ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Join the Harris Institute, a leading provider of professional development and training through three designated Teaching School Hubs. We deliver high-quality programs that empower schools and academies across London and South Essex to lead educational improvement.

As Apprenticeship Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in managing and supporting our apprenticeship programs. Reporting to the Teaching School Hubs and Apprenticeships Manager, you’ll be the main point of contact for apprentices and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth administration, compliance, and a positive learning experience.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your job responsibilities will include:

Apprentice Lifecycle Management

• Onboarding & Induction: Co-ordinate the smooth induction of all new apprentices, ensuring they receive necessary documentation, program details, and are integrated into their respective teams.
• Administration: Maintain and quality assure all apprentice records, training agreements, and learning plans, in accordance with the apprenticeship funding rules.
• Compliance: Monitor and track apprentice progress against milestones, funding requirements, and End-Point Assessment (EPA) readiness, ensuring all programs comply with DfE, Ofsted, and Awarding Body regulations.
• Off-the-Job Training: Monitor and track the accurate recording of Off-the-Job training hours for all apprentices.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support

• Apprentice Support: Act as the first point of contact for apprentices, offering guidance, support, and signposting to relevant resources regarding their well-being, training, and workplace issues.
• Liaison: Build and maintain effective working relationships with Employers, internal line managers, and mentors to ensure consistent program delivery and feedback.
• Meetings: Ensure that all progress review meetings are being held and attended to, ensuring that outcomes are documented and follow up on agreed actions.

This is an opportunity to join the Individual Giving team, which raises money to support the National Theatre from individuals through tiered levels of membership (£84 - £12,000), appeals, one-off donations and legacies.

The Patrons Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of donors and prospects - identifying, soliciting and stewarding annual gifts from £1,000 and above. They will retain and increase support at these levels through a year-round programme of engagement and excellent relationship management.

The successful candidates will have the following:  

• Previous experience in a fundraising capacity, and a proven track record of securing gifts of £1,000 or more from individuals
• Experience building relationships with supporters
• Experience of event administration and organisation
• Confident, articulate and persuasive both in person and in writing, including experience of writing copy
• Experience of line management and/or management of a project team.
• Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload, meeting deadlines and with attention to detail

Records Manager & Archivist

The duties within this unique role will be shared across the main London offices of the Methodist Church in Britain and United Reformed Church. The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced records and archives management professional, who is confident to work across our different sites and systems. You will be a knowledgeable manager of analogue and digital records and archives.  Some familiarity with Church structures and record keeping would be an advantage.

You will need to be able to advise the staff teams for both Churches on records management strategy and practice and support them in the implementation of electronic records management systems (ERMS). You will also be able to undertake collections management tasks such as appraisal, condition assessments, basic cleaning and re-packaging and cataloguing.

You will need to be able to liaise effectively with the archive services where our collections are deposited, and work with our voluntary heritage committees and archival advisers. You will be encouraged to appoint and manage volunteers to build capacity around this work.

The Methodist Church has records from the early 18th century onwards. Its governance records (estimated at c4m items) are deposited in the John Rylands Research Institute & Library, University of Manchester, and its missionary collections in the SOAS Library, University of London.  Records of the Church at a local level are deposited with local authority archive services.  There are also five ‘community archives’ managed by volunteer editors. 

The United Reformed Church was established in 1972, with its roots in the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches. The search for a new location for the centralised deposit and permanent preservation of URC records is a key objective for this post-holder, along with developing and supporting the management of current administrative records. 

Both organisations maintain offsite record storage and occasional travel to them will be a necessary part of this role.

Role summary

 

The Fundraising Assistant role is a vital role for Edward’s Trust’s Fundraising Team. You will be assisting with all areas of Fundraising from being the first point of call for supporters and volunteers, to support them with fundraising activities, ensuring they are thanked, and communications are personal and timely. You will be involved in planning and assisting with the fundraising activity across the team and will have responsibility for  keeping our database and records up to date and ensuring we are compliant.

Key tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for a friendly and engaging Music Facilitator to lead our weekly music sessions. You will encourage participants to explore a range of instruments, express themselves and enjoy the experience of making music together. Our groups include adults with a wide range of learning disabilities so sessions must be accessible, adaptable and delivered with flexibility and patience.

About the Role

As our Freelance Music Facilitator, you will plan and deliver inclusive sessions that may include:

• exploring different instruments
• rhythm and percussion activities
• creative music making
• group interaction and confidence building
• simple performance or sharing moments

You will also complete required paperwork including Individual Learning Plans, course outlines, schemes of work and track progress across each term.

