Chefs in Schools is a young, ambitious charity that’s rapidly growing. Our mission is to improve kids’ health, through improving school food & food literacy. We support and train schools and their kitchen teams to serve the best, freshest and tastiest food possible, all with the aim to improve health and wellbeing where needed most.

Through school kitchens, we work to reset a broken food system that damages children’s health and sets them up to fail.

About you and the role

This role will see you creating engaging content and running our social media feeds. This is a highly autonomous role requiring creativity, problem solving and analytical skills.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, varied working environment and be full of creative ideas. You’ll be as happy filming and editing reels, as you are contributing ideas for campaigns . You’ll be confident writing reactive posts for LinkedIn and you’ll have an eye for making designs as beautiful as the food we serve in schools. 

You’ll be good with people - able to work with high profile patrons, to reassure any nervous first time interviewees and capable of a cool head in busy kitchens or at events. You’ll juggle multiple projects and know how to unearth stories that bring our mission to life. A collaborative approach will be at the heart of your approach as you help position Chefs in Schools as an innovative changemaker in education and child health.

Key responsibilities:

• Create exciting, constantly evolving content, including videos, photos, graphics and copy that drives specific actions and conversions that support our cause

• Planning, filming and editing of reels to our house style - including recipe videos, kitchen tips, patron visits to school kitchens and shoulder to shoulder interview style films.

• Plan, pitch and deliver social media campaigns end-to-end, from concept through to launch and beyond — including production coordination, communications planning and stakeholder management

• Support the growth of our patron and ambassador work, proactively identifying opportunities and ensuring prominent placement on a variety of owned and external platforms

• Champion diversity, equality and inclusion in all social media content

• Develop and implement social media content planning aligned to organisational priorities

• Lead regular creative brainstorms to build a bank of content ideas and champion creative innovation

• Lead our conversations on social channels, proactively sharing sector news with organisational commentary to position us as a thought leader in key online debates. You’ll also build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant networks, schools, chefs, partners and influencers

• Keep across trends and industry best practice to ensure our feeds stay fresh and relevant. Make data-driven decisions about where we invest our time 

• Oversee photography and video shoots when we use external agencies 

Essential skills & experience:

• At least two years of demonstrable experience creating content and managing social media feeds 

• Proven ability to plan and deliver content end-to-end with minimal oversight

• Strong creative skills - video, editing, sound edits, design, writing and interviewing

• Strategic thinker who links social media activity to organisational goals

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

• Confident working autonomously and making independent judgements

• Experience using analytics

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based within a non-residential service in Wembley, working within communities, homes, and other residentials. This service does have step free access however we are unable to guarantee this at some of the other locations where the role is based such as homes and community based locations.

Salary: £31,700

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota working 09:00 - 17:00, hours may be extended 08:00 - 18:00. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service/participant requirements. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Wembley. You will support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery, being a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled, and empowered within their roles. In this role you will be based within a service which is at the heart of delivering person-centred support to vulnerable adults who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. This is a floating support service based in the heart of Wembley, near the Civic Centre. With a team who are dedicated to supporting our participants within their homes, communities, and in outreach based support.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed

About You

We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to help lead our service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, particularly around homelessness and complex needs, able to support the team in delivering their daily duties. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!

• Understanding of homelessness and complex needs of people from different backgrounds
• Ability to provide high quality support and line management to staff.
• Ability to support the Service Manager and help manage staff with daily tasks, caseloads and overall day to day running of the service.
• Ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve KPI's
• Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to the team on all aspects of service delivery including resident related queries

We are looking for an experienced money advice caseworker to join our friendly and hard-working team to deliver a high-quality debt advice service for local people in Southwark.

The More than Advice/Equitable Debt Advice Project is an innovative new multi-year project funded by Impact on Urban Health.

This role will provide in-depth debt advice casework and wrap around support for vulnerable local people, with the aim that it will lead to better and more sustainable outcomes. The intensive nature of the casework support provided will be reflected in the targets.

The project aims to target predominantly black and minority ethnic people who are in debt through developing partnerships with local groups and community organisations who serve these communities in Southwark.

You will have:

• Recent and ongoing paid or voluntary experience of managing your own caseload of money advice and income maximisation cases.
• Ability to write detailed up to date case notes, letters and reports as required in plain English.
• Ability to manage a challenging caseload, meet targets and prioritise work in the face of competing demands on your time.
• Ability to respond sensitively to clients from a variety of backgrounds who are under pressure and negotiate with third parties in order to minimise conflict.

