Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to lead all aspects of fundraising and development during a 12-month maternity cover period.  As a key member of the Management Team, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive capital fundraising campaigns, deliver the Trust’s Arts Council England NPO Consortium, and expand core fundraising activities that support our charitable aims of Preservation and Learning.  You'll also play a vital role in developing new streams of charitable giving including corporate partnerships, individual giving, and legacy campaigns.

This is an exciting opportunity to support shaping the future sustainability of one of the UK’s most significant heritage sites. This is a newly developed Careers Advisor role is funded by the North East Combined Authority and forms a core part of our strategy to improve employment outcomes for women from Black and racially minoritised communities who are not currently in work or education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Careers Advisor to rebuild and lead an impactful careers service within the Angelou Centre.

Many of the women we support have English as an additional language and face multiple barriers to employment. They are survivors who are on a journey to rebuilding their independence and therefore may require additional training support with household budgeting, life skills or understanding the public transport system amongst other things. Your work will directly support women to take confident, supported steps into training, volunteering and work often for the first time in the UK.

This role combines direct client work with strategic development with support from the Senior Administrator. You’ll be responsible for managing individual development plans and setting SMART goals with our service users, building local opportunity networks, and helping to develop a robust data recording system to demonstrate outcomes and impact.

 Key Responsibilities

 Careers Support and Development Plans

• Deliver one-to-one and small group CIAG (Careers Information, Advice and Guidance) to support women into meaningful employment, volunteering or further learning.
• Develop and maintain individual development plans of up to 40 women at any given time, creating personalised career and life action plans and reviewing progress regularly.
• Motivate and empower women to engage with activities that build their confidence and increase employability

Local Knowledge and Opportunity Development

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment, training, and volunteering opportunities across the North East.
• Develop relationships with local employers, training providers, and community organisations to create inclusive routes to work.
• Signpost clients to external agencies for additional support, such as skills-building or mental health support, where appropriate.

System Development and Data Collection

• Co-develop and maintain a robust case management and data tracking system to record outcomes, identify patterns, and highlight barriers.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with funding, GDPR and organisational requirements.
• Support the department in building evidence to demonstrate long-term impact.

Evaluation, Research and Sustainability

• Support internal reporting by providing accurate caseload updates, anonymised case studies, and emerging needs analysis.

Experience & Skills

• Experience providing career advice to adults, ideally those facing multiple and complex barriers.

• The Head of Fundraising role sits within the Senior Leadership team at Snowdrop and is responsible to contribute to the overall leadership, strategic management and continued development of the organisation

You will work in our Aspire Team to further develop specialist youth work provision in Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire, supporting young people’s emotional well-being and helping them to overcome challenge and develop social skills. You will join our team of youth workers and volunteers to develop and deliver weekly social groups, shared interest groups, one-to-one work, family support, school-based alternative education, and trips and residential experiences. Duties include:

• Build positive relationships with autistic children and young people through different programme activities.
• Support individuals making the transition from primary to secondary school, and from secondary school to post 16/18 options, giving them the best possible opportunity of staying in education, employment or training that is fulfilling and helps them reach their potential.
• Work with others in the team to expand the provision and develop new youth clubs in specific geographical areas based on identified needs.

About the role

As a Children’s Residential Worker, you will directly look after children and young people who have complex emotional and mental health needs due to trauma, loss and other adverse experiences.

You will be required to support children to regulate and understand their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged 12 – 17 years old on admission to the Children’s Home).

Key Responsibilities

Support Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in the South of Tyne and Wear area.

Position: S11299 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, South of Tyne and Wear. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £27,400 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Contract: This is a fixed term contract for 9 months. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2027

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

• A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
• Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
• Ability to use basic Microsoft systems.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

The post holder will offer immediate signposting support and offer additional one to one support via a home visit if appropriate. To be considered for this role you will have experience of working or volunteering in a Health and Social Care setting - whilst you don’t necessarily need to have experience of supporting carers previously, you must have demonstrable experience of supporting and assessing the needs of vulnerable people. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and credibly with a wide range of people in a wide range of settings and will be confident establishing relationships and working alongside a variety of professionals. Essential Criteria:

Expectations of the facilitator includes a range of the below skills (but is not limited to these either and we’d work with the successful facilitator in developing a program that suits their strengths).

• Competent in the instruction of physical exercises
• Knowledge or experience of supporting adults with additional needs and the different approaches to communication, engagement and activities that maximise benefit
• Be able to motivate service users to take on new challenges (ranging from learning to ride a bike, engaging with exercise for the first time to bigger adventures in the outdoors)
• Can mend and maintain bikes
• A knowledge of areas in the Northeast that would be suitable for outdoor pursuits including hikes, nature walks and bike rides.
• Can facilitate activities along our coastline including such activities as paddle boarding, kayaking, and doing cold water dips.
• A knowledge of nature and wildlife and an infectious enthusiasm that can be shared with service users for getting into nature
• Adaptability for times of inclement weather to keep our service users entertained and engaged with indoor activities.
• Willing to work flexibly
• Comfortable driving a van/minibus
• Take advantage of the latest technology to support the role both internally and in reaching out to stakeholders within the community (smart device use, location sharing, using GPS, planning sessions using Microsoft Office packages and communicating comprehensively through Microsoft Outlook and Teams.

About Us

The MSA Trust is a small national charity with a large reach, offering vital support to people affected by multiple system atrophy, a devastating neuro degenerative disease, and funding much needed research into the cause and cure.

About the role

The post-holder provides essential bookkeeping and basic accounts support to this small but growing charity. The job entails processing all non-salary income and expenditure, ensuring that the accounts are reconciled on a regular basis. Monitoring income and expenditure against budgets and developing forecasts and budgets for projects?

The post holder is expected to be proactive, self-motivated and show initiative and flexibility, taking responsibility for checking their own work. For the right person this will be a rewarding and fulfilling role. Working as a member of the team the post-holder will need to work closely with the Chief Executive and the heads of departments in the preparation of the annual budget, the production of monthly management accounts, accounting for restricted funds and monitoring financial performance.  The organisation uses Raisers Edge as it’s fundraising database and uses Xero online accounting system for the monthly accounts. The post holder will need to become familiar with both.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure the accounting software is up to date and accurate.

· Accounting for other income received via the bank statement and inputting onto Raisers Edge

· Process purchase and supplier invoices (ensuring compliance with authorisation procedures).

· Process staff, volunteer and beneficiary expense claims.

· Download monthly reports from third party fundraising platforms, CAF and Stripe or PayPal websites to ensure that donations are correctly allocated.

· Preparing management accounts and restricted fund summaries for Trustee meetings

· Monthly bank reconciliations

· Monitoring use of MSA Trust credit cards and ensuring payments are accounted and entered onto XERO correctly.

· Complete Quarterly gift aid claims

· Phasing the annual budget for management accounts purposes

· Working with the fundraisers and other staff to monitor restricted fund expenditure.

· Dealing with finance enquiries from colleagues and external agencies.

Other Duties

· To assist the CEO with preparation of information for finance subcommittee.

· Assist with minutes for Finance subcommittee

· To ensure all financial compliance is met.

· Manage the finance mailbox

To undertake any other reasonable activity in line with the responsibilities of the post as requested by the Chief Executive, Trustees or other senior staff.
