You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.

We are seeking to appoint our first Associate Director of Development to deliver the next step change in the University's philanthropic income. Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and responsible for a high-performing fundraising team, the postholder will focus on translating strategy into delivery and results, focussing on the solicitation of major and principal donations.

What you'll lead and deliver

• Significantly increase the number of six-figure level and above donations to the University from high-net-worth individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporations.
• Ensure income delivered aligns with the University's strategic priorities, including advancing areas of research excellence.
• Work effectively with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and the academic leadership to identify philanthropic priorities and projects that will resonate with potential donors.
• Effectively lead a successful and respected fundraising team, further strengthening the performance culture and practice of cross-university collaboration.
• Effectively relationship manage your own prospect pool of high-level donors and prospective donors.
• Work effectively as a key member of the Development and Alumni Relations leadership team, and with colleagues across the Directorate of External Relations and wider University.

• Significant experience of the solicitation of six-figure level, or above, donations.

About the role

As Regular Giving Manager, you will play a key role in the continued development and growth of UCL's Regular Giving programme. Working closely with colleagues across Advancement, you will help deliver compelling fundraising appeals and stewardship communications that inspire support from UCL's global alumni and supporter community.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team following the successful relaunch of the Regular Giving programme. The University Access and Digital (UAD) Programmes Assistant will provide core operational support to the UAD team. The role will support programme set-up, student applications, digital content, events, data processes and student communications across Sutton Trust Online, UK Summer Schools, Teacher Champions and other programme activity. The postholder will support the smooth running of core programme processes, maintain accurate records, support clear communication with students and partners, and provide reliable administrative support to the wider team. The role will suit someone who is highly organised, confident working with data and systems and able to work across several programme areas at once.

The role sits in the University Access and Digital team within the wider Programmes team. The postholder will be line managed by the Senior Programmes Manager: University Access and will work closely with colleagues across University Access and Digital.

Main duties
Events and programme delivery

• Assisting in the delivery of online and in person events for students, parents/guardians, and teachers across UAD programmes. This will include organising logistics, providing technical support, tracking attendance, supporting follow up activity and encouraging student engagement.

• Supporting Programme Managers to coordinate logistics and student communications for programmes, activities and events delivered online and in person.

• Supporting UK Summer Schools delivery, including student communications, partner liaison, logistical planning, student data, safeguarding administration and in-person or residential delivery where required.

• Providing cross-programme support where agreed with the line manager and aligned to University Access and Digital priorities.

Student and Stakeholder Communications

• Managing student facing inboxes and responding to routine queries from applicants, programme participants, parents/guardians, and teachers.

• Triaging more complex queries and escalating safeguarding, complaints or welfare related cases in line with internal processes.

• Creating, uploading, updating and quality assuring content on Sutton Trust Online, including checking copy, links, forms and student facing pages.

• Supporting the Communications Team to update and develop content on the Trust’s website, marketing materials and newsletters.

• Liaising with external stakeholders to support logistical and administrative elements of programme delivery.

Applications, administration and data

• Supporting applications to programmes and activities including using central data systems, checking applicant information, preparing student lists, supporting eligibility checks and sharing accurate information with internal and external stakeholders

• Maintaining accurate application, programme, engagement and communications data on Salesforce and other relevant systems.

• Supporting onboarding for new student cohorts including student lists, welcome communications, platform access and follow up with students who have not completed key steps.

• Supporting data quality checks, exports, feedback surveys and routine analysis for programme delivery, reporting and evaluation.

• Assisting in the design and delivery of administrative processes to support high-quality programme delivery throughout the student lifecycle.

• Helping to improve repeatable administrative processes by identifying recurring issues, documenting processes and suggesting practical fixes.

• Providing administrative support for internal and external meetings and training days including travel and room booking, taking minutes and logistics.

Person Specification

Terms of Appointment

• Contract: Full-time, Permanent

• Salary: £30,800-£31,500

• Working location: Minimum of two office days per week. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.

• Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP.

Ashinaga UK is recruiting a Programme Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to support the delivery of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) leadership scholarship programme for African Scholars studying in the UK. As part of a mission-driven global organisation, the coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth programme operations, student support, and administrative excellence throughout the annual Scholar cycle. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about helping young leaders thrive. The coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager to streamline processes, support events, maintain essential systems, and strengthen the overall Scholar experience across the year. 

The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 120,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 11 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Ashinaga UK is proud to be part of this global movement, contributing to the mission of transforming lives and communities through education. Our work is primarily in the UK through collaboration with university partners and donors.  

