A leading UK children’s charity is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the delivery of its statutory financial reporting and strengthen its financial controls. Working closely with the Head of Financial Accounting and Processing, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and the successful delivery of the year-end audit process.

The Role

You will support the preparation of the charity’s statutory financial statements and work closely with external auditors during the year-end audit. The role also involves maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate fund accounting, and overseeing compliance with VAT and corporation tax requirements.

You will help ensure appropriate accounting treatment across the organisation, maintain strong financial controls, and contribute to improvements in finance processes and systems. The position also provides exposure to technical accounting developments, including upcoming changes to FRS102 and the Charities SORP.

• We are looking for an experienced finance professional with strong financial accounting experience and a proven track record of supporting statutory accounts preparation and audit processes.
• You will have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• You will ideally have experience managing complex restricted and unrestricted funding, or similar experience in a complex organisation.

The advisor ensures income maximisation and provides ongoing casework support, acting on behalf of clients where necessary. Maintaining up-to-date case records and staying informed about relevant legislation, policies, and procedures are crucial aspects of the role. The Debt Advisor is also expected to complete continuous professional development and contribute to the team’s overall objectives by meeting targets, prioritising workloads, and demonstrating financial efficiency.

The MCF has an exciting opportunity for a Grants Officer to join our fantastic Charity Grants team on a 12-month contract to cover for one of our Grants Officers going on maternity leave.

The role is responsible for delivering all aspects of MCF’s core and Provincial charity grant programmes.  You will deal with enquiries, conduct initial meetings with charities online, assess written applications, and prepare and present recommendations to decision‑making panels. Main responsibilities

· Assess expressions of interest and applications received under the MCF’s core and Provincial programmes against charity grants criteria, MCF strategy and funding priorities and the societal need.

· Conduct financial assessments to identify any potential risk of financial or reputational damage to MCF.

· Present assessments and peer review other applications at grant panels.

· Prepare application summaries for committee meetings.

· Review grant monitoring reports, ensuring their progression is on track and in line with the applications.

· Build relationships between MCF and grant holders.

The role

The MCF’s current funding priorities includes Early Years, children and young people with SEND, and children affected by domestic abuse. Ideally the successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of at least one of these areas.

The ideal applicant will already have experience within the third sector and have some knowledge and experience of grant-making either through a grant-making organisation or as a fundraiser applying for grants. They will have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role it is essential to have strong report writing skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to complete analytical assessment. It is also desirable to have research skills, presentation skills and an understanding of charity finances and accounts.

About the Role

This role will lead Trase’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning agenda. Working as part of Trase’s Impact Team, you will strengthen our evidence base on how Trase influences decisions of governments, businesses and civil society on commodity trade, building credibility with external stakeholders, including donors, and supporting the ongoing development of our theory of change. 

Trase has made a significant investment over the last decade in developing an initiative-wide culture for learning and knowledge-based decision making including an established and regularly reviewed Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) function and annual plan.

As we enter a new strategic period (2026 – 2030) we are seeking to further strengthen the MEL function and invest more in understanding how our data and intelligence influences decisions and the role of transparency in driving change.

Our work spans 6 outcomes with a focus on influencing decisions, priorities and building capacity of civil society governments and the private sector in key producer countries and export markets for forest risk commodities.

Responsibilities

1. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) strategy and implementation (20%)

• Lead the development and implementation of MEL strategy and annual work plan
• Quality assurance and coordination of MEL inputs from across the team. 
• Review and maintain MEL data collection and knowledge management tools.
• Build awareness and motivation for effective MEL across the team.
• Support the role of MEL in influencing the development of Trase’s theory of change, strategy and planning.

2. Monitoring and reporting (30%)

• Strengthen Trase’s monitoring framework including using new approaches to integrate qualitative data and better understand the significance of Trase’s contributions (including change stories and outcome harvesting) across our intermediate outcomes, long-term outcomes and impact goals. 
• Quarterly progress reporting of outcomes and outputs for internal management. 
• Support on donor reporting including drafting narrative reports and updating results framework. 

3. Evaluation and learning (50%)

Oversight of biannual external evaluations and annual review of effectiveness questions across sustainability, impact, relevance, effectiveness and efficiency.

• Support internal reviews and evaluations across Trase teams and partners.
• Strengthen Trase’s learning culture, supporting team leads on facilitating learning sessions, retrospectives and thematic evaluations on key topics and applying these lessons in planning and decision-making. 
• Bring evidence and insights for proposals and the development of Trase’s theories of change.

About You

Essential behavioural competencies:

This is a global recruitment with visa sponsorship available for relocation to the UK for candidates that do not already have the right to live and work in the UK. Salary & Benefits

Salary: £55,000 full time equivalent (note: salaries in Brazil and Switzerland will be benchmarked to local teams). This role sits within Band D on Global Canopy’s remuneration framework.

Nature of contract: Full time or Part Time (60 – 100% FTE). Permanent contract. We are a flexible employer and welcome candidates wishing to work flexibly.

Base: In the UK our office is in Oxford, with flexible home-working arrangements in place. In Brazil and Switzerland we are fully remote working. We will support visa sponsorship to the UK for this position. Candidates wishing to work in Brazil and Switzerland will need right to work in these countries. 

Holidays: 36 days (including bank/public holidays) for discretionary use across the annual leave year. Option to purchase up to an additional 5 days or equivalent of one week’s leave.

Over the last nine years we have built the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) to deliver high quality centred support, technical expertise, valued partnerships and outstanding outcomes. STEP provides a bespoke employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that refugees face when preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.

