Job description

The Roses Theatre is at the heart of its community: an independent arts charity bringing people together through live performance, film, participation and creative experiences. We want to deepen that impact, reach more people and build a more resilient organisation for the future. Philanthropic and corporate support will be an important part of making those ambitions possible.

We’re looking for an Individual & Corporate Giving Manager to help us grow income from individuals, members, donors and businesses.

This is a key income-generation role within The Roses, working closely with our Head of Marketing & Development. You’ll combine excellent relationship-building with a practical, target-driven approach to finding new supporters and making sure the people and businesses who already support us feel valued and engaged.

You don’t necessarily need to come from an arts organisation, but you’ll need to understand what makes people want to support a cause, be comfortable developing relationships, and have the confidence to turn those relationships into sustainable income.

What you’ll be doing:

As our Individual & Corporate Giving Manager, you will:

  • Grow individual giving and membership, recruiting new supporters while improving retention, renewals and the long-term value of existing relationships.
  • Steward our members and donors, creating engaging supporter journeys and ensuring people understand the difference their support makes.
  • Develop corporate partnerships and sponsorship, researching prospects, building relationships and creating compelling, tailored proposals.
  • Create fundraising appeals and cases for support linked to The Roses’ artistic, community and organisational ambitions.
  • Use data and insight to drive growth, maintaining accurate supporter pipelines and using Spektrix to monitor income, membership, retention, renewals and lifetime value.
  • Work across The Roses to champion fundraising, collaborating with marketing, colleagues and trustees to identify opportunities, recognise supporters and strengthen relationships.

You’ll be a proactive and persuasive communicator who enjoys building relationships and spotting opportunities. Experience of individual giving, membership or donor stewardship is particularly important; corporate fundraising, sponsorship or business development experience would be an advantage.

As Individual & Corporate Giving Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make the role your own and play a direct part in strengthening the future of an ambitious arts charity with deep roots in its community.

For the full responsibilities, experience requirements and person specification, please see the Job Description.

What we offer

  • Flexible and hybrid working
  • A supportive and collaborative team
  • The chance to play a key role in shaping the future of The Roses
