About the role

We’re looking for an experienced videographer and photographer, with strong technical skills, to join our small but ambitious creative team. You’ll have a good understanding of how to capture stories and share voices in a creative and powerful way, while being able to take projects from concept to completion.

You’ll be motivated, driven and passionate about capturing the voices of children and young people with cancer and the work that we do at Young Lives vs Cancer. No two days will look the same, from photographing a fundraising event to capturing an interview with a family at one of our Homes from Home. We’re looking for someone who can make the most of any opportunity to gather content which could be used across social media, our website, in presentations and pitches or in printed materials.

The role-holder will also take responsibility for keeping our content library up to date and gathering and recording consent as they go. We need someone who is highly organised and able to manage their own time and diary – this is a varied and busy role which will work with many teams across the organisation.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Working with the Brand and Creative Manager on incoming briefs from across the organisation and deliver creative solutions which fulfil objectives and consider audience
• Storyboarding and co-ordinating shoots while always prioritising the voices of children and young people with cancer and their families 
• Creating a wide range of high-quality audio and visual content that meets the needs of the organisation and harnesses the power of voice and storytelling 
• Supporting the social media team with regular post-production work on user-generated content for TikTok and Instagram (for example, editing, adding captions etc.) 
• Adhering to our brand guidelines and support the Brand and Creative Manager in continuing to evolve and apply our visual identity and tone of voice work to photography and videography projects

The Access is Justice Foundation is seeking a Grants Officer who will join our Grants Team to provide ongoing administrative, operational, and data management support for our grant making activity, working alongside others in the Grants Team. Supplementary Schools Support Officer

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join Young Hammersmith & Fulham and support a five-year collaborative initiative between Young Hammersmith & Fulham and Young Ealing Foundation, focused on strengthening supplementary schools across both boroughs. The Supplementary Schools Support Officer will provide practical support to supplementary schools, helping to improve educational outcomes for young people from diverse communities, preserve cultural heritage and mother-tongue language education, and create a thriving network of supplementary schools that share best practices and resources.

• Line Manager: Membership and Sector Development Manager
• Salary: £30,000 pro rata (16 hours per week - approximately £12,000 per annum)

Key Responsibilities

Programme Management and Support

• Conduct regular site visits to supplementary schools across both boroughs (approximately 8 hours in each borough per week)

About the Project

This is a five-year collaborative initiative between the Young Hammersmith & Fulham and the Young Ealing Foundation to support supplementary schools across both boroughs. The project has two main components:

1. A grants programme providing £50,000 annually (£25,000 per borough) to support supplementary schools, with an average grant of £3,000 per school.

2. A dedicated Supplementary Schools Support Officer working around 16 hours per week, who will offer practical support to schools.

The project aims to enhance the capacity and sustainability of supplementary schools, improve educational outcomes for young people from diverse communities, preserve cultural heritage and mother-tongue language education, foster a vibrant network of supplementary schools, and strengthen links between supplementary provision and mainstream education.

Launched in 2024, Making Waves is our flagship one-to-one music-making programme designed for people at risk of offending or those leaving prison. Over 10 sessions, participants work with a professional producer in our private studio to create, record, and release their own music, building confidence and gaining new skills along the way. Alongside music-making, participants can also gain a King’s Trust qualification in Personal Development and Employability Skills, receive tailored mentoring from Trailblazers to support them into employment, and join our alumni programme for live performance opportunities, industry masterclasses, and ongoing support.

The Programme Coordinator is a new role within the Finding Rhythms team. Based on the success of the Making Waves programme over the last year, we now are in the process of expansion - with plans to increase delivery and engage more participants. The Programme Coordinator fulfills an essential role to support successful expansion of the programme whilst maintaining maximum impact for participants and partners.

