better Work, RISE will leverage the combined experience in over 21 countries to achieve transformative change for the millions of women who work within supply chains globally.
RISE will focus on three interrelated pillars of action to tackle both immediate barriers and medium/long term structural improvements for women workers. These include increased agency, confidence, and communication, increased access to and control over financial products, services and resources, enhancement of the capabilities of unions and industry organizations, and implementation of policies at the workplace level, but also regional and national levels that promote gender equality.
Pillar 1: Capacity Strengthening: Working in factories in key countries, RISE will achieve impact with a network of local civil society partners and organizations working on gender equality to deliver worker capacity building programs. There are four options available (i) Foundation – a 13 month needs based worker training program (ii) Digital – an 8-month tablet-based learning on health, financial literacy and stress management, (iii) Respect - one year program on gender-based Violence prevention and remediation and (iv) Financial Health – a one-year program on financial capability, resilience and inclusion.
Pillar 2: Market Transformation: RISE will work with and encourage leadership from industry actors (brands, buyers, suppliers, and worker representatives) to improve operating practices at all levels in global value chains to support greater gender equality outcomes.
Pillar 3: Influencing: RISE will leverage the founding partners’ existing relationships and identify opportunities to work in partnership to influence employer/company/factory policies, programs, and budgets, as well as government policies that impact workers, in particular women workers.
PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT
The consultant will lead the implementation of RISE’s MEL framework to ensure that data and insights inform the organization’s work and effectively demonstrate our impact.
The consultant will embed MEL systems across the organization, provide technical support and guide the teams. In addition, the consultant will lead on evaluation, develop data collection tools, analyze data and share reports and learning to improve program effectiveness.
The consultant will also demonstrate RISE’s impact to internal and external stakeholders.
Scope of Work
MEL Management and Implementation
- Implement MEL frameworks, including Theories of Change, Logical Frameworks, KPIs, and outcome indicators, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with RISE values.
- Systematically integrate MEL across all programs and organizational processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Build teams’ MEL capacities and capabilities through direct technical support and guidance on MEL systems, data use, and strategic alignment.
- Foster a culture of learning through strategic reviews with the teams, gathering evidence and learning: key insights, impact narratives and lessons learnt.
- Lead quality assurance of MEL processes to improve rigor and integrity. Assess their strengths and weaknesses and recommend improvements.
- Provide strategic MEL input to support organizational planning, grant reporting, and decision-making, providing insights that support RISE’s aim of multistakeholder action.
Program Evaluation
- Design and implement robust evaluation methodologies. Refine measurement indicators and develop tools for data collection (quantitative and qualitative).
- Develop and oversee data collection tools such as surveys, focus group protocols, and interview guides.
- Lead baseline, midline, and endline evaluations, including analysis and reporting.
- Lead on impact assessments for RISE’s program areas
Data Management, Analysis & Reporting
- Manage data collection, cleaning, analysis, and visualization using appropriate software tools.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency and compliance with ethical standards and GDPR.
- Produce high-quality, accessible impact reports for internal and external audiences.
- Develop key learning products to improve internal and external communications.
- Proactively explore innovative ways to analyze data, including the use of A.I., to support more efficient analysis.
Communications
· Demonstrate RISE’s impact through a variety of channels like external publications, reports and insights, communicating value to stakeholders.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders by showcasing social impact stories and deliverables.

Person specification
Essential criteria:
- Minimum8+ years of experience in MEL roles within sustainability, development, or impact-focused organizations.
- Proven experience designing and leading MEL strategies and frameworks, preferably across multi-country or cross-sectoral programs.
- Strong background in both qualitative and quantitative methods and tools.
- Knowledge of leading global best practice and emerging trends in the collection, measurement, management and reporting of social impact data.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, including the ability to process large amounts of information, distribute it appropriately and extract critical analysis from it.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and visualization platforms.
- Demonstrated experience translating complex data into strategic insights and engaging reports.
- Strong project management, research, reporting writing and presentation skills.

