Mind BLMK works across our communities to support positive mental health and wellbeing. Working closely with a range of partners, we offer a number of activities from our wellbeing centres and local venues to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of people in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, and our aim is to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £24,454.04 per annum FTE (£13,879.32 per annum actual for 21 hours per week)
Hours: 21 hours / 4 days per week
Working pattern: The core working pattern is
- Monday 10.00 am–3.00 pm
- Wednesday 10.00 am–4.00 pm
- Thursday 10.00 am–3.00 pm
- Friday 10.00 am–3.00 pm
About the Role
Are you passionate about helping people build confidence, strengthen their wellbeing and feel more connected to their community? Join Mind BLMK as a Recovery Worker and play a hands-on role in supporting adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
You will create welcoming opportunities for people to talk, connect and move forward. From facilitating drop-ins and wellbeing groups to holding one-to-one conversations and developing wellbeing action plans, your work will help people identify their strengths, access the right support and take practical steps towards getting well and staying well.
About You
You will bring at least one year’s experience of supporting people to improve their mental health and wellbeing, together with a compassionate, respectful and recovery-focused approach. You will be comfortable building trust with people from diverse communities, working independently and as part of a small team, and balancing supportive conversations with clear professional boundaries.
Strong communication, organisation and IT skills are essential. Experience of facilitating groups, coordinating volunteers, using service databases, assessing needs or risks, or working with local community resources would be an advantage. You must also be able to travel between locations using your own vehicle or public transport.
