About the Role

Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support working on the refugee resettlement scheme.

Refugee resettlement takes place across Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Over the past 7 years, Upbeat Communities has welcomed and played a key part in the resettlement of Syrian refugees in partnership with local authorities in both counties. This role has included supporting families to apply for universal credit and set up bank accounts, registering with GPs and local schools in addition to integrating into their local community. Since the summer of 2021, we have taken on responsibility for the resettlement of Afghan families in both regions.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Community Rehabilitation Service. The team plays a pivotal role in generating and overseeing referrals for our frontline services whilst managing all children and young people placement-related activity. Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate:

• An understanding of business development and marketing, ideally be in a services-oriented environment but this is not essential.
• Experience in implementing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns – both on and offline, whether to consumers (B2C), professionals (B2B), or government departments/professionals (B2G).

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Senior Individual Giving Officer will play a pivotal role in driving unrestricted income growth from individual supporters at Independent Age. Working closely with the Individual Giving Manager, you will lead on the planning and delivery of supporter acquisition, retention and stewardship activity. You’ll take ownership of key projects and manage multi-channel campaigns and donor journeys that deepen engagement, reduce attrition, and maximise lifetime value. From heartfelt appeals to personalised touchpoints, you’ll ensure every supporter feels valued and connected to our mission.

You will bring experience in managing the planning, budget, set-up, delivery and reporting and analysis of integrated multi-channel digital, direct and offline campaigns and activities that meet and exceed KPI’s. Digital expertise and experience working in a test and learn environment are also key. You’ll have an agile mindset, with the ability to work both proactively and reactively depending on changing priorities.  You must have a passion for, and affinity with, Independent Age’s cause. 

This is a hands-on role with plenty of potential to design and input your own approaches, activities and stewardship to achieve income growth and bring to life the varied work of Independent Age, inspiring supporter loyalty and long-term support.

Do you want to get out there and work in a role where you will support an end to rough sleeping in Oxford? 

We are looking for someone to join the St Mungo’s Street Outreach service; our dynamic street outreach team in Oxford who provide a rapid response service to people who are sleeping rough across Oxford City. The dedicated team works proactively as part of Oxfordshire’s Homeless Alliance to support people who are sleeping rough on the street with key healthcare, benefits, and accommodation support and advice.

• Working as an Outreach Worker you will work with people to assess their needs and deliver a person centred support, as well as working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies across the city to meet client’s individual needs.
• It’s not always an easy job, but the exciting opportunity to work with different people every day, helping individuals experiencing homelessness and the local community end the harms of rough sleeping is highly rewarding.

You will work on a weekly shift rota Monday – Friday including early shifts starting from around 6am and additional shifts from 9am-5pm office hours. Some weekends, bank holidays and late shifts may also be required to ensure we are available to support people experiencing homelessness when they need us the most.

We’re looking for someone who has some understanding of online campaigning, can pick up digital tools quickly, and who is comfortable writing high-quality copy sometimes to tight deadlines.