SENIOR HR ADVISOR – GENERALIST STAND ALONE ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team starting, ideally, from early 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist, transitioning to managing an HR standalone function. This is permanent full-time role based in Old Street – London, with occasional travel to our Bristol office.

You will be involved in the whole employee lifecycle, from when candidates apply for a job to when staff leave the organisation. You will also help provide training and development opportunities for employees, and guidance around issues such as performance, career progression, and managing disciplinary issues where they arise.

You will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to the ongoing development of the HR function at Deighton Pierce Glynn (DPG).  The role supports all aspects of HR, including recruitment & development, diversity & inclusion support, promoting positive employee relations and employee wellbeing, salary and benefits; all aspects of HR administration, and maintaining/upgrading the HR System and HR processes to fully utilise automation where it makes sense.  The role will also involve ensuring relevant HR policies and procedures are understood and followed. • At least 2 years’ experience as HR Advisor or equivalent, in a generalist role.

• IT Skills: Proficiency in typing, computer literacy, and the ability to learn our systems, including Office365. In particular an interest in developing proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be accountable for the sale and purchase ledgers for the various legal entities across the group of charities and companies for which the finance department is responsible.

You will match and code invoices, prepare and run BACS payments, reconciling bank statements and working out VAT payments.  You will provide a professional and efficient service to the finance function, monitoring how much is owed at all times and providing accurate financial information to the Finance Director as needed.

Finance Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

· Checking, coding and posting invoices

· Making payments via online banking.

· Processing financial support requests to charity beneficiaries

· Processing monthly credit card statements.

· Processing staff expenses

· Setting up of new customer and supplier accounts, and maintaining existing account details

· Reconciliation of supplier statements

· Liaising with suppliers and being the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries

· Raising sales invoices as and when required.

· Chasing customers for outstanding invoices and working to resolve queries as and when they arise.

· Monthly bank reconciliations

· Updating crisis and grant analysis schedules.

Technical competencies required and demonstrable in your application:

· Sage knowledge would be advantageous for this role

· Bookkeeping

· Advanced excel skills and working knowledge of other Microsoft applications

· Experience working in a financial environment and able to demonstrate an understanding of accounting issues

· Ability to resolve and reconcile issues with limited supervision by identifying sources of errors, making retrospective corrections, and ensuring that appropriate changes are put in place to prevent reoccurrence

· A clear thinker with a calm manner who is able to provide logical and practical solutions when faced with various challenges.

· Excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to manage your workload independently.

· A positive team player with ‘glass half full’ approach

· Highly numerate with a high degree of accuracy

· Strong attention to detail

We’re delighted to be partnering with a long-established national organisation to recruit a confident, organised and welcoming Office Manager to join their National Head Office on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a people-centred, front-of-house environment and enjoys keeping a workplace running smoothly.
Based in a modern, recently refurbished office, you’ll play a key role in ensuring staff, visitors and contractors receive a professional and friendly experience. With around 15 people on site each day, this is a role where you can truly make an impact and be the trusted face of the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the office, including inspections and coordination of any reactive repairs
• Managing all front-of-house duties: greeting visitors, answering calls, handling post and monitoring shared inboxes
• Maintaining security access systems, key fob administration and supporting emergency procedures
• Ensuring statutory compliance records are accurate, monitored and up to date
• Supporting basic facilities coordination, scheduling and petty cash
• Providing light support with the Estates CMS and the organisation’s new Dynamics 365 system
• Leading the reception rota and supporting a small administrative team to maintain consistent cover

The SLA supports approximately 2000 members with advice, training and advocacy across the UK. The Training and Events Manager will form an essential part of the SLA team working to run a high quality, inspiring and engaging events and training to help us deliver on our mission to support members, so that more children and young people reach their full potential through the school library. You will lead on the organisation of our annual conference; develop and maintain a calendar of events and training for members and non-member audiences; and support the team with all event related administration and logistics.  Events at the SLA include member meet ups (in person and online), events in our branch network across 23 regions, professional development and training, and our SLA Awards ceremonies.

Your work will be at the forefront of our member offer, helping to build links with membership, support members, build relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors, delivering high-quality training and impactful events offer across the year. An agile and flexible thinker, you will be creative, with a flair for spotting opportunities for professional development, and have a keen eye for detail with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Using your project management experience, you will work with the CEO, SLA team colleagues and subject matter experts and facilitators to develop and deliver a high quality and competitive calendar of events and training.
