Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to lead all aspects of fundraising and development during a 12-month maternity cover period.  As a key member of the Management Team, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive capital fundraising campaigns, deliver the Trust’s Arts Council England NPO Consortium, and expand core fundraising activities that support our charitable aims of Preservation and Learning.  You'll also play a vital role in developing new streams of charitable giving including corporate partnerships, individual giving, and legacy campaigns.

This is an exciting opportunity to support shaping the future sustainability of one of the UK’s most significant heritage sites. What You’ll Be Doing:  

You’ll lead our Fundraising Team and line manage our dynamic and engaged fundraisers, supporting them from planning inspiring activities and events to supporting local fundraisers and volunteers all whilst upholding Snowdrop’s values and fundraising best practice.

• This person will take the lead in delivering the next 12 months of Snowdrop’s fundraising strategy, driving forward strategic development, implementing learning and further developing the fundraising team to deliver on its fundraising ambitions in line with the wider organisational strategy.
• The Head of Fundraising role sits within the Senior Leadership team at Snowdrop and is responsible to contribute to the overall leadership, strategic management and continued development of the organisation
• Leading on creating strategies for attracting new corporate donors and partnerships alongside driving forward our well-established corporate volunteering programme
• This person will work alongside and support Snowdrop’s trusts and grants fundraiser and support on large grant applications where necessary 
• Line management of the Donor Relations and Communications Manager and Community and Events Fundraising Manager, alongside the supervision of two consultants

This is a newly developed Careers Advisor role is funded by the North East Combined Authority and forms a core part of our strategy to improve employment outcomes for women from Black and racially minoritised communities who are not currently in work or education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Careers Advisor to rebuild and lead an impactful careers service within the Angelou Centre.

Many of the women we support have English as an additional language and face multiple barriers to employment. They are survivors who are on a journey to rebuilding their independence and therefore may require additional training support with household budgeting, life skills or understanding the public transport system amongst other things. Your work will directly support women to take confident, supported steps into training, volunteering and work often for the first time in the UK.

This role combines direct client work with strategic development with support from the Senior Administrator. You’ll be responsible for managing individual development plans and setting SMART goals with our service users, building local opportunity networks, and helping to develop a robust data recording system to demonstrate outcomes and impact.

About the role

As a Children’s Residential Worker, you will directly look after children and young people who have complex emotional and mental health needs due to trauma, loss and other adverse experiences.

You will be required to support children to regulate and understand their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged 12 – 17 years old on admission to the Children’s Home).

You will have a key role in making sure our children are safe and happy. You will also be required to work collaboratively with key professionals to ensure that information is recorded and shared appropriately, as well as to enable children to receive the multi-agency support that they require.

If applying for the Day position, you will be required to do sleep-ins paid at £50 each.

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in the South of Tyne and Wear area.

Position: S11299 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, South of Tyne and Wear. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

The Learning Disability & Neurodiversity Carers Service Coordinator role sits within the Adult Carers Team and supports carers from the age of 18 upwards who look after a family member, friend or neighbour living with a learning disability or neurodiversity. The Service Coordinator will act as a first point of contact in a busy, fast paced environment responding to enquiries and referrals from both carers and professionals. The post holder will offer immediate signposting support and offer additional one to one support via a home visit if appropriate. The Service Coordinator is responsible for promoting, managing and developing a programme of peer support groups and will work collaboratively with carers and the Adult Carers Team Leader to identify opportunities for service development and the creation of new groups to increase our reach.

To be considered for this role you will have experience of working or volunteering in a Health and Social Care setting - whilst you don’t necessarily need to have experience of supporting carers previously, you must have demonstrable experience of supporting and assessing the needs of vulnerable people. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and credibly with a wide range of people in a wide range of settings and will be confident establishing relationships and working alongside a variety of professionals. Facilitate activities using Key Enterprises in Benton as a base, creating a space for internal activities.

Maintain and service a fleet of bicycles (including tandems and accessible trikes) and lead accessible bike rides, encouraging active travel.

