Key responsibilities:
- Events Marketing
- To oversee the scheduling, production and distribution of promotional e-mails for our events. Liaise with comms team to promote events across AvMA media platform To work on the development of the events pages on the new AvMA web site. Ensuring event web pages are kept up-to-date. To carry out data analysis and web analytics to determine what people are responding to and to highlight the areas we may need to focus/re-focus.
Events Logistics & Management
- In conjunction with the Head of Events, to undertake the production and organisation of events, including inviting and liaising with speakers and arranging event logistics. Effective liaison with speakers, ensuring they have all the information required to participate in the event and providing deadlines for receiving their presentation and biography. To work on site at events as required and run smaller events on your own. Duties will involve setting-up and administering registration, liaising with the venue, greeting speakers and exhibitors, dealing with enquiries from delegates and making sure the event runs smoothly. Production of the online conference documentation, to include speaker presentations.
Research & Event Development
- Help identify and research potential subject areas on which we may want to run events. Keep a close eye on the medico-legal events sector market and other events taking place. Help identify potential new sponsors and exhibitors for our events.
Events CRM
- Develop a sound understanding of AvMA’s new CRM, ensuring we optimise it for the efficient and effective marketing of events.
- To assist if/as required with bookings and booking queries for AvMA’s events.
Other
- To support the Events Department’s quality initiatives and to suggest continuing improvements where needs arise.
- To undertake other duties commensurate with the post as may be required.
- Deputise for the Head of Events when necessary
Person Specification
Essential:
- An understanding of, and commitment to, the values and objectives of AvMA.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritise workload and meet targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence in liaising with speakers, sponsors and delegates.
- Experience of organising events and on-site management of events, including in-person and online events/webinars.
- Marketing copy writing ability, proof-reading skills, outstanding attention to detail.
- Experience of using e-mail marketing platforms (e.g. Dot Digital) and social media to promote events and maintaining event web pages.
- A high level of IT and digital literacy skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics and Adobe In Design
- Staying calm under pressure, a proactive and solutions focussed approach to problem-solving, ability to independently think on your feet.
- Demonstrable commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Desirable:
- Experience of working within a charity.
- Experience of working in healthcare and legal sector events.
- Knowledge or experience of healthcare, the NHS or patient safety work.
- Understanding/experience of Search Engine Optimisation.
Dataro are looking for a Customer Success Manager to help grow their presence across the UK charity sector. This is a role focussed on providing excellent client satisfaction to the post holders UK and Europe based charity and not for profit portfolio. You will spend your time meeting clients, following up on queries and IT tickets, and supporting them in a consultative way to get the best impact from Dataro. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities to deliver great customer service and maintaining great channels of communications.

You’ll work closely with other Customer Success Managers in the UK, as well as colleagues across the USA and Australia. This role would suit someone with experience of customer service and relationship management with a charity setting, who understands fundraising and what tools such as Dataro can do to help support income generation. Candidates don’t need to know Dataro’s product inside out, training will be provided, but an understanding of charity CRMs would be useful.

We are seeking a Health and Science Information Manager to lead the development of highquality health information and research communications for people affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD). This is an exciting opportunity to shape how individuals access, understand and engage with trusted information throughout their journey, from diagnosis and day-to-day management, to the latest scientific and clinical research developments. In this role, you will oversee our extensive portfolio of patient information resources, ensuring all content is accurate, accessible, evidence-based and aligned with the PIF TICK quality standard. You will identify opportunities to create new and engaging resources that meet the evolving needs of the PKD community, using innovative approaches to improve how information is delivered across multiple channels. A key part of the role will be translating complex scientific and medical research into clear, compelling and patient-friendly content. You will help increase awareness of clinical research opportunities, communicate emerging developments in PKD science, and support greater understanding of how research can shape future treatments and care. We are looking for someone with strong strategic thinking, excellent editorial judgement, and the ability to communicate complex health and scientific information with clarity and empathy. This role would suit someone passionate about improving lives through trusted health information while helping connect people to the future of PKD research.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Health information management and quality:
• Support the development and management of the PKD Charity’s health information portfolio across digital and print platforms
• Ensure all content meets PIF TICK standards, including robust processes for development, review, updating and governance
• Maintain oversight of the full information catalogue, ensuring content is accurate, consistent and aligned with current clinical guidance
• Work with clinicians, researchers, and people with lived experience to co-produce and review content Content development and user need
Content development and user need:
• Identify gaps in current provision and lead the development of new information resources
• Ensure content is clear, accessible, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of different audiences
• Use patient insight, feedback and data to continuously improve the quality and usability of information Innovation in information deliver.
Research and science communication:
• Explore new ways of delivering information beyond written formats (e.g. video, audio, webinars, digital tools)
• Improve how information is presented and accessed across the website and other platforms
• Stay up to date with best practice in health information and digital engagement Research and science communication
• Monitor developments in PKD research, treatments, and clinical trials
• Translate complex scientific and medical information into clear, engaging, and accurate content for non-specialist audiences
• Work with the Communications Manager and wider colleagues to plan integrated campaigns, awareness activity and audience engagement.
• Develop compelling stories, updates and features that bring research to life and show its relevance to people affected by PKD.
• Work with colleagues to increase awareness, understanding and interest in PKD research.
Building engagement with research:
• Help create a culture of interest and engagement in research across the PKD community
• Develop content that builds understanding of how research works and why it matters
• Support communication around studies and clinical trials to ensure patients feel informed.

• Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging
