DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Work with the Community and Events Manager to implement Challengers Community and Events income strategy to a high standard.

·Working with the team to plan and deliver Challengers own events and external events including the marketing plan, supporter recruitment, supplier relationships, logistics, budgeting, communications, stewardship pre-event then on the day event management and post-event review.

·Cultivate, develop and manage effective relationships and partnerships with a range of community groups and supporters, including working with new, existing or lapsed donors and organisations to foster long-term Challengers, supporters.

·Support fundraisers in their DIY fundraising and development of opportunities for supporters to fundraise. Monitor online fundraising, through supporting those raising funds, to creating and maintaining clear income and communication records.

·Provide a high standard of stewardship for community and event supporters, by supporting their fundraising and wider journey and thanking them appropriately.

·Represent Challengers through public communications such as meetings, presentations and disability awareness workshops to existing and potential donors, ensuring the image of Challengers is represented correctly and in line with current policies, the vision and The Challengers Approach which is based on the Social Model of Disability.

·Support the wider Challengers Team with the delivery of fundraising events and meeting supporters in the community including some direct work on the event day which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.

We need an events manager who is adept at managing projects and events, working with our fundraisers and encouraging our supporters to get involved in our events such as our annual trek, the prestigious Care Sector Ball, and all the other events we’re involved in. The right person will have the confidence and persistence it takes to persuade, cajole, prod and encourage fundraisers to do as much as they can to raise funds for us. You need to be proficient at managing the admin that goes with events, including using fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse to engage with fundraisers and provide regular reports on the income raised. We will also need you to organize hotel, travel, conference arrangements for the team.

You must be based in England, to help us keep travel costs down as much as possible. The role is home based, with travel to fundraising events, conferences and network meetings, and with travel every 10 weeks or so to central London for team meetings.

 You must be a determined self-reliant professional though also a team player, to effectively coordinate and execute events and other activities, and be passionate about events management and fundraising to enable us to raise as much money as possible for the charity. 

Skills & Qualifications:

• Well developed interpersonal skills, particularly around negotiation, persuasion, motivational and collaborative attributes
• Experience of managing fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse

If so, St Giles has an exciting opportunity for an Outreach Worker to join our team and contribute to the delivery of the ‘rescue’ element of our County Lines Specialist Support Service which will come through via our Out of Hours Advice Service – this is a specialist telephone advice to professionals working with young people who are either involved in or at risk of county lines exploitation.

You will provide an immediate safeguarding response, supporting children and young people back to London when they are arrested outside of area, utilising the reachable moment to provide meaningful intervention to young people at risk of exploitation, plus provide follow up support once the young person has returned to their home region, which will include one-to-one and telephone contact.

We will also rely on you to produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, and to develop and maintain relationships with both referral agencies, including police, YOTs, Integrated Offender Management, Prison/Young Offender institutions, and local authorities, ensuring a steady flow of appropriate referrals onto the project. Delivering a holistic support service which includes social and housing support, education, training and employment options, benefits work, and debt advice, is also a key element of the role.  

It is vital that you are able to commit to evening and some weekend working, in line with our out of hour rota.

What we are looking for

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team and of using support plans
• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people and of assessing risk and implementing safety procedures relating to children involved in or at risk of violence or exploitation
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Solihull Integrated Addiction Service (SIAS) is a partnership between four organisations jointly responsible for the delivery of the drug, alcohol, homelessness, and gambling services, in the Borough of Solihull. We offer services for adults who use or are affected by substance use, homelessness, and gambling.

Your challenge? As a Hospital Complex Needs Practitioner, you will be working with clients within UHB hospital primarily Heartlands/Solihull hospital and various other settings in the community. You will be supporting clients in addressing their substance needs and liaising with medical professionals on the wards within the hospital and in the community. We are looking for someone who can complete both brief and psychosocial interventions and hold a caseload.

You need to be able to work independently and will be multi-agency working, working with HCAs to Consultants daily. You will need to be able to deliver training in person and online and attend meetings and feed back in meetings associated with the hospital.

