Cambridge Muslim College is now focused on strengthening its long-term fundraising strategy and sustainability. The College has an established and diverse fundraising programme encompassing major donors, regular giving, campaigns and corporate partnerships, with significant opportunities to deepen existing donor relationships and develop new sources of support. This includes growing major giving beyond the annual Ramadan period, further developing the College’s Friends and Patrons programme, and building new corporate and international partnerships.

The Development Manager (Fundraising & Engagement) will play a pivotal role in this next phase, combining hands-on income generation with strategic leadership of fundraising and engagement. Working closely with the Registrar, senior leadership and Trustees, you will shape and deliver a more structured and sustainable approach to philanthropy while leading a small Development team encompassing fundraising operations and communications. This is a broad, relationship-led role with significant scope to strengthen systems, develop new opportunities and build long-term relationships with the donors and communities who support the College.

As Development Manager (Fundraising & Engagement), you will:

• Develop and deliver the College’s fundraising and donor engagement strategy
• Build and manage strong relationships with major donors and prospects
• Identify, cultivate and secure new funding opportunities across a diverse funding base
• Lead fundraising campaigns and develop compelling cases for support
• Develop major donor fundraising, including new business and opportunities to grow support beyond Ramadan
• Strengthen regular giving and donor engagement through the College’s Friends and Patrons programme
• Develop corporate partnerships and explore opportunities to grow international giving
• Strengthen fundraising systems, pipeline management, stewardship and reporting
• Oversee communications and digital engagement, ensuring activity supports fundraising and engagement objectives
• Line manage and support the Development Coordinator and Communications Coordinator

Essential skills and experience:

• Multi-income stream fundraising experience, which must include major donors plus either corporate fundraising or regular giving/membership schemes
• A track record of securing significant five-figure or six-figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with credibility engaging donors, partners and senior stakeholders
• Experience developing compelling cases for support and effective stewardship strategies
• Demonstrable experience of engaging with Muslim communities and an understanding of faith-based giving practices, including Zakat and Sadaqah
• The ability to build trusted relationships with donors and stakeholders within Muslim communities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience overseeing public-facing communications and digital channels
• The ability to provide effective leadership and direction to a small team
• Willingness and ability to undertake occasional international travel

Desirable:

• Corporate or alumni fundraising experience
• Experience of fundraising campaigns and appeals

As Head of Initial Training, you will lead a committed training team and play a key role in ensuring that our formation, teaching and equipping enable Evangelists and Pioneers to thrive in a rapidly changing church and mission context. The number of days spent on campus and/or visiting schools will vary during the year, with fewer days typically required during school holidays and more during key periods of term-time delivery. As Associate Head of Partnerships, you will lead partnership activity across the region, helping us recruit schools and trusts to the full range of our core programmes, including Initial Teacher Education, the Early Career Framework and National Professional Qualifications. You will nurture and deepen relationships with existing partners, including schools, trusts and our network of Associate Colleges, while also identifying and developing new partnerships that respond to regional need.

You will also help maximise the regional potential of NIoT’s national programmes, our growing research activity and the future opportunities created as we move towards full Degree Awarding Powers. This includes championing the value of working with the NIoT, listening carefully to the needs of schools and trusts, and ensuring that our partnerships are purposeful, responsive and rooted in shared ambition for the education system. The role will line manage our Regional Recruitment Manager and ITE Administrator, both based at the Bristol campus. ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

Our Recruitment Team works closely with experienced professionals, helping them navigate a life-changing move into teaching and feel part of the Now Teach community from day one. 

As Recruitment Co-Ordinator will play a critical role in providing strong administrative support to the Recruitment Team in helping experienced professionals successfully transition into teaching, building high-quality pipelines of career changers who can make a lasting impact in schools and on pupils’ outcomes. 

In this role, success means providing an exceptional Now Teach experience ensuring all candidates are contacted within 48 hours, pre-screened accurately, consultations scheduled within desired timeframes, that accurate CRM data is maintained and that candidates feel supported and engaged throughout the early stages of our recruitment process. 

The role is highly candidate-facing and predominantly phone based, with much of your work time spent speaking directly with candidates to build relationships, provide advice, answer questions and ensure they receive a responsive, supportive experience from their first interaction with Now Teach. 

In this role you will:  

Candidate Recruitment and Pipeline Management 

• Own and deliver initial contact converting candidates from Expression of Interest to Consultation, delivering expert advice, guidance and successfully exciting candidates with our offer to continue their career change with Now Teach. 

• Identify and progress high-potential Network candidates positioning Now Teach as a core part of their career-change journey into teaching.

Candidate Experience and Engagement

This role will provide cross team support to both the School Partnerships and the Teaching and Learning functions of the charity.