STEP supports refugees to develop the skills and identify the opportunities they need to secure sustainable employment.  We are now looking to recruit an Employment Advisor to provide an exemplary level of in-person and remote support to STEP clients in the Cambridge area. 

You will be working directly with refugee clients, providing high quality 1:1 advice and guidance to help them on their employment journey. You will prepare clients for competitive employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of clients such as successful completion of training courses, voluntary and work placements, and achieving and sustaining paid employment. 

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience or knowledge within the employment sector
• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by people who have experienced forced displacement accessing employment.
• Knowledge of adult learning/vocational training
• Experience of delivering 1:1 advice and guidance and coaching
• Experience of reviewing and supervising a case load of participants
• Awareness of Safeguarding people at risk and maintaining professional boundaries
• Experience facilitating group workshops

This role provides vital operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of CALM’s fundraising activities and the delivery of exceptional supporter care. Your responsibilities will cover everything from CRM accuracy and financial processing to merchandise fulfillment, event coordination and supporter stewardship.

Responsibilities

CORE

• Contribute to CALM’s Fundraising Revenue targets, through excellent administration and compliance to fundraising practices

• Work with the Fundraising team to ensure all supporters receive excellent care from CALM as well as completing all assigned admin tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

• When required, be an active and engaged member of CALMs EDI Supergroup.

• Be a data steward for fundraising, ensuring quality data management.

Role specifics

Stewardship:

• Monitor and help deliver the multi channel supporter enquiries process, ensuring response rate is in line with CALM’s SLA and fundraisers are directed to the appropriate support.

• Proactively support fundraisers, when directed, throughout their journey, to support with the effective planning and delivery of supporter activities. 

• Support with the planning, set up and delivery of stewardship events (both CALM owned and supporter led), assisting with logistics, supporter communications and delivery as required. 

• Support the wider team in the development, optimisation, testing and ongoing maintenance of stewardship journeys, including carrying out key messaging updates to core email journeys across all Fundraising streams when needed.

• Support on the maintenance, optimisation  and creation of relevant pages on the CALM website.

• Support the fundraising and Marketing & Communications team to identify supporters we can profile and champion by regularly checking fundraising pages, social media and event registrations. 

• Support the Social Fundraising Manager with ad moderation where required

Operational and administrative support:

• Carry our regular, financial and administrative processes to a high standard with the Salesforce CRM

• Act as first point of contact for individual donors via email, phone and post, processing office donations and completing payment runs to the bank. 

• Support retention activities, including upgrade, reactivation and loyalty journeys.

• Provide administrative support for acquisition and retention campaigns

• When relevant coordinate mailing logistics (briefing agencies, checking proofs, managing print and fulfilment)

• Work with the Fundraising team to continuously update and maintain fundraising documentation, processes, templates and procedures, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and supporter experience. 

• Support the teams with finding cost effective travel and hotels to support event delivery.

• Support the Head of Public Fundraising with month end financial reconciliation processes

• Identify and code income across various fundraising platforms.

• Preparing data and  uploading into CRM Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and quality are maintained by identifying improvements to process and working with the CRM team to deliver 

Fulfilment:

• Work with the Product team to maintain the supporter merchandise online portal, reporting on sales of merchandise and managing kit restock and reordering processes across fundraising.

• Act as the main point of contact for the relationship with our fulfilment partner, managing enquiries and escalation issues. 

• Oversee stock management, ensuring our supporter store availability reflects current stock levels and being responsible for co-ordinating timely restocking.

• Run daily checks of the supporter store to ensure order fulfilment can be carried out.

The role

As a Senior Coach you will be working on the frontline delivering high quality one-to-one support to a caseload of young people across London. You will support young people to recognise and capitalise on their strengths by taking a coaching approach. You will work with young people who have been identified as having higher support needs and be proactive in taking steps to manage risk across your caseload. We are looking for a driven, experienced individual, with the relevant skills to provide high quality support to a caseload of young people and ensure we give the very best we can. We are interested in someone who has a good grounding in a related frontline service and experience of proactively managing a caseload, collecting high quality data and keeping accurate notes. You will have the ability to take initiative and be comfortable flexing your priorities to support young people alongside holding Settle’s strategic goals.

You will be comfortable managing a level of heightened risk with the young people you are supporting, keeping timely and high-quality records, liaising with other professionals from a range of backgrounds, and providing support to colleagues to work towards positive outcomes for young people. You will have experience in managing safeguarding concerns well and thrive in the ups and downs of support-based work.

Overall, we are looking for a compassionate frontline worker, with an understanding of the value in coaching, and who has a level head at times of crisis. Youth Focus West Midlands (YFWM) is looking for a Regional Development Lead to work as part of the Network of Regional Youth Work Units to build an inclusive and equitable approach to youth voice and youth engagement, ensuring the most marginalised and under-represented young people have their voices heard and acted upon across the UK.

The Development Lead will manage the Amplify funded programme of work across the region. This will include the facilitation of learning networks, peer support groups and peer research approaches, overseeing of project communications and delivering training and support programmes. Along with the collation of best practice around youth voice and contributing to evaluation and impact reporting requirements.

This is a part-time (17.5 hours per week) role on a Fixed Term Contract of 4 years, offering £29,000–£30,000 per annum pro-rata depending on experience (£14,500 – £15,000 before deductions). The role is remote (equipment provided) but with frequent travel required across the West Midlands. Occasional evening and weekend working will also be required.