Reporting and Location
The consultant will report to the RISE Program Director. This is a remote part-time (2-3 days) role, with preference for UK-based consultants. The initial contract will be for a period of six months, at which point it will be reviewed for extension.

Where You’ll Be Delivering Our Mission
Most of the time, you’ll be based from our brand new Unloc Leeds office space in the city centre, or delivering programmes in Schools and Colleges in the Leeds City Region.
You’ll also be out and about delivering programmes to our partners in other areas across the North of England. Occasionally, you will travel to London or Portsmouth (our HQ) to spend time with other teams. You will likely have more travel in your first three months as part of your induction programme. Of course, any travel costs outside of commuting to/from the Leeds city centre office will be covered, alongside an allowance for meals and accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the implementation of the Unloc Leeds Strategy

Working in partnership with the Senior Team to ensure the delivery of the Unloc Leeds strategy. This includes;

Building new relationships with local schools and colleges.

Facilitating free-to-access Changemaker Challenge days for local schools in Leeds.

Delivery of workshops and presentations, attendance at events to to promote Unloc’s programmes and initiatives to schools, colleges and community groups.

Working in partnership and building new stakeholder relationships

Liaise and act as a primary point of contact for current key stakeholders to promote Unloc’s work. This will include Local Authorities, Education Trusts, Businesses and Community Interest Groups.

Implement engagement strategies to build deep and meaningful new relationships with key stakeholders and people - developing advocacy for Unloc and our mission - and garnering insights into their challenges and priorities.

Represent Unloc in external meetings, conferences and networking opportunities - building relationships that could support our efforts to generate new income.
Organise, plan and facilitate changemaker projects and programmes

Organise, plan and facilitate bespoke changemaker events (with support from the Operations and Quality teams) for individual businesses, grant giving bodies, schools & colleges. These will span all four of our programme pillars; youth voice, leadership, entrepreneurship, and careers and employability. This generally involves designing agendas, booking speakers, managing event resources, actively leading individual sessions, briefing event support staff, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

Contract: Maternity Cover, Full Time, 35 hours per week.

About the Team
The Philanthropy and Trusts Team raises circa £6m per year from philanthropists, trusts and foundations. The audience is individual philanthropists (gifts over £10k per annum), and trusts and foundations (grants over £25k per annum).
About the Role:
As Senior Philanthropy Manager (Maternity Cover) you will:
- Proactively build a personal portfolio of HNWIs and UHNWIs able to give £1m+ through relationship development, appropriate and dynamic pitching and influencing and negotiating expertise.
- Effectively line manage three direct line reports. Lead by example and support high performance, ensuring the professional and personal development goals of staff are met.
- Proactively manage, with the prospect research team, the philanthropy team’s new business pipeline to achieve team and organisational objectives, working across the Strategic Partnerships department and across the WaterAid Federation as appropriate.
- Be the senior level contact for all aspects of event planning and delivery, supporting the Philanthropy and Events Manager to manage the strategic planning, development and running of an events programme to time and budget for the benefit of the Philanthropy and Trusts Team, and where appropriate, the wider Strategic Partnerships Department.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Proven track record of raising “Principal gifts” of £1m+.
- Proven ability to manage a successful philanthropic portfolio, achieving targets as part of a strategic plan and maximising income from existing supporters.
- Experience managing the complexities of income management and KPI’s to monitor the teams progress and growth.
- Experience of line management / supervising the work of others; leading and motivating others and driving change.
- Be confident in leading work with senior level stakeholders, both internally and externally, in order to secure significant grants and manage strategic partnerships, using tact and diplomacy.
- Have a passion for international development, a commitment to WaterAid’s stated values and a working style that reflects these.

