About the Role

Our Complex Needs Accommodation provides supported accommodation, bespoke person-centred care and support as well as intensive housing management services in the community for adults with specific accommodation and well-being support needs. You will ensure the smooth running of the service by conducting welfare checks, supporting residents, and handling any issues that arise. 

Some key responsibilities include: 

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service

Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based within a non-residential service in Wembley, working within communities, homes, and other residentials. This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Wembley. You will support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery, being a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled, and empowered within their roles. In this role you will be based within a service which is at the heart of delivering person-centred support to vulnerable adults who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. This is a floating support service based in the heart of Wembley, near the Civic Centre. • Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service

We're hiring a Housing Support Worker to join our team based in Brent. In this role, you will support participants who have been or are at risk of homelessness, experienced social exclusion, mental health challenges, substance use challenges, learning disabilities and/or may have previous convictions. You will support participants on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence within a compassionate and trauma informed environment. 

In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering high quality, person centered support through tailored support plans which provide practical interventions, to empower our participants to overcome personal challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You will also work closely in partnership with various organisations to support the different needs of our participants, which may include signposting. Join us on the journey to empowering people to be the best versions of themselves! 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with their housing and long-term living
• Co-create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
• Support residents to build skills and confidence to build confidence to move towards independent living
• Signpost participants with local providers to support with their independence such as with Job Centres, employment support hubs, community support centres, mental health trusts and other as relevant.
• Lone working is part of the role, but you’ll always have a supportive team around
• Recognise support needs in an individual and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent further deterioration. 
• Complete safeguarding and other referrals where required.
• Keep support plans updated on our online portals as appropriate

Citizens Advice Southwark provides outreach advice service in hospitals across South East London as well as from our main offices in Peckham and Walworth. Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid have for over 45 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse? 

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.

Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have staff offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.

Key Responsibilities - 

To work as part of a team to provide emotional and practical support to women and children affected by violence and abuse through our Early Intervention hub and helpline service.

Of offering advice and information and advocating for service users on a range of issues including homelessness, benefits, legal, social welfare issues etc

NWLLC is a community-based legal practice and a registered charity. We comprise the Brent Community Law Centre and Camden Community Law Centre.

NWLLC now works across northwest London supporting residents to understand and enforce their legal rights.  In doing so, we address the root causes of social injustice – poverty, family breakdown, unemployment and exploitation.

NWLLC provides full legal casework, representation and advice in the following areas of social welfare law – Housing, Immigration & Asylum and Welfare Rights. In 2024-25 we assisted over 3500 people. We represent clients in all courts and tribunals.

We provide outreach advice services in Brent and Camden including Camden Safety Net.

We also provide the housing duty solicitor schemes at Central London Country Court giving emergency representation in possession hearings for rent and owned homes and at the warrant stage for evictions.

To oversee and manage all financial and accounts record keeping and maintain all operations and compliance to ensure the smooth running of a legal practice.

Key Tasks

 Finance

1. Maintain our Quickbooks accounts system/ Clio Case Management System

2. Process payment requests, staff and volunteers expenses and invoices

3. Identify and follow up debtors

4. Monthly reconciliation and bookkeeping of all cards and accounts 

5. Assist with preparation of monthly management, year-end accounts and audit process

6. Work with the Director for the takeover of the calculation and reporting of the taxes owed by the law centre

7. Work with the Director to take over the administration of the NWLLC payroll and pension

8. Responsible for liaison with external accountants and auditors

Legal Practice and Billing

1. Preparing information and submitting for all monthly reports to the Legal Aid Agency, including CWA (Legal Help) and Court Duty submissions

2. Work with the Director to take over the preparation of work in progress reports

3. Work with the Director to prepare and disseminate monthly billing reports

4. Work with the Supervising solicitor and the SMT to identify cases to push through the billing process.
