About the role
The role is to lead the work of Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea, working with a small skilled staff team and a range of volunteers and other community stakeholders. In particular, you will share our commitment to embed user engagement and community development at the heart of the Healthwatch service model, empowering user voices and improving access to health services. We are looking for someone who can bring a thorough understanding of the health system and project management with the ability to deliver results quickly including leading on the planning and delivery of targeted projects, supporting a diverse and varied engagement programme, and building relationships with a range of strategic partners. The Healthwatch Manager (Kensington & Chelsea) also takes the lead on managing our local Advisory Board. You will work closely with the Healthwatch teams in Westminster and Brent.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea’s work conforms to all required principles, objectives and statutory obligations, and meets all contractual requirements between The Advocacy Project and RBKC Council.
- Manage and motivate a small staff team to deliver an effective and vibrant local Healthwatch.
- Provide leadership to make sure the patient and public voice is heard across health, social care, children’s and other sectors in a continuously changing external environment.
- Support the effective working of the Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea Advisory Board.
- Ensure local communities are able to participate fully in our work, particularly those that are least likely to have had their voices listened to. Support these communities in influencing local and national policy.
- Represent Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea at strategic governance and external meetings with key stakeholders, liaising with nominated Board leads regularly.
- Develop the service to respond to emerging trends and needs, keeping abreast of Healthwatch England best practice to continually enhance the quality of the service.
- Monitor the service to make sure it delivers to time, budget and quality; provide reports evidencing this to key stakeholders, including local commissioners, Healthwatch Advisory Board, the Bi-borough Health and Wellbeing Board and Healthwatch England.
- Develop effective partnerships with key staff in health and social care services.
- Work with the communications and engagement lead to make sure all relevant internal and external stakeholders receive relevant, timely and up-to-date communication about all Healthwatch projects.

In this role, you will:
- Lead on partnership development for strategically important sectors including food and beverage and agriculture, as well as other sectors to be determined. - Develop and manage a pipeline of potential high value, annual and multi-year new business opportunities, ensuring there is sufficient lead generation, active movement and conversion to secure annual and multi-year 6-figure+ partnerships.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the WaterAid federation including partnerships, communications, programmes and advocacy to identify and develop high-quality propositions that meet both partner and WaterAid needs.
- Lead WaterAid’s presence at global events and conferences, building a network of contacts amongst companies and actively cultivating this network.

Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Proven experience in generating six-figure strategic, new business partnerships from cold in the charity sector or in a commercial setting and proven ability to meet and exceed personal targets.
- An externally focused and proactive attitude, with the energy and passion to engage people and excite them about WaterAid, alongside the ability to forge effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including internal and external C-suite.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with an aptitude for writing high-quality and engaging proposals for a corporate audience.
- Strong working understanding of charity-corporate partnerships, corporate sustainability, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Understanding and experience of international development

As the Events and Community Fundraising Manager you will lead the delivery of events and community activity that engages people to raise vital funds for Missing People. We’re looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager to lead our work across our funded projects and play a vital role in helping achieve our ambition of reaching one million young people over the next decade.
In this role, you’ll lead MEL for projects funded by our partner, the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), helping us scale our impact while keeping evaluation quality high. As part of our Impact team, you’ll manage the full end-to-end MEL cycle for education projects funded by QFFD and delivered by our partners across Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled line manager with experience in general welfare advice to join Sufra NW London. In this highly rewarding role, you will oversee the delivery of services that can measurably change lives by providing quality advice and support to those most in need.
You will manage our team of advice staff and volunteers to deliver high quality advice, information and welfare support to guests on a range of topics including benefits, housing, debt and immigration issues. An additional focus will be on establishing clear pathways for referring guests to external services, and managing volunteers to triage, signpost and refer guests to other forms of welfare support.
The advice team consists of paid staff and support volunteers. This year will be dedicated to consolidation of the service, ensuring that we are fulfilling our core mission to the highest standards. We are also hoping to launch our immigration advice service, providing guests with a first point of contact for their immigration needs and smooth referral pathways to specialist advice. Finally, our OpenARMs programme will be launching workshops for our refugee and asylum-seeker communities.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, especially Head of Advice at Sufra to support the implementation of new initiatives, and the expansion of our information and advice services to enhance our efficiency and impact.
The post holder will be a highly articulate and proactive individual with good welfare advice knowledge, 3+ years delivery experience in managing a charity team, strong service management skills, as well as experience managing staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of the welfare system, immigration and safeguarding protocols. They must also have demonstrable experience using a case management system, adhering to advice standards and be able to manage a diverse workload and work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
Advice Services
• Manage the advice service by overseeing and supporting volunteers and advice staff at our Community Wellbeing Service and Foodbank including setting objectives, managing performance and providing feedback during supervisions.
• Hold a small case load of advice guests, supporting them to achieve their aims
• Maintain a high quality service by ensuring that the advice team and volunteers are working to agreed standards and delivering against realistic grant agreements from funders.
• Use our case management software to report on cases and outcomes to support funding applications and remain compliant with funding needs.
Service Development
• Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop, expand and improve Sufra’s information and advice services in alignment with our 2030 strategy.
• Carry out ongoing review of existing service delivery procedures.
• Undertake quality assurance including case checking and quality of advice audit.
• Identify the training needs of advice staff and volunteers through support, mentoring and supervisions.
• Ensure colleagues and relevant stakeholders are informed of changing legislation and social policy updates.
• Improve the case management systems to ensure it is fit for purpose.
• Work within the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) framework, ensuring that all policies and procedures are up to date for future assessments
Volunteer Management
• Develop, review and implement key policies and procedures to better equip Advice Volunteers to fulfil their role.
• Provide induction, support and supervision to enhance the quality standard of the service and contribute to the personal development of volunteers.
• Foster a positive working environment that maintains high morale and supports Advice Volunteer retention and regular participation.
Budgets, Monitoring & Evaluation
• Support the Senior Leadership Team in setting service budgets, updating policies, and monitoring spending in line with reporting and budgetary requirements.
• Ensure appropriate systems are maintained for recording statistics and outcomes.
• Provide regular and timely monitoring reports on service outputs, outcomes and expenditure.
• Collect regular feedback and conduct surveys from relevant stakeholders to inform ongoing improvements to the Advice Service.
• Contribute to strategic development by setting action plans in line with agreed Business Plans and keeping teams accountable to Action Plan goals.
Other
• Ensure the advice team are working in adherence to organisational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Partner Management:
- Accountability for the value distributed, engagement, frequency of donation, campaign participation, financial contributions and relevant KPIs of partner portfolio.
- Protect, nurture and grow relationships with a defined number of existing corporate partners (retail and non-retail), developing persuasive and tailored proposals, progress reports and analysis.
- Support the shift from surplus donations to planned donations which could be through retailer/sales activations
- Use a tiered approach to prioritise and build deeper relationships, shifting from reactive to proactive planning, and develop joint business plans with priority partners.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Charity network team to maximise corporate involvement and engagement in the events and content programme.

Business Development
- To research and identify suitable prospective corporate partners for securing donations of product in line with the charity and network-user needs.

Presentation and Analysis
- Produce and develop compelling proposals and presentations for a wide range of corporate partnership audiences, from staff to senior executives.
- Maintain accurate records, analysis & reporting of activity on in-house CRM system.
- Maintain a strong external profile as an ambassador for the charity, whilst keeping up to date with developments in the Corporate and Charity Sector.
- Work closely with Head of Corporate Partnerships & Head of Business Development to ensure robust forecasting of corporate accounts including accurate maintenance of product donation and corporate financial pipelines