About the Departments:
Both roles sit within the Cathedral and Church Buildings (CCB) Department, which supports the care and sustainable development of the Church of England's 42 cathedrals and 16,000 church buildings, of which 12,500 are listed, to help fulfil the vision and strategy of the Church of England. It also supports dioceses with the disposal of church buildings no longer required for worship and finding them a new future. Through advice, guidance, advocacy and fundraising, the Department provides strategic support on conservation and caring for historic church buildings, making change to support worship and communities, and working towards Net Zero Carbon 2030. Members of the Department engage with dioceses, parishes and cathedral teams, as well as nationally with government, agencies, charities, funders, General Synod and across the National Church Institutions to make the case for church buildings and their vital role in worship, community and national life.
Buildings for Mission team
The Buildings for Mission project is an initiative of the Department funded by the Church Commissioners from the 2023-25 triennium allocations. It is providing £11m of support to dioceses and parishes through advice and grants, structured around three main activities. The Church Buildings Support Officers (CBSO) Grant Scheme supports salary and related costs for new posts to provide advice to parishes on repair and maintenance and on developing the wider use and support for churches through community engagement. The Minor Repairs and Improvements Grants Fund is devolving £6.2m to dioceses to distribute in the form of grants for urgent and necessary small-scale repair projects or improvement projects. The Church Buildings Management Partnerships (CBMPs) initiative aims at the formation of partnerships to provide maintenance and insurance services to member churches. Pilot projects are being grant-aided over the period 2025-26.
The Grants Officer role within the Buildings for Mission team will provide a responsive service for the grant schemes under the Buildings for Mission initiative:
- The Church Buildings Support Officers (CBSO) Grant Scheme,
- The Minor Repairs and Improvements Grants Fund, and
- The Church Buildings Management Partnerships (CBMP) pilots.
Net Zero Carbon Programme
The Net Zero Carbon Programme was established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030. The team manages the distribution of a grant portfolio worth £190 million across 2023-31, aimed at supporting and equipping dioceses, parishes and other parts of the Church to reach the milestones set out in the Routemap to Net Zero 2030.
The Grants Officer role within the Net Zero Carbon programme will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Net Zero Carbon Programme's grant streams, supporting it in delivering a consistent and responsive service to grantees.
In both roles, duties will include:
- Assisting the Grants Manager with general operation and oversight of the schemes
- Providing a knowledgeable and responsive service to dioceses as first point of contact for the grant schemes
- Handling general enquiries and pre-application engagement, assessing and responding to expressions of interest from prospective applicants
- Handling a caseload of live grants
Key role requirements:
- For the Buildings for Mission role, the post-holder will be required to come into the primary office location (Church House) or another NCI or diocesan office location (subject to agreement with relevant office management) a minimum of one day per week.
- For the Net Zero Carbon Programme role, the post-holder will required to be home-based, with regular meetings in Church House Westminster and occasional travel elsewhere (up to two days per month).
- These are both fixed-term contracts, Buildings for Mission team (12 month contract) and Net Zero Carbon Programme (12 month contract). There is a possibility that these contract lengths could be extended to the end of 2028, but this is dependant on further funding being agreed.
- You will need to have knowledge/experience of historic and/or natural environment conservation or heritage management OR experience working in the environment or sustainability sector (depending on which role you choose to apply for).
- Both roles require good written/spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work well both on own initiative and good analytical skills.

Project Background
Come and join our award-winning place-based volunteering programme that works with residents living across Hackney and the City of London.
You will be based out in the community - the programme is based at GP practices - to engage, support and enable local residents and patients to deliver local services for themselves, to meet local needs. We support residents to come together, to share their skills and experience for the benefit of each other, to deliver local groups and activities such as a book group, film club, exercise classes or cooking group. Residents from diverse backgrounds and demographics attend these activities together and make new connections, building strong local communities, all working together to make their area a better place to live. People, many of whom are isolated across all ages, and who have difficult life circumstances, are brought together, providing each other with mutual support and encouragement to develop new skills and pursue life goals, and to feel better able to voice their concerns to services.
You will be joining a nationally recognised project - having won an award from the Royal Society of Public Health in November 2024 - to support residents to fulfil their personal goals, make connections with others, and design activities and services that meet local needs. You will also be supporting people to improve their mental and physical health through signposting them to appropriate services and encouraging them to talk to their GP if they have concerns; and will be working in partnership with GP practice staff to co-create volunteer roles to make the practice more efficient and a better place to visit.

