Job Description 

The role holder will create effective communications and engagement to support the charity’s work. You will drive positive two-way engagement through our digital channels. Your work will support organisational priorities, driving reach, community engagement and donations.

Key responsibilities include:

Communication and campaign creation

• Drafting digital communication and engagement plans to deliver results. 
• Crafting exciting, creative, energetic, simple communications which drive action.
• Working to support colleagues and audiences. Working with stakeholders to ensure communications are planned and delivered at the right time to meet their needs.

Using results to drive change

• Using insight to inform new plans. 
• Monitoring and evaluating impact by using analytics to maximise effectiveness. 

Copy creation 

• Using your strong written and verbal skills to curate and manage high-quality, consistent content across all our delivery platforms: social, Live Well Hub, web, email and PR.
• Interviewing members of the community and creating engaging content from their stories.
• Generating press releases to drive coverage and awareness and raise the profile of campaigns.

Social media

• Leading on building our impact and engagement on social media with our audiences, in line with our objectives, including supporting engagement campaigns and fundraising. 
• Ensuring that we are using the best tools and techniques by staying up-to-date with trends.
• Monitoring social media, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to enquiries. 
• Using analytics to constantly optimise our social media impact. 

Email

• Developing content for email marketing, including for fundraising and events campaigns.
• Optimising email by A/B testing content to maximise performance through design and content improvements and creating triggered email sequences to build our message. 
• Using audience segmentation and personalisation to support campaigns.
• Using analytics to identify ways to constantly optimise our email impact. 

Website content plus content SEO

• Overseeing content development for the website and checking existing content so our website is kept up-to-date, engaging, and on brand.
• Ensuring web content is optimised for SEO and usability, training staff on best practice.
• Leading team efforts to enhance the website as an engagement tool. 
• Using analytics to identify potential content changes.

Engagement

• Acting as the digital community lead for engagement of our online communities on social media and the Live Well Hub, including guiding team members to follow best practice.  
• Supporting online events and driving positive engagement opportunities.
• Responding proactively and appropriately to online messages and comments.
• Engaging and participating in online community groups and discussions beyond our channels.

Brand communication

• Ensuring all activity aligns with brand priorities.
• Championing on-brand messaging. Acting as a trusted expert on brand tone of voice. 
• Ensuring all media and communications guidelines/policies are followed and kept updated. 
• Sharing best practice with the wider organisation and continuing professional development. 

Creative skills

• Generating and developing creative and innovative ideas with a good eye for brand, design, film and photography.
• Creating engaging collateral through software such as Canva, Photoshop or Indesign.
• Editing small amounts of audio or video (desirable).

Essential skills:

• High energy, with the ability to work at a fast pace, with a proactive, creative and flexible approach.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and autonomously from home while working collaboratively and building relationships as part of a tight-knit team. 
• A keen eye for detail with a consistently high quality of work output.
• Highly organised, able to manage a content schedule, and plan and deliver digital campaigns. Able to prioritise work across multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrable experience in developing, leading and executing high-quality, effective communications and engagement strategies that achieve desired results.
• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills for social media, web, email and PR.
• An understanding of how communications affect and engage audiences.
• An ability to communicate in an inclusive way with diverse audiences.
• Experience in managing and optimising website content, with strong on-page SEO skills.
• Confident using tools like Dot Digital (email) and Loomly (social scheduling).
• Able to flex hours and work outside normal hours where needed to cover events (time off in lieu will be provided).
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, and digital monitoring tools.

Marketing management

• Supporting our Head of Marketing to develop cross-organisation marketing plans to help us achieve our member retention objectives and reach new audiences.
• Leading projects with our Members Services Team, Education and Training, and External Affairs teams to understand the market and customer need for our products and services.

