OVERVIEW
This role will be a key member of our ambitious team, delivering a growing portfolio of fundraising campaigns, fundraising events, and supporter engagement initiatives. You’ll oversee our supporter journeys, manage our communications channels, and build meaningful relationships that drive income and deepen our impact.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Campaigns & Income Generation
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to plan and deliver our 12-month supporter journey – including fundraising campaigns (online and offline), events and appeals.
- Manage our calendar of challenge events (e.g. The Don’s Cycle Challenge, Wombles Walk, Sponsored Skydive).
- Grow supporter-led community fundraising in the local area.
- Lead outreach to engage new local partners – including small businesses, schools and clubs – promoting fundraising opportunities and supporting their initiatives.
Communications & Marketing
- Alongside the Head of Fundraising, lead all communications for the charity.
- Create engaging fundraising content for email, website, and social media to drive online donations, event and programme sign-ups.
- Work with the wider Foundation team and club comms team to create content for social media, e-newsletters and our website.
- Promote Foundation programmes and campaigns to fans, families, and local supporters, driving participation and donations.
- Create marketing materials (posters, flyers, etc.) to support charitable prorammes and campaigns.
- Collaborate with Senior Managers to share the impact of the Foundation through monitoring and evaluation reports. Including creating the annual organsiation Impact Report.
- Manage the Foundation’s website, ensuring content is regularly updated, fully functioning, and aligned with key campaigns, events, and programmes.
Supporter Engagement & Stewardship
- Manage the supporter engagement programme, delivering a rolling 12-month plan of personalised and meaningful touchpoints.
- Develop and implement strategies to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors.
- Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (particularly low- to mid-level donors) through excellent donor care, timely thanking, and compelling communications.
- Coordinate supporter stories and participant case studies to inspire giving.
- Manage our weekly e-communications, using engaging content to recruit new subscribers and convert them into donors, event participants, or programme attendees.
Supporter Care
- Act as the first point of contact for fundraisers and donors, delivering first-class stewardship and support.
- Ensure timely, warm and effective follow-up with all supporters, helping them feel inspired, valued and connected.
Events & Community Activation
- Support the delivery of fundraising and engagement opportunities at AFC Wimbledon fixtures and stadium events.
- Represent the Foundation at local events, cheque presentations, and community partner visits.
Administration & Data Management
- Maintain accurate supporter and income records in our CRM system, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
- Liaise with the Finance Officer to process donations, including Gift Aid claims and income reconciliation.
- Provide regular fundraising reports and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a relevant higher education or industry recognised certification or have a minimum of at least 1–2 years' experience in a fundraising, communications, supporter engagement or similar role
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with supporters, partners, or donors
- Experience planning and delivering fundraising campaigns, events, or community initiatives
- Experience using digital tools for fundraising and engagement (e.g. mass email platforms, design tools, giving platforms, CRM systems)
- Experience creating digital content (e.g. website management social media, e-newsletters, case studies)
Skills & Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident in working independently, taking initiative, and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing supporter data and income records
- Ability to travel to activity & meetings across London and surrounding areas

Scope of Work
1. Financial Data Entry & Reconciliation

Enter and reconcile day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system, including expenses, transfers, payments, and receipts.

Ensure all entries are accurately coded to the appropriate cost centres, grants, or funding streams.

Review and reconcile staff expense claims, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.
2. Budgeting & Grant Allocations

Support the allocation of expenditure to budget lines across multiple funding sources, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Maintain the habit to monitor actual spend against budgets using existing systems (Netsuite), highlighting any anomalies or risks.

Assist in the preparation of internal budget summaries and financial snapshots for program and leadership teams.
3. Financial Reporting

Assist in compiling donor financial reports by collecting, reviewing, and formatting financial data in line with donor requirements.

Liaise with grants and programme teams to ensure alignment between financial and narrative reports.

Maintain up-to-date and audit-ready documentation to support all reporting outputs.
4. Managing Fiscal Sponsorship Financial Reports

Ensuring that income from fiscal sponsorship partners are accurately recorded

Preparing regular income and expenditure reports for fiscal sponsorship partners and addressing reconciling items.

Represent the Finance team in update meetings with potential or current fiscal partners.
5. Audit & Compliance Support

Organise financial documentation and support sampling processes during internal and external audits.

Maintain orderly and accessible digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.

SCOPE OF WORK
1. Grantmaking Due Diligence & Onboarding

Coordinate the collection, review, and secure storage of due diligence documentation from prospective grantees.

