About the role:
As an experienced senior manager with a proven track record of leadership in providing services to women experiencing violence and abuse or similar, the post holder will lead our Criminal Justice Services across London and the South East, and other work which compliments the mission and values of Advance.
She will be responsible for building strong relationships and engagement with voluntary and statutory partners and funders, including a network of pan-regional specialist partner organisations, the Ministry of Justice, Local Authorities, The Mayor’s office for Police and Crime, and the Metropolitan Police, as well as a number of trusts and foundations. Working alongside the CEO, Directors and Trustees, she will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality services aligned with Advance’s strategic aims.
About You:
To be successful as the Head of Criminal Justice Services you will need the below experience and skills:
You will be experienced of and have a proven track record of strategic leadership and management. You can demonstrate your experience of developing services at a senior level of management, ideally gained from working at a ‘Head of’ or Senior Services Management level previously. The postholder will deliver her experience of managing contracts, relationships and partnerships and knowledge of safeguarding particularly domestic abuse survivors with multiple disadvantages and needs and their children.
You will be a people person and have a breadth of experience surrounding the range of performance management and developing quality assurance systems. Highly developed in negotiating skills and ability to manage change. Lastly you will be skilled at being and creating an atmosphere of calm, proactive, solution focussed in challenging times

Purpose of the Children and Young People Training Coordinator role:
As Children and Young People Training Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the Children and Young People (CYP) team with the daily functions that are necessary to enable the CYP work (What Works and Expect Respect programmes) to run smoothly and includes the effective and strategic support for training structures by being the key contact for external coordination with schools and the assistance of training delivery. The Training Officer plays an essential role in ensuring that UK-Med delivers high-quality Preparation Training to our global workforce, which consists of both Core Staff and a Register of approx. 1200 healthcare professionals from all over the world. About the role
This is a pivotal role within the organisation which ensures that our training courses run seamlessly. Keeping the learner at the heart of your role, you will be responsible for ensuring our venues, our training team and our learners have all the resources required to deliver high quality and inclusive training. As Project Support Officer you will support the London & South East Area Manager and Regional Managers with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training, giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our London & South East projects as and when required to aid development and growth within the region.
Each of our Projects is run by Project Leaders (volunteer position) and supported by Regional Managers through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your will support the Regional Managers so that they can manage more projects, knowing that you have helped with the embedding of volunteers, along with supporting expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new Project Leaders for the Area.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects. You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.
This role will require some attendance at our Community Meals projects, to support with delivery as necessary, which will include evening and weekend work. As well as projects across London, our South East projects include Southampton, Portsmouth, Aylesbury and exciting new openings in Slough and Reading in 2024.

Purpose of job:
The role leads on key Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) approaches and tools that enable and collate learning across our strategic programmes and funding streams. The role will work closely with the Head of Impact and Learning to deliver key activities and tools that will operationalise Comic Relief’s Learning and Impact Framework, including supporting work on the communication of our impact. The Senior MEL manager also plays an important role in shaping and ensuring consistency of our organisational approach to MEL, enabling ongoing reflection and adaptation to drive a process of continuous improvement in our funding strategies and practices. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that Comic Relief principles of shifting power and anti-racism are applied to our MEL approaches and tools.
Sitting within the Funding team, our MEL team has two MEL Managers that this role will work alongside to bring together the learning and evidence from both our funded partners (our grantees) and Comic Relief staff so that we are better placed to understand our impact.
Key responsibilities:
Strengthening monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Lead the development and maintenance of key tools and approaches that will enable MEL Managers and Portfolio Managers (who manage relationships with our Funded Partners) to log and analyse key evidence and learning in alignment with Comic Relief’s Learning and Impact Framework.
