The Sutton Trust delivers a suite of high-impact programmes in partnership with top universities and employers, supporting over 15,000 young people to access competitive courses, apprenticeships, and careers in the UK’s leading professions.
The University Access and Digital (UAD) Programmes Assistant will provide core operational support to the UAD team. The role will support programme set-up, student applications, digital content, events, data processes and student communications across Sutton Trust Online, UK Summer Schools, Teacher Champions and other programme activity. The postholder will support the smooth running of core programme processes, maintain accurate records, support clear communication with students and partners, and provide reliable administrative support to the wider team. The role will suit someone who is highly organised, confident working with data and systems and able to work across several programme areas at once.
The role sits in the University Access and Digital team within the wider Programmes team. The postholder will be line managed by the Senior Programmes Manager: University Access and will work closely with colleagues across University Access and Digital.
Main duties
Events and programme delivery
Assisting in the delivery of online and in person events for students, parents/guardians, and teachers across UAD programmes. This will include organising logistics, providing technical support, tracking attendance, supporting follow up activity and encouraging student engagement.
Supporting Programme Managers to coordinate logistics and student communications for programmes, activities and events delivered online and in person.
Supporting UK Summer Schools delivery, including student communications, partner liaison, logistical planning, student data, safeguarding administration and in-person or residential delivery where required.
Providing cross-programme support where agreed with the line manager and aligned to University Access and Digital priorities.
Student and Stakeholder Communications
Managing student facing inboxes and responding to routine queries from applicants, programme participants, parents/guardians, and teachers.
Triaging more complex queries and escalating safeguarding, complaints or welfare related cases in line with internal processes.
Creating, uploading, updating and quality assuring content on Sutton Trust Online, including checking copy, links, forms and student facing pages.
Supporting the Communications Team to update and develop content on the Trust’s website, marketing materials and newsletters.
Liaising with external stakeholders to support logistical and administrative elements of programme delivery.
Applications, administration and data
Supporting applications to programmes and activities including using central data systems, checking applicant information, preparing student lists, supporting eligibility checks and sharing accurate information with internal and external stakeholders
Maintaining accurate application, programme, engagement and communications data on Salesforce and other relevant systems.
Supporting onboarding for new student cohorts including student lists, welcome communications, platform access and follow up with students who have not completed key steps.
Supporting data quality checks, exports, feedback surveys and routine analysis for programme delivery, reporting and evaluation.
Assisting in the design and delivery of administrative processes to support high-quality programme delivery throughout the student lifecycle.
Helping to improve repeatable administrative processes by identifying recurring issues, documenting processes and suggesting practical fixes.
Providing administrative support for internal and external meetings and training days including travel and room booking, taking minutes and logistics.
Person Specification

Terms of Appointment
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,800-£31,500
Working location: Minimum of two office days per week. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.
Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP.
Hours: The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This role is likely to also be required to attend events / meetings outside of normal working hours during weekday evenings and occasionally at weekends, in line with organisational policies.

The Peer Support Transformation Project is funded by and delivered in partnership with South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust, Mushkil Aasaan, and Wandsworth Carers Centre. It is an integral part of Sound Minds’ Canerows programme; a user led service working to improve the lives of people who are overcoming mental health challenges.
This is a new role at Sound Minds, developed to provide proactive and responsive administrative support across the Peer Support project. The role will provide efficient administration, ensuring that clients on the wait list for peer support are contacted in a timely fashion, and that databases are well maintained.
The postholder will have a passion for maintaining organised systems, whilst also having a friendly approach, communicating with clients with care and empathy.
Salary: £26,936 per annum (pro rata) & 3% contribution to pension

This fixed term contract ends on 31 March 2027 and is renewable depending on funding.

At Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, our mission is to educate and empower the next generation of diverse digital talent. Through the quality of education we deliver, the depth of our industry partnerships and focus on diversity, we are changing the face of the tech sector, expanding the talent pipeline and transforming lives.
We are a specialist Further Education college, where every 16-19 student takes Computer Science and all of our diverse Higher Level and Degree Apprentices work in skills shortage disciplines in innovative, blue-chip companies.
The digital skills gap is costing the UK economy an estimated £63 billion a year in lost GDP. Ada seeks to fill this skills gap by equipping young with the skills industry actually needs.
Ada was announced by the Prime Minister in December 2014; England’s first new FE College since 1993 and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength including a Good with Outstanding features in our first Ofsted Inspection.
16-19 Provision:
As of 2024, we have 187 16-19 students enrolled. Our most recent results are outstanding; 39% of A level results at A*- B and 74% achieving at least one Distinction or better in their externally assessed Computing BTEC. This makes us the best education institution in the country for this BTEC.
Degree Apprenticeships:
Across our London Victoria and Manchester Ancoats campus, we have 363 apprentices currently enrolled on our Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships. We specialise in five disciplines at present: software development, data analytics, tech consultancy, cyber security and business analysis, working with a wide range of SMEs and corporate organisations such as PwC, Bank of America, Deloitte, Clearscore, Just Eat, Capita, MHRA, Booking,com and Salesforce.
At present 38% of our learners are female, 51% are from ethnic minority backgrounds and 50% come from low-income households compared to national averages of c. 20%.

KEY ASPECTS OF THE ROLE & MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Learner Experience and Inclusion
●Lead student voice and engagement initiatives, delivering a dynamic programme of assemblies, enrichment activities and student-led opportunities.
●Coordinate weekly enrichment clubs and lunchtime activities to enhance student participation and wellbeing.
●Build positive relationships with students, parents and carers to create an inclusive and supportive college environment.
●Support the implementation of the college’s inclusion strategy, ensuring high standards of student support and participation.
●Facilitate student forums, surveys and focus groups, working closely with curriculum teams to strengthen learner engagement.
II. Student Finance and Administration
●Administer student bursaries and financial support, providing guidance to students and responding to learner and parent enquiries.

IV. Pastoral Support and Personal Development

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/Qualifications
●GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
●Level 3 qualification in Education, Youth Work, Social Care, Student Services, Business Administration, or a related subject.
●Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to attendance or learner support.
DESIRABLE
●Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas, education, youth and community work, sociology, health and social care.