Assist with risk screening checks and internal reviews in alignment with Purposeful’s grantmaking policies.

Prepare grantee onboarding documentation, including grant agreements and orientation materials.

Track submission of required onboarding documents (e.g., bank forms, MoUs, safeguarding policies).

Monitor and keep track of the grants due for payment.

Respond to grantee and applicant inquiries and proactively update them on the status of their grant awards.
2. Grant Compliance & Documentation

Monitor compliance status of all active grants, flagging outstanding requirements and follow-up needs.

Ensure that compliance-related deadlines (e.g. reporting dates, grant conditions) are met and documented.

Maintain clean, well-organised, and accessible digital grant files, using existing tools or systems (e.g., Google Drive, Netsuite, Salesforce, etc.) to ease retrieval and generation of reports.

Support internal checks to ensure that funds are disbursed in line with compliance protocols and funding agreements.
3. Finance Coordination

Liaise with the finance team to prepare and verify payment documents, banking instructions, and payment schedules.

Support alignment between grant budgets and payment disbursements.

Track the movement of funds across grants, ensuring appropriate documentation is in place for each transaction.
4. Donor & Internal Reporting

Assist in preparing compliance-related sections of donor reports and internal grantmaking summaries.

Track reporting obligations by donor or partner, and ensure all documentation is collected and filed on time, including any relevant country-specific compliance requirements.
5. Audit & Policy Support

Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including sampling, document summaries, and data extractions.

Assist in developing and maintaining internal tools (templates, checklists, trackers) related to grant compliance.

Contribute to ongoing improvements in Purposeful’s compliance systems, bringing in lessons learned and audit feedback, and emerging regulatory or legal considerations relevant to our work.

Key Responsibilities
Content & Communications Coordination:

Draft, edit, and coordinate email communications for existing clients, prospects, and event audiences using HubSpot.

Work across Social Media to ensure a regular flow of stories, product updates, and impact content is scheduled and shared.

Ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging across all materials.
Campaign & Product Launch Management:

Produce comprehensive campaign plans to support new product features, service offerings, and strategic initiatives.

Coordinate product launches, working with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Growth, Customer Success) to ensure aligned messaging and smooth rollout.

Schedule and support webinars and in-person opportunities (e.g., industry events, workshops) from a marketing perspective.
Case Studies & Campaign Showcasing:

Support the creation of compelling case studies that highlight our impact and clients' successes.

Help co-ordinate video, photography, and quotes from clients to enrich our marketing assets.

Maintain a live bank of marketing assets (case studies, testimonials, videos, photos) that can be easily used across marketing and sales.
New Business Support:

Work with the Growth team to ensure they have comprehensive communications support, including email nurture sequences, lead generation assets, and campaign summaries.

Help track and update HubSpot data and monitor lead funnels for marketing activities.
Content Asset Management:

Ensure key product and campaign materials (e.g., PDFs, one-pagers, presentation decks) are up to date, accurately reflect current offerings, and are easily accessible to the wider team.

Co-ordinate with designers and video editors where needed, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work.
Reporting & Market Insight:

Support marketing reporting, tracking campaign sends, open/click rates, and basic lead activity via HubSpot.

Track competitor activity, messaging, and new ideas being developed in the sector to inform our strategy.

Help manage marketing activity calendars and provide internal communications updates on marketing initiatives.
Skills & Knowledge:

2–4 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or content coordination role, preferably within a SaaS company or B2B environment.

A confident writer and communicator, able to produce clear, concise, and compelling copy.

Detail-oriented, highly organised, and proactive, with excellent project coordination skills.

Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools like HubSpot or Mailchimp is a definite plus.
Bonus: Experience in the non-profit or tech-for-good sector.

The Foundation is recruiting a dynamic Senior Legal Officer to help expand, strengthen and innovate our TrustLaw programme in the Europe, Middle East and North Africa (EMENA) region. Reporting to the Senior Legal Programme Manager, EMENA, and working closely with the regional Programme Manager and Officer, the Senior Legal Officer will manage legal pro bono projects from TrustLaw’s community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations, and support the team on thought leadership initiatives.
About the Role
As a Senior Legal Officer at Thomson Reuters, you will:

Scoping legal pro bono requests from our community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs for lawyers to advise on.

Managing pro bono requests, including connecting the pro bono client with lawyers, collecting feedback and following up with the parties involved.

