Looking for a flexible role where you can inspire the next generation while developing your experience in education, youth engagement and outreach?

EDT is seeking enthusiastic STEM Programme Workers to deliver hands-on STEM experiences for young people across Scotland. As a STEM Programme Worker, you will help students build confidence, develop future skills and discover exciting career pathways.

This isn't a traditional classroom role.

One day you could be facilitating hands-on engineering challenges, the next supporting young people on an immersive residential programme, helping them discover future career pathways and build confidence in their abilities.

You'll play a vital role in creating memorable experiences that change how young people see themselves and their futures. Every programme you support helps students develop skills, confidence and aspirations that can last a lifetime.

  • Deliver engaging STEM workshops, challenges and educational activities
  • Lead and support groups of young people in safe, inclusive learning environments
  • Provide safeguarding and pastoral support throughout programmes
  • Motivate students to participate, collaborate and build confidence
  • Work with schools, industry partners, volunteers and EDT colleagues
  • Support programme logistics, attendance monitoring and participant feedback

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people, education, community projects or STEM outreach
  • Confident communication and presentation skills
  • Positive, organised and adaptable approach
  • Passion for helping young people achieve their potential
  • Ability to travel and support occasional residential programmes