Marketing activities

• Lead on the delivery of effective marketing plans for a range of audiences and outputs, including but not limited to our online and in-person events, qualifications, training and assessments, and clinical guidance, guidelines and standards.
• Write engaging copy for both online and offline marketing collateral – including news stories, blogs, email communications, print and digital adverts, and social media.
• Segment and tailor marketing communications for a range of audiences by professional role, membership type, and level of involvement with us.
• Manage regular email communications with our registered users (those who express an interest in us) and candidates (those currently learning with us) to support their journey towards becoming a member.
• Develop and manage the marketing activities for our core member publication The British Medical Journal in Sexual and Reproductive Health (BMJ SRH)
• Proactively manage a content calendar to help keep track of our range of communications.
• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer to repurpose content from our website and campaign publications for use on social media.
• Ensure all communications practices are GDPR compliant.

Marketing intelligence

• Support the Head of Marketing with desk-based research / activities to help us better understand and engage with newer audiences (e.g., physician associates, pharmacists).
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using a range of tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM reports, Google Data Studio), working closely with our Digital Content Manager and Data Manager.
• Proactively look at ways to improve the overall effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data and insights to inform this.
• Track and monitor email campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements, most notably during our annual member renewals campaign.

Brand management

• Champion our FSRH values, brand guidelines and style guide, supporting the Head of Marketing to keep our templates and materials up-to-date and implemented correctly.
• Support the development of event specific content for in-person and online events, and occasionally assist as an FSRH representative.
• Produce slides for our CEO / Officers where needed to help share information about FSRH’s work.

You will have experience:

• Developing and delivering successful and multichannel marketing and communications plans
• using email marketing tools and segmenting communications to suit specific audiences
• working across social media platforms and creating tailored content
• using data to understand audiences, measure the success of campaigns and improve effectiveness

Skills & experience:

● You have interest and belief in our mission to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools.

● 3+ years prior experience in a similar role.

The recruitment process

As a Proramme Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Leap’s funded and paid-for programmes. This includes planning and overseeing delivery, coordination with referral partners and managing programme budgets. This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. International Relationship Manager

Role purpose

ShelterBox has a growing network of international supporters who connect with the organisation through our international affiliates - independent charities in their own countries. Affiliates’ supporter growth and engagement activities are enabled by this role with further support from other UK-based teams, including fundraising, brand, content and comms.

ShelterBox has 13 affiliates who are directly helping the organisation achieve one of our strategic objectives of international diversified funding. Affiliates share our mission and consequently raise awareness and funding to support the organisation. Collectively they contribute greatly to engaging with and a global community of supporters. We raise a significant proportion of ShelterBox’s total income through our affiliate network, and from other international donors in countries beyond our affiliates. 

 The purpose of the Interim International Giving Manager role is to support the management of affiliate relationships with ShelterBox by providing a focal point for day-to-day dialogue; to share information and resources effectively across the network; and to develop collaborative working relationships which enhance our supporter experience.  

This role will empower the international network by providing materials, information and content which is key to achieving a consistent brand and fundraising success. One of the ways that this role will help to bring this community together is with a series of engagements throughout the year, not least of which is the annual International Fundraising Conference attended by key personnel from the fundraising network, strategic partnerships and UK staff.

Who are we looking for?

ShelterBox is seeking an inspiring and proactive relationship builder who can take a leading role in the International Giving team. They will be the focal point for providing support to many of our international fundraising staff and volunteers, with a high level of attention to detail and supporter-centric best practice. They should be confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working with a broad set of objectives associated with fundraising and communications. They be the line manager for other members of the team who have shared responsibility for international supporter growth and engagement.

