Job summary

1. To implement and develop The Princess Alexandra Hospitals’ Charity fundraising strategy to maximise charitable funds that will enhance the care for The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust’s patients and people.

2. To develop and fund a charity team and lead on fundraising goals.

3. To develop relationships with, and secure financial support from, key high-value prospects, including corporate partners.

4. To establish, build and maintain strong relationships with networks and partnerships in order to maximise fundraising activity.

5. To manage and support all trust charitable fundraising activities including reporting developments and progress to the charitable funds committee.

The Head of Programmes, forming part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and reporting directly to the CEO, is a critical role holding overall responsibility and management of Youth Realities’ programme delivery and development. 

Youth Realities currently runs four core programmes, underpinning our three outlined priority pillars: prevention, intervention and healing.

• Deepin Relationships - healthy relationships education in communities and schools 
• Young Women's IDVA Support - specialist, long term support for young survivors of abuse and violence in their close relationships 
• Deepin Dance - a weekly dance space for young women aged 16-25 who have survived relationship violence 
• Wellbeing Activities - regular community-based wellbeing workshops, trips and creative days for young people aged 11-25

The charity currently engages over 100 young people each year in intervention and healing activities, with an additional target of 1500 young people per year to be engaged in the Deepin Relationships programme through funding awarded from May 2024 - May 2026. 

The primary role of the Head of Programmes is to oversee the delivery, development and evaluation of all programmes, which will include direct line management of all delivery staff (currently seven).

Youth Realities is currently going through an exciting transitional period, as the current Founder and CEO is leaving the charity in August 2024 and a new CEO will be joining our excellent team. With both SLT members being new to the charity, this is a brilliant opportunity to bring fresh perspectives, energy and passion to Youth Realities, taking guidance from the knowledge and experience of the serving staff team. 

It will be critical that the first few months of this role are spent learning, exploring, listening to and working closely with staff and young people supported. As the Head of Marketing & Development, you will be responsible for bringing the brand of The Postal Museum to life in new and innovative ways to reach ambitious admission and visitor targets -  across all marketing channels, press and media, and in all communications to engage their varied audiences. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving individual giving and developing corporate support for the museum.This is a strategic leadership role, in which you will be sitting on The Postal Museum’s Executive Management team. You will be responsible for achieving the organisation’s admissions income and visitor number targets and building its profile externally. This role oversees all marketing, PR, digital, internal communication, branding activity and fundraising efforts focussed on individuals and Corporates undertaken across the organisation. This is an exciting time to join the museum, as it begins to plan for two important anniversaries in 2027, 10 years since the museum opened and 100 years since Mail Rail first began operation.

Marketing of the museum is at the heart of the job, and good experience is needed for that function. It is not necessary to have direct experience of managing a development role if you have had experience of working on fundraising campaigns or with fundraising colleagues. The Postal Museum is a young museum with developing practice and so, they are more interested in recruiting someone with the enthusiasm, work ethic and curiosity to develop in their career than someone who knows everything about marketing and development but cannot think beyond that. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working at a senior level in a marketing or communications role, together with experience of developing, implementing, and delivering PR, Digital, and Marketing strategies to achieve sales targets. You will have experience delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns with demonstrable ROI, and a proven ability to motivate and lead teams, advise, and influence senior colleagues. You should have experience of building and managing a brand, as well as building and managing relationships with media contacts, partner organisations, stakeholders, and agencies.

Your Role

Purpose

This is an exciting and vital role performing a range of finance and governance tasks, working within the Senior Leadership Team of a leading mental health charity focused on supporting children and young people.

The Head of Finance and Operations (HFO) will be responsible for the successful management of the charity finances and operations, as well as making a leading contribution to the  charity’s strategic direction.  The role is responsible to the CEO, and activity oversight spans finance, HR, IT, and office management. The HFO is also responsible to the Trustees for the financial state of the charity and as Company Secretary. Job Description

The Head of Advocacy and Policy will be responsible for developing an excellent Advice Service and Retention Team to support and advise students effectively to enable excellent student experience and satisfaction.

This role will lead on the development of effective insights, representation and support initiatives/campaigns for students, across our three campuses at Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway.

This role will enhance work with the diverse student population of the University of Greenwich and lead a dynamic team to ensure students have consistent and accessible services that contribute to positive student experience.

This role sits within the wider Membership Services department, together with other key areas consisting of; Activities, Sport, Academic Communities, Representation and Democracy, we provide a high-quality service for students, that they can shape, steer and be at the heart of.

This postholder will be part of the GSU Senior Leadership Team and will be expected to contribute to department and organisation wide strategic development.

The post holder will:

• Have expert knowledge in areas of in relation to Advice and Retention and policies and legislation relating to such activity
• Support and develop strong student-led communities and campaigns in areas of: Advice, wellbeing and retention so that members can thrive
• Provide line management support to staff so that the team have up to date, specialist advice skills, knowledge and understanding of University regulations, policies and procedures that may affect the work of the Advice service and oversee engagement across Greenwich’s 3 campuses
