Key Responsibilities –
You’ll shape and lead RBL’s campaigning activity, working closely with colleagues across Policy, Public Affairs, Membership, Marketing & Communications and Services to deliver impactful, evidence-based campaigns.
· Leading compelling national and reactive campaigns that deliver real-world change.
· Developing creative, modern campaigning approaches across digital and in-person channels.
· Growing and energising RBL’s campaign supporter network.
· Using insight, evidence and lived experience to set clear campaigning priorities.
· Measuring, evaluating and communicating campaign impact.
· Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, coalitions and partners.
· Acting as a national spokesperson on campaigns when required.
· Line managing and supporting the Campaigns Engagement and Mobilisation Officer.
You’ll also work closely with local and devolved colleagues to ensure national campaigns resonate at every level and support the Head of Public Affairs & Campaigns with planning, budgeting and leadership.
You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site. However, for the right candidate with the appropriate skills and experience, we are open to considering a remote working arrangement.

About the Role
The Campaigner will support the development and delivery of campaigns that drive positive change within food systems. This role is ideal for someone early in their campaigning career who is passionate about influencing decision‑makers, mobilising public support, and helping deliver strategic impact across a variety of issues within food systems from dismantling industrial farming to delegitimising large corporations like large supermarket chains. This role will work collaboratively with colleagues across campaigns, so would suit an adaptive candidate with strong communication skills, keen to learn and grow within Foodrise.
Job Description
Campaign Delivery
- Support the planning, coordination, and implementation across a range of campaign activities, ensuring anti-oppressive practice is embedded throughout campaigns.
- Assist in monitoring political, social, and media developments relevant to campaign objectives.

The Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership was set up in 2017 with the mission to 'develop inspirational leaders who are called, connected, committed to deliver the Church of England vision for education'. Since then, it has operated a wide range of leadership development programmes, networks, research, conference and events, and published a range of key leadership resources to equip school leaders at every level to put their vision into practice.
Part of this provision has been as a very successful national provider of NPQ programmes. Beginning in 2017 with the delivery of NPQs for Headteachers, our suite of programmes has now expanded to include programmes for Specialist Teachers, Senior Leaders and also Executive Leaders. About the role
As Head of Flourishing Programmes, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery and expansion of our growing suite of values-led professional learning programmes: Flourishing Leaders, Flourishing Teachers, Flourishing ECTs (in partnership with UCL), and Leaders Like Us. As Legacy and In-Memory Manager you will be responsible for leading your team to drive transformational change, through the delivery of our legacy and in-memory growth strategy.

The purpose of this role is to bring together two of FareShare South West’s (FSSW) most critical functions — community membership and food supply — to help transform our current impact, rescuing and sharing food for million more meals. The post holder will lead the development and implementation of both the membership and food strategies, ensuring our membership offer is responsive to community need, operational capacity and the changing landscape of surplus food.
This role is responsible for building and sustaining strong regional and national food partnerships, aligning supply with member demand, and ensuring food reaches the highest priority organisations. The post holder will lead and develop expert teams, strengthen cross-departmental collaboration, and drive service improvements, innovation and growth.
As a key member of the Wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the role ensures robust governance, accountability and performance across membership and food, contributing to
organisational strategy, financial sustainability and long-term impact for communities across the South West.
1) Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Provide visible, values-led leadership with clear accountability to the CEO and Board; ensuring teams are aligned behind a consistent culture and change agenda.
- Lead the creation and implementation of the membership and food strategies; delivering to budget, achieving ambitious targets, and embedding innovation for long-term growth.
- Contribute to the wider organisational strategy. Work with the CEO/SLT to set annual budgets and reforecasts, providing regular financial, key performance indicators (KPIs) and narrative reports to the CEO and Board.
- Lead the development and introduction of emerging surplus food types e.g., frozen food, re-labelling, catering packs into our operation, ensuring this is fully aligned across membership, food and operations teams.

2) Food Partners and Supply
- With support from the CEO, lead on the key relationship with the national partner FareShare and The Felix Project, ensuring food supply is maximised and aligned with organisational needs.
- Be accountable for all incoming food supply, including national (70-75% of our total supply via FareShare and The Felix Project) and locally sourced (25-30%).
- Raise awareness of FSSW’s capability to redistribute surplus food and, with support from our communications team, position the organisation as the surplus food partner of choice in the region, leading on food campaigns, external activity, networks and events.
- Working with the Food Manager, maintain and grow local food partnerships across the South West to secure supply aligned with infrastructure, growth plans and community need—taking the lead on stewarding key suppliers and maintaining accurate records.
- Be accountable for food safety and compliance across the organisation, including product recalls, legislation changes, liaison with national partners and the Health and Safety consultant.
- Work closely with both the food and fundraising teams to develop and deliver a gleaning programme across the organisation.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure all incoming food is compliant, within capacity limits, and aligned to local operational realities.
- Be accountable for key food related projects and reporting for relevant funders, working with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate procurement data.
- Be accountable for the food pipeline and for managing internal and external communications related to food availability, allocation, planning and future growth.
3) Community Membership Development
- Establish a refreshed, high value membership service and value proposition, aligned to surplus food supply, logistics capacity and community need.
- Ensure the membership team implements a data-driven strategy for recruitment and retention, incorporating member feedback, root cause analysis and performance insights.
- Develop and lead long-term, strategic partnerships aligned with the current and future needs of the membership programme, representing the organisation in South West networks relevant to FSSW’s mission.

Set up in March 2020, Hackney School of Food (HSoF) is a food education hub on the grounds of Mandeville Primary School in Clapton, East London. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of children, families, and our community by developing practical skills and confidence in food growing and cooking, from seed to spoon.
In 2023, we became a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), and have since grown our team, strengthened our governance and expanded our facilities with the addition of a new Garden Room, increasing capacity for workshops, dining and events. Role Overview
This brand-new role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver Hackney School of Food’s commercial and marketing strategy, with a focus on growing key income streams including corporate engagement, paid workshops and events, and venue hire. You will shape how HSoF positions itself externally and how we grow our trading income to subsidise our food education community offer.
While this is currently a freelance role, it is not a transactional position; you’ll collaborate closely with our team, supported by and reporting to our Managing Director. This is a role for someone who can think commercially and creatively and then roll up sleeves to put strategy into action. You’ll believe in our mission and feel passionately about helping Hackney School of Food grow and thrive. Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Income Generation
● Work with the Managing Director to develop and deliver a clear, mission-aligned commercial and marketing strategy.

We recognise that Hackney School of Food is at a growth stage and that commercial income is shaped by many factors, including capacity, seasonality and market conditions. These outputs are intended as guiding success measures rather than rigid targets.
By the end of the initial six-month contract, the Commercial & Marketing Lead will have:
● Produced and agreed a clear Commercial & Marketing Delivery Plan for Hackney School of Food, setting priorities for growing our commercial income in a way that aligns with our mission.
● Refined our core commercial offers and packages (e.g. corporate away days, team volunteering, venue hire, paid public workshops), ensuring they are appealing and realistic to deliver.
● Built a healthy pipeline by identifying and actively pursuing 10–15 well-aligned commercial leads, with a focus on quality of fit as well as volume.
● Supported a meaningful increase in commercial enquiries, alongside capturing learning about what kinds of outreach, messaging and partnerships resonate most.
● Created a suite of core marketing assets for commercial activity (e.g. simple decks).
● Delivered at least two targeted promotional pushes (for example around corporate away days), testing approaches and learning what works best.