 Duties include but are not limited to:

• Leading key relationships with affiliate staff and volunteers to execute the strategy for growing diversified international income.
• Line management of the International Giving Executive role to deliver international supporter communications and volunteer engagement. Nurturing their development.
• Supporting delivery of the international Rotary partnership strategy, in collaboration with the Rotary Partnership Manager, by bringing together international fundraisers at key moments in the annual calendar.
• Communicating clear guidance on shared global fundraising priorities, drawing on data and insight to optimise results.
• Working collaboratively with affiliates to contribute to a suite of refreshed brand communication materials.
• Managing the translation of key communications (including subtitles for videos produced by B&C) into languages required by affiliates.
• Supporting enhanced communications with affiliates during times of major disaster
• Proactively identifying growth opportunities and promoting these across the international network
• Facilitating consistent application of the joint ShelterBox and Rotary brand guidelines.
• Leading the design and delivery of the annual International Fundraising Conference.
• Travelling internationally to fundraising events or meetings with affiliates
• Maintaining an up-to-date contact list for affiliates together with records of reports, meetings and plans
• Maintaining an up-to-date record of correspondence, meeting minutes and actions taken
• Manage financial processes related to international income including annual budget-setting and quarterly reforecasting.
• Deliver data for reporting on the agreed set of financial and non-financial KPIs.
• Liaising with Finance to facilitate the receipt of grants from Affiliates and any other fund transfers.
• Liaising with Procurement to facilitate the planning of any expenditure and/or the process through which purchases are made.
• Other administrative duties that may be required by the team from time to time.

PR Manager

Position: PR Manager

Location: Remote/flexible (must be able to work in Warwick and London offices occasionally)

Salary: £41,000 - 46,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Role

The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

· Generate regular, positive, proactive media coverage

· Proactively sell stories into the media as well as react to incoming enquiries

· Work with the Head of Media to develop impactful press strategies in line with the wider PR strategy

· Take a proactive approach to gathering NHS staff, member and supporter case studies

· Identify and develop high quality media pitches, spotting slots and opportunities and piggybacking on the news agenda where appropriate

· Build positive working relationships with target journalists

· Monitor and evaluate media coverage and PR activity, sharing coverage with key internal and external stakeholders

· Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the issues affecting the NHS, and the wider political environment support liaison with NHS England, DHSC and other bodies to build relationships and ensure alignment of messages

The role is a hybrid of office and home working, requiring occasional meetings at the Warwick office. The team also meets in London but this is flexible, depending on the location of the successful candidate.

About You

You will have experience working in public relations. You will have experience of leading successful PR media relations strategies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be creative and passionate about delivering impactful work, with a proven ability to be highly organised and manage your own workload.

You will also have:

· Experience in developing and implementing media strategies for a high-profile organisation.

· Demonstrable evidence of successfully pitching to and building relationships with national, regional and sector journalists.

· A strong track record in reactive media management for an organisation in the public eye.

· Excellent time management skills and an ability to consistently meet deadlines.

· Excellent political awareness

· A strong track record in writing impactful content for different channels.

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. What the job involves 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant Brand and Media (Attention) team within our wider Communications directorate. As the Media and Communications Manager, you’ll be the team’s lead on Health Services, Equity and Improvement (including policy and campaigns) and Research communications, delivering impactful media moments which inspire action and drive positive change for men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.

You’ll raise the profile of the cause and the brand, co-managing the activity of the charity’s media relations function and protecting the organisation’s principles and reputation. The impactful media messaging that you provide to a range of audiences will secure hard-hitting and compelling coverage, you can see our latest news stories on the Research and Treatment sections of our website.   

You’ll also be acting as line manager to the Senior Media and Communications Officer.

What we want from you 

We’re looking for an inspiring and strategic storyteller, you’ll be an expert in leading communications projects to inspire action and drive change and with a track record of generating media coverage to deliver messages to a range of audiences. 

You’ll be an excellent communicator with a strong understanding of different communication channels and have specialist knowledge of media relations. Experience in building trusted relationships with colleagues, external stakeholders, and journalists is essential. With previous line management experience, you’ll have a motivation to help others achieve their full potential and actively supports our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and allyship. 

With excellent organisational skills with strong analytical skills and an ability to digest complex information, often under pressure of tight media deadlines. You’ll have a flexible approach to handling both planned projects and reactive opportunities. 

This role will be fixed term for 13 months covering sabbatical leave.