This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

Programme Coordinator

• Location: Hybrid. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings.
• Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional work on weekends or evenings.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination & Operations 

• Support the end-to-end delivery of Ashinaga UK’s annual programme cycle (including university preparation camps, inductions, monthly calls, workshops, summits, and graduation activities).

• Coordinate event speaker invitations, facilitator briefs, and session materials.

Scholar Support

• Support Scholars as they develop their Ashinaga Proposal social impact projects. 

Data & Systems Management 

• Maintain programme records, databases, and reporting tools (including through our Scholar App, CRM, and internal systems). 
• Support line-manager in monitoring programme KPIs and documenting insights. 

Communication 

• Write articles, Scholar profiles, and programme updates for use on the Ashinaga UK website, newsletters, and external reports. 
• Create multimedia content (photos, short videos, social media material) to showcase Scholar stories and impact

About us

The UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC), based in the Department of Neurodegenerative Disease and led by Professor Nick Fox, is a hub for clinical research into various forms of dementia. Our work focuses on identifying and understanding the disease processes that cause dementia, the factors that influence these disease processes, and how best to support people with dementia and their families. In addition to our research, we also provide a cognitive disorders clinic within the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Rare Dementia Support (RDS) is a UCL-led collaborative service offering specialist social, emotional and practical support services for individuals living with, or affected by, a rare dementia diagnosis. Our vision is for all individuals with, at risk of, or supporting someone with one of these forms of dementia to have access to information, tailored support and guidance, and contact with others affected by similar conditions. RDS is provided by the UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC) at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery - where the post is based - and partners, and funded by The National Brain Appeal.

About the role

You will contribute to the work of the Rare Dementia Support (RDS) direct support team providing advice via support calls and in-person at the new Rare Dementia Support Centre (RDSC) by supporting people living with atypical, inherited, and young onset dementias, their carers, their families, and their friends, and professionals and practitioners working to support them. This role includes the opportunity to shape and direct special projects related to the development of new support groups, professional training, or patient and public involvement/engagement (PPI/E), in line with the activities of RDS and the wider Dementia Research Centre.

The post is available immediately and funded by a donation from The National Brain Appeal until 31 March 2028 in the first instance.

The post is offered part-time at 21.9 hours per week (0.6 Full Time Equivalent). This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 67% of time on site.

About you

You will have an Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant health-related discipline and experience delivering pre-, peri-, and post-diagnostic rare dementia support. Extensive and expert knowledge of atypical, inherited, and young onset dementias, and up to date knowledge of the range of support available to people living with rare dementia and their families, and relevant aspects of the health and social care systems in the UK is essential.

A demonstratable understanding of, and ability to, manage the needs of patients with degenerative conditions, including the use of specific support skills and strategies as appropriate is also a requirement. You will also have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate highly sensitive information to cognitively impaired and/or psychologically vulnerable people and their carers, who may have significant barriers to understanding or acceptance.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional individual fundraiser to join the Philanthropy team at King’s College London, leading on fundraising for The Dickson Poon School of Law.

This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, securing and stewarding significant philanthropic gifts at the £50k to £5 million gift level, supporting senior stakeholders with their fundraising efforts, and championing the work and priorities of King’s and the Dickson Poon School of Law.

The team will play a crucial role in the delivery of the University’s ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for faculties, as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029.

We will build on our already successful fundraising to achieve ambitious new goals for philanthropy – creating strong partnerships across campus and with donors, to realise shared priorities and deliver strategic impact.

The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London is one of the oldest law schools in England. The Operations team, and this role, are central to the successful delivery of our Strategic plan that will set out the path to becoming one of the best Students’ Unions in the UK, and more importantly a better students’ union for our staff and students.

The Senior Development Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of alumni, trusts, foundations and friends of the University capable of making gifts at the six and seven figure plus level. Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Advancement Team and the wider university, you will engage prospective donors using your stakeholder development skills to build relationships and secure significant and transformational gift donations in support of philanthropic priorities which are aligned with the University’s Universal Values, Global Change 2020-2030 strategy.

You will also lead a small team of major gift fundraisers, motivating them to maximise the giving value from their own fundraising portfolios. The role sits within a growing Transformational & Major Giving team and is crucial to success at a time of investment and expansion in the Advancement Team. In order to be successful in this role, you will have a sustained track record of raising donations at 6 figures and above, capability to work with senior stakeholders across a complex organisation to craft bespoke fundraising propositions and the ability to lead and motivate a small team of major gift fundraisers.