Support colleagues across Key Enterprises to deliver a service based on he principles of 5 ways to wellbeing.

Essential Criteria:

Expectations of the facilitator includes a range of the below skills (but is not limited to these either and we’d work with the successful facilitator in developing a program that suits their strengths).

• Competent in the instruction of physical exercises
• Knowledge or experience of supporting adults with additional needs and the different approaches to communication, engagement and activities that maximise benefit
• Be able to motivate service users to take on new challenges (ranging from learning to ride a bike, engaging with exercise for the first time to bigger adventures in the outdoors)
• Can mend and maintain bikes
• A knowledge of areas in the Northeast that would be suitable for outdoor pursuits including hikes, nature walks and bike rides.
• Can facilitate activities along our coastline including such activities as paddle boarding, kayaking, and doing cold water dips.
• A knowledge of nature and wildlife and an infectious enthusiasm that can be shared with service users for getting into nature
• Adaptability for times of inclement weather to keep our service users entertained and engaged with indoor activities.

• Comfortable driving a van/minibus

About Us

The MSA Trust is a small national charity with a large reach, offering vital support to people affected by multiple system atrophy, a devastating neuro degenerative disease, and funding much needed research into the cause and cure.

About the role

The post-holder provides essential bookkeeping and basic accounts support to this small but growing charity. The job entails processing all non-salary income and expenditure, ensuring that the accounts are reconciled on a regular basis. Monitoring income and expenditure against budgets and developing forecasts and budgets for projects?

The post holder is expected to be proactive, self-motivated and show initiative and flexibility, taking responsibility for checking their own work. For the right person this will be a rewarding and fulfilling role. Working as a member of the team the post-holder will need to work closely with the Chief Executive and the heads of departments in the preparation of the annual budget, the production of monthly management accounts, accounting for restricted funds and monitoring financial performance.  The organisation uses Raisers Edge as it’s fundraising database and uses Xero online accounting system for the monthly accounts. The post holder will need to become familiar with both.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure the accounting software is up to date and accurate.

· Accounting for other income received via the bank statement and inputting onto Raisers Edge

· Process purchase and supplier invoices (ensuring compliance with authorisation procedures).

· Process staff, volunteer and beneficiary expense claims.

· Download monthly reports from third party fundraising platforms, CAF and Stripe or PayPal websites to ensure that donations are correctly allocated.

· Preparing management accounts and restricted fund summaries for Trustee meetings

· Monthly bank reconciliations

· Monitoring use of MSA Trust credit cards and ensuring payments are accounted and entered onto XERO correctly.

· Complete Quarterly gift aid claims

· Phasing the annual budget for management accounts purposes

· Working with the fundraisers and other staff to monitor restricted fund expenditure.

· Dealing with finance enquiries from colleagues and external agencies.

Other Duties

· To assist the CEO with preparation of information for finance subcommittee.

· Assist with minutes for Finance subcommittee

PERSON SPECIFICATION  

Latin Link is looking for a natural storyteller with an active Christian faith to inspire and engage the church across Britain and Ireland to step into the story of God’s global mission. You will plan, develop and deliver an innovative communications programme across digital and print media.  ACCOUNTABILITY 

The Communications Manager will report to the Leadership Team. Latin Link seeks to ensure that every member of our team has opportunities for developing and learning new skills relevant to their work.

TIME COMMITMENT AND FLEXIBILITY  

We see this as essentially a full-time role, but we are open to a variety of flexible working arrangements to help the right person achieve a good work/life balance. The expectation is that the Communications Manager will be in the Reading office at least one day a week, with the flexibility to work from home the rest of the time.

SALARY  

The full-time salary for this role will be £28,500 per annum. All salaries are reviewed on an annual basis with any increase made from 1st April.

The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period, after which there is three months’ written notice period for both parties. Holiday entitlement for full time staff is 28 working days per year including all bank and public holidays. In addition to this we usually close for the period between Christmas Day and New Year.