To be successful in the role, you will be a highly motivated and proactive individual. You will support the day-to-day running of the programme on site, providing administrative support, and being the first point of contact for programme participants. You will have a person-centred approach, empathy and patience, alongside excellent attention to detail and an ability to think ahead. You will be passionate about music’s ability to transform lives.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

REFERRALS AND ON-BOARDING
● Processing a high volume of referrals of participants onto the programme, in a time-effective manner, ensuring all essential information is gathered and recorded
● Communicating regularly with participants and referral partners on the status and timeframe of their place on the programme
● Responding to general enquiries about the programme and distributing relevant information
● Encouraging participants to attend including identifying issues and providing solutions
● Briefing participants in the lead up and throughout the duration of the programme
● Being the on site point of liaison for the programme

PROGRAMME COORDINATION
● Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and processed
● Updating the musician and Programme Manager with key information in the lead up to sessions and on the day
● Liaising with partnering organisation Trailblazers Mentors and participants to organise mentoring sessions on-site and online
● Ensuring the studio is clean, tidy, and correctly equipped
● Ensuring studio ‘rules’ are adhered to and sessions run smoothly, flagging any issues to the Programme Manager
● Supporting the Programme Manager with the alumni programme including the organisation of live performance events and industry masterclasses

OUTREACH AND COMMUNICATIONS
● Organising and attending outreach and taster sessions across multiple locations (some of which will take place in prisons)
● Being the main point of contact for participants and alumni, sending reminders and general information about upcoming events
● Supporting on organisation and coordination of Finding Rhythms events
● Taking photographs for social media, sharing ‘success stories’ and case studies

GENERAL
● Ad hoc tasks as required, as Finding Rhythms is a small organisation, flexibility is required in every role so we can help and support each other wherever necessary

About the Role

This is an exciting new role which will help the Methodist Church in Britain to embed in the life of churches its commitment to be justice-seeking. 

In 2024, the Church adopted a Strategy to embed the Methodist Conference’s Justice-Seeking Church Report in local churches, across the Connexional Team and throughout the life of Methodism. 

The Justice-Seeking Church Officer will shape and develop this work across all levels of the Church in creative and innovative ways, identifying opportunities and responding to challenges.  They will strengthen leadership for justice across churches, and enable collaboration across programmes and issues. They will enable theological reflection and will lead on shaping the vital emerging work around participation of people with lived experience of poverty.

You will be a member of the Justice Team but work collaboratively with many others. You will also be part of the wider Mission Team, playing a key role in the implementing its strategy in response to Our Calling and the Methodist Way of Life.

In this post, you will focus on the following priorities:

• Developing and embedding key areas of the Justice-Seeking Church strategy in churches and the Methodist Connexional Team
• Strengthening leadership in social justice and social action
• Developing opportunities for faith formation and theological engagement
• Developing new work around the leadership and participation of people with lived experience of poverty

About You

The ideal candidate will need the following:

• Experience in building influence and motivating wide a range of people and groups
• Effective and strategic communication skills
• Experience of enabling people to reflect theologically on justice issues
• Knowledge of and a passion for justice

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including inputting and reconciling timesheets, calculating holiday pay, and updating payroll records.
• Support year-end activities such as PSA and P11D calculations and submissions, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations and internal policies.
• Manage pension contributions and submissions, ensuring accurate data uploads to pension portals and compliance with scheme rules and statutory requirements.
• Administer statutory and occupational sick pay in line with current legislation and company policies, with a strong understanding of Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) rules and accurate processing of sickness absences.
• Maintain payroll data integrity through regular system updates, data cleansing, and the implementation of necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
• Deliver a high level of service by responding promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders.
• Partner with the Payroll Manager and Finance team on ad hoc projects, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Foster strong working relationships across departments to support seamless payroll operations and effective communication.
• Commit to working one additional day per month during payroll processing periods to meet operational demands.
• Provide cover for the Payroll Manager during periods of absence, contributing to the continuity of critical payroll cycles and strategic projects.

Education & Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent with good results in Maths & English

• 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
