We work side by side with some of the most vulnerable children and young people in society and reach out to those who have missed the support they need. About the Role

You will:

• Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
• Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.
• You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people with disabilities.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.

The Role

In this role you will be:

· Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.

· Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.

· Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.

· Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.

· Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.

· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.

About You

· You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.

· You will be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.

· You will be able to show empathy and be able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty.

· It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products

5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help us address this neglected area of global health? 

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address over 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child. 

With 142 Member Societies made up of anaesthesiologists in 151 countries, the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is uniquely placed to influence these inequalities and help ensure universal access to safe surgery and safe anaesthesia.

As Governance Manager you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, professional, and effective governance service across the Federation and associated entities. You will work closely with our CEO, Governance & Programmes Officer, Board and other volunteers and leaders as required to deliver a number of key governance activities. This includes virtual and in-person meetings of the WFSA Board, Council, and General Assembly.

You will contribute to the expanding governance functions of the Federation family, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving organisational efficiency, and enhancing leadership communication and collaboration. There may also be a degree of mentoring and support for some of our smaller Member Societies wishing to improve their own governance functions. 

The role necessitates building effective working relationships across WFSA, including with Board, Council and Committee members, as well as the Secretariat (what we call our staff team).

The Young Carers Lead will take responsibility for coordinating and delivering our young carers programme. This includes running two weekly sessions – one for ages 5–10 and another for ages 11–18 – with the support of our skilled sessional staff and colleagues.

The role involves a mix of face-to-face and online sessions, designed to meet the needs of young carers and to help us deliver on our strategic objectives:

• Enhancing life outside of caring: organising engaging weekly activities where young people can connect, have fun, and build friendships - from creative workshops and games nights to social activities - alongside occasional special events like beach outings, and our annual Christmas party.

• Supporting potential: tackling the educational inequalities faced by young carers, including university visits and skills-based workshops.

• Promoting health and wellbeing: working with partners to provide sports, fitness and mindfulness activities.

• Recognising and celebrating young carers: coordinating awareness-raising initiatives in schools, GP surgeries and the wider community, while celebrating national young carers events.

Safeguarding responsibilities of the post holder include:

• Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment in all sessions.

• Maintaining professional boundaries and appropriate relationships with young people.

• Recognising and responding to safeguarding concerns, following organisational policy and procedure.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

Job Title: Support Mentor (Nights)

Location: Latimer Road, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) - Walking distance from Latimer Road underground station (Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines). Please note that unfortunately this service does not have step free access

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 21:00 - 09:00 on a 6 week rolling rota which includes at least one day shift per week, weekends, and bank holidays. 

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants.
• Be a present member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who’ve experienced homelessness and may have complex needs. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs. What are we looking for:

• Understanding of the needs of those who have faced homelessness and have various complex needs including mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency.
• Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role.
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents.
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs.
• Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback.

About the role

As Deputy Service Manager, you’ll support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery. You’ll be a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled and confident in their roles. This service supports residents who have experienced long term street homelessness with challenges such as mental health issues, substance use and alcohol dependency. You’ll help create a positive, supportive environment where both staff and residents can thrive and residents can work towards recovery and greater independence.

You will be working within a 24 hour service which provides person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

• Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service.
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed.
• Property and housing management, ensuring accommodation standards, timely maintenance and reporting.
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management.
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
• Striving to ensure excellence and quality in our service delivery.

About you

We're looking for someone who’s driven to provide high quality, person centred support to staff, colleagues, residents and participants. Working closely with the Director of Finance & Resources, the role holder will support the organisation in budgeting, forecasting, and year-end preparation. They will also contribute to strategic planning and performance monitoring alongside the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

• Experience in business planning, performance management, or impact reporting 
• Strong IT skills, particularly with accounting software and Excel
• Understanding of charity finance and accounting practices
• Strong understanding of charity law, governance best practices, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication, minute-taking, and document management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
