The Finance and Governance Officer is responsible for the day-to-day financial management, governance support, and administrative oversight of the charity. This role ensures accurate and timely reporting of financial data, effective management of budgets, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for finance and audit. Additionally, the postholder provides key governance support, facilitating the smooth running of the Board of Trustees, maintaining company records, staff records, and ensuring HR policies are reviewed and adhered to.

This position is crucial for maintaining the charity’s operational integrity and supports strategic decision-making by providing robust financial insight and governance expertise.

The role will also play a key role in identifying/sourcing funding for enabling sustainability, by working alongside the Director in drafting proposals/bids.

The post will also work closely with the Project and Engagement Coordinator and Policy & Impact Officer to help support the successful delivery of our projects through budget management and supporting the production of evidence of impact reports.

This is an integral role within the organisation that brings together key organisational, financial and people skills to enable us to continue to make a meaningful impact for families across Wales.

About this role:

This role is a new position beginning in April 2026, as part of the new Croydon Mental Health Partnership pilot programme (MHP) led by Croydon Voluntary Action. The MHP is part of the Building Brighter Futures (BBF) initiative funded by the Maudsley Charity. Reaching Higher is one of the BBF consortium members.

Main purpose of this role:

The Co-ordinator will provide early, relational, trauma-informed interventions for young people (15–19) presenting with mild–moderate emotional wellbeing, mental health, and social needs.

This role will deliver timely engagement (contact within 72 hours), needs-based assessments, short-term support, and warm handovers into the most appropriate pathway across the BBF consortium, avoiding duplication and repeated storytelling. The role is central to the front-door and allocations model, ensuring young people receive the right support, at the right time, from the right organisation.

This new role is perfect for someone who is looking to grow their skills in partnership working, including building partnerships between statutory services and the voluntary sector, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. You will play a hands-on role in both the development and delivery of an exciting new mental health initiative, in line with Reaching Higher’s contextual safeguarding strategy.

About the Role

Emerging Leaders is seeking freelance Trainers in and around Sheffield / Manchester / Blackpool / Nottingham / Liverpool / Birmingham to deliver “Game Plan”, a transformational four-session training programme designed to equip individuals with the mindset, motivation, and practical skills to flourish—even in the midst of adversity.

This role is ideal for people who are already embedded in community settings and have established relationships with adults (18+) who may feel stuck, overlooked, or limited by circumstance, in particular those on universal credit, experiencing or at risk of homelessness, NEETS, those struggling with confidence and well-being, or experiencing food insecurity.

Our vision is to see the training delivered across the UK. We’re looking for trainers who can run the programme regularly within their local network, area or region, building trust, momentum, and impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Emerging Leaders Trainer, you will:

• Identify and work with local partners to mobilise groups
• Deliver the “Game Plan” course, maintaining the quality, integrity and consistency of training delivery.

Overview

The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for the planning, implementation and management of our various programmes and initiatives aimed at supporting individuals who have spent their childhood in the care system. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Project Co-ordinator will ensure that all aspects of project delivery is carried on time, within scope, and within budget. We are seeking an individual who is a creative thinker and can develop innovative, engaging sessions and opportunities for care leavers. Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the various programmes and initiatives.
• Ensure all project activities are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate the delivery of activity with the relevant delivery partners to ensure services are provided on time and appropriately meet the needs of care leavers.

2. Communication and Stakeholder Management

• Foster strong relationships with delivery partners, customers, statutory services, and commissioners.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
• Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, ensuring communication is clear and action points are followed up.
• Prepare and send out project-related communications, updates, and reports to stakeholders.

3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Adhere to agreed project outcomes and activity-based targets.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, risk logs, and other relevant documents.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, identifying any potential overruns or issues.
• Collect and analyse data/feedback on programme outcomes and evaluate the success of projects upon completion, ensuring outcomes align with the charity’s mission and strategic goals.
• Prepare and present reports on the effectiveness and impact of the programmes/initiatives to commissioners/stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation of funding applications, reports, and other documentation for funders.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance project delivery in the future.

4. Budget Monitoring and Reporting

• Liaise with the finance team who will prepare regular financial reports for commissioners.
• Identify and address any financial risks or discrepancies and raise them with the finance team.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.

6. Additional Duties

• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other events as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the various programmes and initiatives.
• Work in line with the charities ‘Vision and Values’.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

• Proven experience of working within the charity or statutory sector (paid or voluntary), with clear evidence of making a positive and measurable difference.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work.
• Ability to analyse data and understand funder requirements and reporting.
• Budget monitoring skills.
• Ability to identify problems early and develop practical solutions.
• Proficiency in using project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

We are seeking a Family Service Manager to lead our flagship family service based in HMP Altcourse. This is an ideal opportunity if you are seeking a hands-on role within a prison setting, who is confident in working in complex environments and wants to create meaningful change within punitive systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary team who deliver high-quality, therapeutically informed, arts-based work with men in prison and their families. You will bring together creative group interventions, bespoke family counselling services, and day-to-day practical family support within a complex prison environment. 

