About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Financial Education Programme Manager & Workshop Facilitator to join our Children and Young People team and play a leading role in delivering one of our exciting new financial education partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to join The Money Charity at a time of growth and help shape a brand-new programme that will reach thousands of primary-aged children across the UK. Working in partnership with one of the UK's leading financial services organisations, you'll have the opportunity to influence how the programme develops, helping to create an engaging and impactful experience for both schools and corporate volunteers.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves working with children. At the heart of the role is delivering engaging, inspiring and interactive financial education workshops to primary-aged pupils. You'll spend a significant proportion of your time visiting schools across London, Bristol and the M4 corridor, bringing money topics to life through energetic, memorable sessions that help children build the confidence, knowledge and skills to make informed financial decisions.
Alongside workshop delivery, you'll manage this exciting new volunteer programme delivered in partnership with a major financial services organisation. Working closely with our corporate partner and volunteer network, you'll ensure volunteers are recruited, trained, supported and deployed effectively to maximise both educational impact and volunteer experience. These volunteers will assist you with the delivery of your workshops.
You'll also play a key role in growing the reach of the programme by promoting the workshops to schools and community organisations, building relationships and managing the booking process from initial enquiry through to delivery.
This role has been designed to offer flexibility and would particularly suit an experienced teacher or facilitator looking for either a 28-hour working week or a term-time-only position.

This is where our Information and Advice Advisers play a vital role in raising awareness and empowering older people to access the support they need, and to understand their statutory rights.

The successful post holder will have excellent communications skills with the ability to provide accurate, often complex information in a clear and empathic way, offering advice over the phone and by email.
In this role you will receive several weeks of extensive specialist training based on the current legislation relevant to older people's rights and welfare, enabling you to offer an in-depth advice service to phone and email enquirers from across England. You will help them to understand and implement their legislative rights in areas such as community care, housing, income and benefits and many other issues related to later life.
This role offers hybrid working between home and our offices in either Blackpool or Ashburton (a robust home broadband connection is essential). This means you would be expected to attend office a minimum of once every 3 months, although this can be more if you prefer. You may be asked to attend office more regularly than these minimum requirements. You will need to live within an easily commutable distance of the office either by car or public transport, we suggest up to 1hr 30mins commute.
This role is a 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Our small team of team & volunteers are involved in organising and delivering tasks which facilitate a speedy hospital discharge and make homes safer to avoid admission – including fitting keysafes, moving furniture, shopping, giving advice and coordinating with health & social teams.
This busy role will include:
- Liaise with referrers, clients, their families and carers to identify the support required upon hospital discharge.
- Developing a holistic plan of support working with others and be able to personally deliver aspects of this support including practical tasks. This could include but is not limited to information & advice, moving furniture, preparing the home for discharge, shopping and organising transport. This will involve working directly in the homes of clients.
- Recording all referrals, actions, progress and data via a CRM / database.

About the role
You’ll provide full professional business support to our External Relations directorate. You’ll ensure high quality administration across a broad range of tasks and liaise with various stakeholders across the charity.

What you’ll do:

Job Profile
This role will lead CAFOD’s policy and advocacy work aimed at building a fairer global financial system. The post holder will have a solid understanding of contemporary global economic issues, including the global debt crisis, development finance and the workings of international multilateral organisations. Working closely with CAFOD’s overseas partners and within UK and global networks, this role will hold policy expertise on behalf of the organisation. This will involve developing policy positions and representing the organisation externally. This role works with colleagues across the organisation, including our senior management team - but also in partnership with external organisations and agencies - with targets set for engagement (and other indicators of the success of our campaigns). We're working on multiple campaigns simultaneously; whether that's Carers Week, campaigns to influence changes to the law to better support carers, encouraging unpaid carers to join us as members, updating on activities in the devolved nations or getting people to fundraise for Carers UK. And we use a mix of owned, earned and paid communications to drive engagement in a challenging and crowded environment in order to get our messages to cut through. It's a busy, but varied role, in a supportive and collaborative team.
About you
Working within the communications and marketing team, you'll be confident in managing our social media accounts (we have many), ensuring we're using platforms to get our messages out to both wide and targeted audiences with engaging and timely content.
You'll be happy using tools for social listening, interacting with our audiences and building our reach. You'll be familiar with key metrics for social engagement and will be reporting back to colleagues and other stakeholders - and using this data to constantly improve our communications.
You'll be skilled in writing longer form content for our members' magazine, Caring, proof reading articles, posting content on our websites, creating graphics and making sure our content is engaging, audience focused and dynamic. Oh, and you probably know your way around an emoji set and are not scared of a well timed pun. Plus you'll have a great eye for detail and be confident in your ability to prioritise (and sometimes reprioritise) your workload as needed.
We're a small but effective communications team and pride ourselves on getting stuck in and supporting each other when we need to deliver big on fast moving projects, so you'll need be able to juggle lots of demands while recognising the importance of always hitting deadlines.
