Job description

RANGER CADETS — GRAPHIC DESIGNER (VOLUNTEER ROLE)

Design the look. Shape the brand. Inspire the movement.

Ranger Cadets is a new, independent, inclusive youth organisation with a bold mission: prepare young people aged 11–21 for life through service, community, skills and positive leadership.

We’re building something modern, meaningful and full of energy — and we need a visual identity that reflects that. From roller banners to badges, from posters to certificates, from social media graphics to workbooks… Every design helps tell our story.

To make this vision real, we need a Graphic Designer who can bring creativity, clarity and visual impact to everything we do.

If you love design… If you want to help shape a brand from the ground up… If you want your work to inspire young people and volunteers… This role is perfect for you.

THE VOLUNTEER ROLE: Create the Visual Identity of Ranger Cadets

As our Graphic Designer, you will help design a wide range of materials, including:

  • Roller banners for events and recruitment

  • Posters for community spaces, schools and outreach

  • Social media graphics for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and more

  • Uniform badges that cadets earn and wear with pride

  • Certificates for achievements, promotions and awards

  • Workbooks and learning materials for cadet training

  • Brand assets that strengthen our identity and message

Your designs will be seen by young people, volunteers, partners, schools, community organisations and the wider public.

This is a chance to build a brand from scratch — and make it unforgettable.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Someone who:

  • Has experience or interest in graphic design

  • Enjoys creating clean, modern, youth‑friendly visuals

  • Can work with brand colours, logos and templates

  • Loves designing materials that inspire and motivate

  • Can collaborate with our leadership and programme teams

  • Wants to help build something meaningful and community‑focused

You don’t need formal qualifications. You don’t need agency experience. You just need creativity, passion and a desire to make an impact.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Because your designs will:

  • Inspire young people to join Ranger Cadets

  • Strengthen our identity across London and beyond

  • Help volunteers feel part of something professional and purposeful

  • Make our programme materials engaging and accessible

  • Bring our values — service, community, skills, leadership — to life visually

Your creativity will shape how the world sees Ranger Cadets.

WHAT YOU’LL BE PART OF

Ranger Cadets is:

  • Independent

  • Inclusive

  • Community‑focused

  • Volunteer‑powered

  • Committed to giving young people real opportunities to grow

We partner with local organisations, support community events, and help young people contribute positively to their community.

You won’t just be joining a youth organisation. You’ll be helping build a movement.