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a medium sized charity (currently 30 staff) based in the London borough of Hackney, working to support local residents to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others.

In 2021, we were awarded the Freedom of the Borough Award by Hackney Council for our efforts to support residents during COVID, which included mobilising over 2000 volunteers to deliver food, prescriptions and essential items, provide emotional support to isolated residents and support the vaccine rollout.
We work with hundreds of diverse community organisations and deliver various programmes to help residents share their skills and deliver their own social action projects to improve people’s lives. These include a befriending programme, volunteering brokerage matching local people to volunteer roles based on their skills, interests and goals, a specialist mental health programme, peer research and multiple resident engagement programmes at GP surgeries and estates across Hackney.
Post holders need to be enthusiastic and engaging, bringing energy to the role, be self-motivating and confident to work primarily alone, albeit with some support from the team members based at other sites.

This role is all about driving effective communication during a transformative period for the organisation. In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of policing. We need to inspire and connect with police forces across England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. Key Responsibilities Include:
We are making good progress building the evidence of what works within and around policing to reduce violence, with new Practice Guidance and implementation resources on diversion and focused deterrence. But the big risk is that we publish guidance and nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to work out the best way to make this change happen by getting more senior leaders within policing to use our Guidance, toolkit, research and implementation tools to inform day to day operations and strategic decision making. This will involve:
- Developing great relationships with senior leaders and frontline police officers, generating a strong understanding of key policing issues, needs and behaviours, and building credibility and trust with the sector.
- Developing, managing and tracking the change plan to get more senior leaders to be aware of and use our Guidance, tools and resources, continuously looking for data-driven improvements.
- Creating practical tools and resources that help leaders put evidence into action.
- Supporting police forces, violence reduction units, and police and crime commissioners to develop or strengthen evidence-based practices, including focused deterrence, hotspots policing, and problem-orientated policing.
- Overseeing our partnership with the Society for Evidence Based Policing, helping us to collectively achieve our shared aims to promote evidence-base practice across the sector.
- Working out other effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen, from putting on a brilliant conference to regular virtual learning events and presentations.

We are seeking Global Majority Worker to provide support and advocacy to women aged 16 years and over from the global majority and have suffered domestic and/or sexual violence, racial inequality or oppression.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work and completing outreach with faith based groups and churches to ensure our service is accessible for this marginalised group of women. In this role you will work as part of the Bexley Solace Advocacy and Support Service (SASS), providing support to high-risk survivors of domestic abuse in the borough. About You

Your remit will be to develop and deliver the fundraising strategy. Your income generation toolkit is likely to include trusts and foundations. If you can bring others income streams such as corporates or major donors as well, then that would be the icing on the cake as developing and stewarding strategic relationships will be key to success.

Volunteering for Health is a NHS funded programme to build the capacity and capability of organisations and local health and care systems in England, through the development of volunteering infrastructure. It aims to realise the potential of volunteering in improving the experience and outcomes of people using our health and care systems.
Following a successful bid by Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) as part of a partnership with NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHL Group), NHS Cheshire and Merseyside, and Liverpool City Council we are recruiting for a Volunteering for Health Development Officer to support the partnership in its intention to:
- Establish a robust volunteering infrastructure to address identified health needs and priorities
- Strengthen the capacity of VCFSE (Voluntary Community Faith Social Enterprise) organisations to engage with health volunteering
- Promote collaboration between VCFSE, and statutory organisations to improve health outcomes
- Ensuring sustainability of health volunteering practices beyond the life of the project
- Responding to identified gaps in health volunteering and integrating efforts with local health strategies
The Volunteering for Health Development Officer will support the development and delivery of coherent and sustainable volunteering infrastructure in Liverpool, particularly to grow the level of health and wellbeing linked volunteering opportunities across Liverpool.