Designing, scoping and overseeing cross-border legal research projects, tools, resources and other content that address the most critical social and advocacy needs facing our members.

Proactive supporting of TrustLaw’s regional portfolio of law firms, corporations and other key stakeholders in EMENA to ensure TrustLaw regional quality and growth metrics are met.

Actively pursuing and cultivating relationships with law firms to secure their commitment to pro bono projects, employing persuasive communication strategies to highlight the impactful role they play in advancing social and environmental objectives through TrustLaw initiatives.

Administering the service, for example through inputting into databases, planners, and trackers, running Salesforce reports, ensuring members have up-to-date contact information, inputting into quarterly reports, responding to requests for information, etc. in a timely manner.

Contributing to the TrustLaw global annual strategy, and supporting the implementation of a regional strategy to expand and activate TrustLaw membership, ensuring we serve the best NGOs, social enterprises and independent media organisations, as well as the strongest law firms and corporate in-house legal teams.

Executing a robust communications, engagement and outreach strategy that includes member events and promotion of TrustLaw publications.

Maintaining a high profile in EMENA by attending, supporting and coordinating events for TrustLaw and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, including by speaking publicly on our work at panels, roundtables, panel discussions, workshops, trainings, conferences or other speaking engagements.
About You
You are a fit for the role of Senior Legal Officer if your background includes:

Legal experience (preferably with at least 1 year post qualification experience) working either in a law firm, in-house legal team or non-profit organisation.

A good understanding of the legal and NGO sectors in EMENA (and, in particular, the UK), and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that pro bono opportunities bring to law firms and legal teams;

Experience of project management or co-ordination is highly favourable.

Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

Being ambitious, dynamic, and creative.

Experience in Salesforce would be favourable, experience working with databases essential.

Experience organising events or trainings would be favourable.

This is a full-time role based in London, with a minimum of two days in our office in Canary Wharf. The salary is relative to the local charitable sector and will be commensurate with experience.

Role Summary
As our Bid Writer, you will strategically lead AWN’s fundraising support to grassroots primarily Muslim-led organisations. You will help shape the service and act as the primary advisor on grant funding, deliver high-quality bids, and build AWN’s capacity to increase the flow of resources into underserved communities. This is a chance to directly contribute to lasting social change for underrepresented Muslim communities in the UK.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support bid writing for grassroots organisations aligned with AWN’s priorities.

Write grant applications directly on behalf of multiple small grassroots organisations, ensuring proposals are tailored to each funder's priorities and the unique strengths of each group.

Design and deliver training sessions, webinars, and 1-to-1 support on grant writing.

Build strategic relationships with funders, local councils, and second-tier organisations.

Promote AWN’s funding support services across networks and platforms.

Represent AWN at sector events and advocacy platforms.

Track and evaluate the impact of bid writing support to inform strategy, reporting, and learning. Use feedback from unsuccessful bids to build learning resources and improve future applications.

Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting systems.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) is seeking our next Executive Director to lead our small, dynamic charity. You will be joining an impactful local organisation at a crucial time in our development. Since 2021 we have grown significantly and sustainably, developing new services based on client needs. The team and role overview
The HR & Operations function is led by the HR & Operations Manager and includes two Coordinators and one Operations Officer. Together, the team is responsible for delivering effective people management processes, operational support, and internal systems that enable the organisation to function smoothly across both UK and international offices.
The HR & Operations Coordinator reports to the HR & Operations Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of HR processes, internal policies, and organisational logistics. Main responsibilities
Human Resources

Act as the first point of contact for staff and managers (including secondees and contractors) on day-to-day HR queries, ensuring advice aligns with GHP’s policies, employment law and best practice.

Support the HR & Operations Manager with complex employee relations cases (e.g. disciplinary, grievance or capability), maintaining accurate case records and timelines.

Coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns: preparing job packs, advertising, shortlisting logistics, interview coordination and onboarding administration.

Administer staff learning and development activity, including supporting appraisal-related training needs, tracking participation, and organising internal training sessions.

Maintain accurate, compliant and confidential HR records, including management of absence data, holidays and TOIL via the online HR system.

Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics for the HR & Operations Manager and SMT (e.g. turnover, diversity, absence).

Procure and coordinate delivery of IT equipment and office supplies for new starters in line with budget and procurement processes.

Liaise with the outsourced IT support provider and/or Digital Transformation Team to resolve tech issues, improve systems, and ensure efficient digital onboarding.