As the Family Service Manager, you will lead a team of Programme Co-Ordinator's, Facilitators, Family Counsellors, a Deputy Service Manager, and other appropriate staff. The team deliver programmes such as Fathers Inside and Man Up which have received national recognition and have been delivered nationally across custodial and community settings. The role requires leadership experience, managing a diverse team, with line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to the participants of our programmes and their families. You will work closely with prison and Sodexo colleagues, as well as other internal SIG teams to ensure innovative, safe, and compassionate service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Line Management throughout the employee lifecycle embedding a culture of learning, development, reflection, and evaluation.
• Creative leadership of creating and delivering engaging high-quality services and interventions which support rehabilitation, reintegration, and culture shifts in systems of power and compliance.

• Ability to promote the service externally to enhance reputation in the area and with partner organisations

Zoe’s Place is seeking a Head of Fundraising to lead our team of fantastic fundraisers at the Middlesbrough Hospice. This position presents an excellent opportunity to join the Charity during a pivotal period in its development.

Zoe’s Place is unique, we are the only baby specific Hospices in the U.K., with hospices located in Middlesbrough and Coventry and strive to promote and maintain our commitment to the local communities in each area.

We’re incredibly proud of our hospices. We provide palliative, respite and end of life care to children aged 0 – 5 years old with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.  With our team of specialist nurses offering 24-7 care and support, we’ve created a safe, caring and fun place, where parents know that their child will receive the best care possible - a home away from home.

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the fundraising team, supporting income generation to successfully meet annual objectives. The individual in this role will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all fundraising initiatives at our Middlesbrough Hospice.  

The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate confidence, compassion, ambition, and strong organisational skills, along with the capacity for creative and strategic thinking. They should possess a genuine passion for their work, excel in independent tasks with minimal supervision, and have the ability to influence, motivate, and persuade others effectively.

Due to the nature of the position the post holder may need to work unsocial hours to meet the needs of the role.

Reaching Families was established in 2008 to empower, inform and support parent-carers and families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in West Sussex.  We achieve this through the delivery of a range of services including information, training and peer support.

Our ND Navigation Service provides information, training and support to parent-carers of children and young people waiting on, undergoing or completed an assessment for ADHD, Autism and other neurodivergent conditions. 

We are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Administration & Data Management Officer to join our Team. The post holder will be responsible for providing a range of administrative duties in support of our ND Navigation Service and Outreach team, including processing referrals, creating and maintaining records on our Charitylog database, collating data and generating monitoring reports as well as managing enquiries from parents.

Job Description & Person Specification

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Processing referrals received into the NDP Navigation service

2. Creating and updating service user records on Charitylog and Excel including data entry and uploading documents, etc.

3. Weekly collating of data from Charitylog and generating monthly monitoring reports on Excel to provide senior managers, partners and funders

4. Arranging community outreach events (ND Navigation Roadshow) with local partners including CDC’s, Family Hubs, special schools, short break providers, parent support groups, etc.

5. Managing enquiries from parent-carers and professionals working with parents

6. Managing bookings in the event of staff sickness or absence – for the NDP Navigation service

7. Carrying out regular telephone surveys with parent-carers who have accessed the NDP Navigation service, maintaining monitoring records and testimonials and updating log sheets

8. Monitoring posts on Reaching Families Facebook group and where relevant, follow up with signposting to appropriate Reaching Families Services and other relevant providers

9. Providing other administrative support to the Outreach and Training Manager, Team Lead, Co-ordinators and ND Support Workers in executing their duties

10. To pursue a strategy of continual personal and professional development

11. To carry out other occasional duties commensurate with the role

About the role:

As the Development and Fundraising Co-ordinator, you will support statutory and non-statutory funding across Advance’s services, with oversight by the Development Manager and support from the Bid Officer. You will also provide assistance to the Head of Fundraising.

The role will support a high standard of bids are created, showing strong attention to detail, an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines. You will track prospective funding opportunities, submit successful proposals, maintain consistent, regular communication with external stakeholders, and provide administrative support to the department. Key to the success of the post will be the ability to research appropriate funding streams, contribute to bid application content, and keep clear, accurate records.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Conduct prospect research to identify suitable statutory and grant funding opportunities related to Domestic Abuse, Violence Against Women and Girls, Young Women and Girls and Criminal Justice by keeping abreast of research, procurement portals, and sector developments

• Support the execution and delivery of proposals, including completing technical documents, due diligence, and social value matrices, ensuring that proposals meet agreed specifications and deadlines, as well as Advance’s quality standards

• Assist the respective managers to review bid application processes, identify gaps, and increase efficiencies 

• Support colleagues to generate standardised, high quality funder reports and communications to funders

• Lead on communication with Advance’s partners and internal teams to keep abreast of developments throughout the bid process 

• Oversee due diligence of funders and delivery partners

• Support the Fundraising and Development team to maintain regular communication with existing and potential funders

• Maintain Advance’s donor database

• Keep up-to-date, accurate records on the progress of funding prospects and proposals

• Take responsibility for reviewing and keep clear, accurate records of agreement documents and contracts, following the team’s processes for filing and version control

About You:

To be successful as the Development and Fundraising Co-ordinator you’ll need the below skills:

• Excellent administrative and organisational skills and ability to plan, prioritise and workload to meet deadlines

• Excellent attention-to-detail and accuracy

• Good interpersonal skills and to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Strong written and verbal skills