The Wigan Crisis Space forms part of the Greater Manchester VCSE crisis pathway, we are non- clinical alternative to A&E. The focus of our work is to offer timely support to adults who are experiencing mental and emotional distress and suicide ideation. The Crisis Space is an out of hours service that creates a safe space for adults to access timely compassionate support from trained recovery workers.

The Service Manager will have responsibility to line manage two Team Leaders, and overall leadership for the staff team working within the service. We are looking for a values driven leader who can work closely with the Operational Manager to support and develop the service to increase our reach to adults who are experiencing a MH crisis.

Main Responsibilities:

· working within the Wigan Crisis Space to provide leadership and management to the staff team to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective and appropriate service to adults living within the Borough of Wigan

· ensuring that the service is integrated, comprehensive and makes a difference to people using it, with clear focus on improving mental and emotional health and wellbeing and social outcomes meaning that people will be healthier, safer, happier, more resilient, more independent and better able to enjoy life opportunities.

· Facilitating opportunities for staff, volunteers and people who use the service to contribute to the ongoing development of the Crisis Space by sharing learning, listening and sharing and responding to feedback and by using the feedback from this to create and implement a continuous development plan

You’ll work to equip churches to live out the third and fourth Marks of Mission—responding to human need and transforming unjust structures—enabling local Christian communities to show God’s love in action.

About the Role

Reporting to the Lead Community Engagement and Social Action (CESA) Adviser, you’ll play a key part in helping churches understand their local contexts and develop impactful responses to social needs. You’ll support parishes in accessing data, funding opportunities, and partnerships, help grow volunteer-led community initiatives across the Diocese, and collaborate with multiple workstreams, contributing to the wider strategic aims of our programme.

Your key responsibilities will include;

· Planning and supporting the delivery of diocesan community engagement and social action initiatives

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

· A disciple of Jesus with a deep commitment to faith in action and social justice

· Passionate about faith in action and addressing the 3rd and 4th Marks of Mission

· Experienced in community engagement, social action or the voluntary sector through working in the charity, local authority or public sector

· Has experience of organising and leaving events and focus groups

Job Description

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Birmingham Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with established NHS multi-disciplinary teams and services in the community.

This role is hybrid working requiring two to three days per week to be hospital based. Your contractual base will be both Home and Hospital.

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• A recognised Social Worker qualification and current registration with Social Work England/ Scottish Social Services Council/Social Care Wales/Northern Ireland Social Care Council
• Experience working with children, young people and their families/carers in a social care setting.
• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally in an NHS setting.
• Sound knowledge of child and young people development.
• An understanding of the impact of serious illness for children, young people and their families.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

OASIS PARENT AND CARER SUPPORT WORKER

HOURS: Full time, 40 hours per week (flexible hours), inclusive of breaks

Unsocial Working: Regular evening work will be expected, with occasional weekend hours.

In April 2021 we launched the GM Navigators project to support young people impacted by youth violence.  In response to feedback from parents and carers, the PACS project was set up in 2023 to assist Parents and Carers identifying their child as ‘at risk’. Since this the service has gone from strength to strength with Parents and Carers engaging from all 10 GM boroughs.  We have securing funding to continue this project until 2027 with potential for further extensions.

Oasis is recruiting a PAC Support Worker to be part of the PAC Project.   

As a PAC Support Worker you will;

· Support parent and carers that identify their child is “at risk” offering them advice and guidance, practical support and linking them in with services/groups that will provide them with a sustainable support network.

· Help parents and carers to develop projects to raise awareness of the issues they are facing, offering peer support and influence policy and system change. 

· Be trained in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) and other parenting approaches to support parents and carers to respond to their children’s needs, de-escalate situations and maintain good relationships within their home.

· Delivering our ‘Encounter’ Parenting Training (based on the principles of NVR) online and in-person to groups of parents and host online and in-person support groups for parents and carers.

· Be integral to the shaping and development of the PAC project utilizing the feedback of those you are working with to ensure the project is impactful and meeting parent’s and carers needs as a priority.

• Empower Parents and Carers that want to set up groups or run campaigns to raise awareness of issues they are facing.  Managing resources to support them to turn their ambitions into reality.

Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:

· A demonstratable relevant experience OR qualification in Youth & Community (JNC) or Social Work (QSW) or SEND

Well House is a crisis house supported accommodation service that supports individuals for between 14 and 21 days as an alternative to requiring hospital admission for their mental health needs. The service works closely in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team in order to meet individual needs, manage risk and support individuals to achieve positive outcomes.

The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure members of the local community are able to access critical mental health support at all hours. The service receives referrals primarily from a local hospital emergency department and crisis lines and may receive these referrals at any time of day or night.