We are looking for an energetic and confident self-starter with a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse and housing and homelessness field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. Job description

Programme delivery:

• Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes, including Pride Groups, School Talks and School Diversity Week 
• Manage the administration of Education Programmes 
• Act as a first point of contact for schools on our programmes, answering questions, sharing new resources and encouraging participation. This includes engaging with new schools to increase our networks and managing a busy inbox 
• Engage new schools to increase our networks, including representing the charity at conferences and events 
• Maintain good relationships with school contacts, lead on liaising with school staff to confirm bookings, monitoring invoices, membership and renewals
• Work collaboratively across teams to manage logistics and ensure the smooth running of Just Like Us programmes throughout the academic year. 
• Support the delivery of our education programmes, including delivering talks, and training for teachers and other education stakeholders on LGBT+ issues
• Support with the creation and development of education resources 
• Assist the monitoring and evaluation of programmes by distributing surveys, collecting case studies and providing analysis of data obtained to evidence our impact
• Support our marketing and communication initiatives, writing emails and monitoring open rates
• Assist with the maintenance of our online portals of resources for school staff and the online school staff networks 
• Support programme effectiveness by streamlining internal workflows and procedures

• Collaborate with colleagues in our Communications, Development and Education to deliver our charitable purpose

• Alongside the senior leadership team, support the development and implementation of DEI strategies to ensure the organisation's programmes and workplace practices are inclusive and reflect the diverse communities it serves.

About the role 

This is an exciting new post in the Communications Team at Glass Door. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role will support the delivery of a new paid & organic digital marketing strategy, working closely & collaboratively with both the Comms & Fundraising Teams, as well as co-lead on the delivery of a new website. 

Through this role, we will ensure that all our existing supporters are actively communicated with and that we are regularly engaging with a range of new supporters through a unique & tailored approach.

What you will do as part of our team 

Marketing:  

• Work with all internal stakeholders to develop digital marketing campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels delivering against KPI’s for income, campaigning and brand awareness. 

• Co-manage delivery of multiple/ congruent campaigns, appeals & events to attract & engage new supporters - often working alongside key members of other teams including fundraising, operations and advocacy teams. 

• Co-lead on the project management & delivery of a new website

• Work collaboratively with the Digital Comms Officer to ensure all content is optimised for multiple purpose/platforms and in line with our brand guidelines 

• Contribute creative ideas to generate content for campaigns, news stories, blogs and social media 

• Oversee development and delivery of quarterly e-newsletters. Assist colleagues with their email marketing to ensure on brand and in line with overall digital calendar 

• Work closely with the Individual Giving Officer to run email marketing campaigns - including audience specific segmented email journeys

• Work closely with the Community & Corporate fundraising colleagues to ensure content and digital journeys are meeting their needs through an integrated marketing approach

Monitor impact 

• Monitor the impact of paid & organic marketing campaigns to report on key KPI’s and metrics. Using tools within social media platforms and Google analytics. 

• Work closely & collaboratively with the Digital Comms Officer to ensure all conversions of paid promotion are tracked effectively & efficiently 

• Analyse marketing journeys for collaborative Fundraising deliverables – including campaigns & appeals and create monthly reports to share success of conversions 

• Lead on the moderation and tracking of website usage 

• Lead on the evaluation of social media and online reach, create monthly reports, and assist with evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns & appeals 

• Lead on the monitoring and track Google ads & analytics 

• Monitor and follow trends within digital and innovation to improve the organisation’s digital presence and activities 

Strategy 

• Support the creation & delivery of the digital audit of GD web & socials 

• Support the creation & delivery of the GD Communications Strategy – specifically the digital marketing strategy 

• Support the Fundraising Team’s strategic promotion objectives of campaigns, appeals & challenge events

Other

• Attend and participate in relevant team meetings, and other ad hoc meetings when necessary 

• Undertake other ad hoc tasks as directed, such as assistance on Glass Door events and fundraising & challenge events
