What you'll be doing

As a Crisis Support Worker, you will be a key part of helping people overcome some of the most difficult challenges in their lives. Working directly with adults experiencing a range of complex issues, you will provide practical support, advocacy and guidance, helping them move from crisis towards greater stability and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing compassionate support, advice and advocacy to individuals experiencing crisis situations.
  • Helping people navigate challenges such as homelessness, housing difficulties, debt, benefit issues and digital exclusion.
  • Liaising with local authorities, housing providers and other statutory organisations through phone, email and direct advocacy.
  • Connecting individuals with appropriate services both within Oasis and across the wider community.
  • Building trusting relationships and helping people identify practical solutions to immediate and longer-term challenges.
  • Responding calmly and professionally to difficult or sensitive situations, offering reassurance and support.
  • Creating a safe, welcoming and respectful environment where everyone is treated with dignity.
  • Living out and modelling the values of Oasis in every interaction.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting the wider team when needed.
