This role sits at the heart of that ambition.
You will lead the fundraising behind two critical components of the 10,000 Homes programme:
• Securing income from the public to build and sustain a central Centre of Expertise (mobilisation team), supporting local YMCAs to develop and deliver housing projects.
• Raising capital from individual supporters, mid-level donors and major donors to grow a replenishing national fund that provides upfront investment to unlock housing developments across the federation.
At the centre of this is the 10,000 Homes Fund: a bold, housing-focused proposition that offers the public a clear and tangible way to support young people into safe, stable accommodation. You will be responsible for growing this proposition, ensuring it resonates strongly with supporters and inspires giving at all levels.
You will lead an integrated public fundraising approach, bringing together individual giving, mid-level and major donors into one compelling, housing-led narrative. A key part of the role will be translating a complex, federated model into a simple, emotional and compelling case for support that connects with people’s motivations to give.
We’ve established strong early foundations and are now ready to scale. This role offers the opportunity to take a high-potential public fundraising proposition to the next level -expanding its reach, deepening supporter engagement, and unlocking significant new income.

The role
As Assistant Head of Fundraising (Public Fundraising), you will lead and inspire a team of talented fundraisers, deputising for the Head of Fundraising and taking ownership of our most ambitious programmes:
The 10,000 Homes Fund driving forward our flagship proposition across individual giving, cash appeals and mid-level audiences.
Major Donors shaping the strategy for high-net-worth relationships, new giving circles and development boards.
RoomSponsor, YMCA’s flagship regular giving product, now in its third year of an ambitious growth strategy. You will oversee a unique partnership model across 45 local YMCAs, support the income distribution process, and see first-hand the impact of your work through a programme that directly supports young people with safe accommodation.
Legacies working with the Senior Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising to define and grow what is set to become a landmark legacy programme.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set direction, manage budgets, develop your team, while also being prepared to step into delivery when it matters most. You will balance strategic oversight with practical execution, ensuring programmes are both ambitious and deliverable.

George Watson’s College wishes to appoint a Senior Philanthropy Officer to lead the school’s individual giving and legacy fundraising initiatives, and support major programmes and campaigns. Develop strong relationships with donors and our alumni community to grow philanthropic income and long-term engagement.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual Giving
Lead the planning, execution and optimisation of individual giving efforts. Manage campaign setup, timelines, assets, and donor experience.
Monitor performance and analyse results to drive continuous improvement in participation, engagement, and revenue.
Collaborate with Admissions and Marketing, and other internal teams, to source and develop compelling content.
Along with the Head of Development, manage a fundraising communications calendar and play a leading role in content creation.
Collaborate with the Admissions and Marketing team to ensure website content, landing pages, and donation pages support digital giving goals.
Execute fundraising strategies in partnership with the Head of Development. Build, segment, code, and deploy emails to support giving campaigns and organisational priorities.
Manage a portfolio of donors linked to specific programmes and campaigns.
Legacies
Plan and deliver multi-channel legacy marketing campaigns (print, digital, events)
Build and maintain relationships with legacy pledgers and prospects
Deliver high-quality, sensitive stewardship to recognise and retain legacy supporters
Organise events and communications to engage legacy supporters
Produce compelling and sensitive legacy messaging and materials
Campaign/Programmes
Manage and grow the patrons programme, including recruitment, retention, and upgrades
Develop a clear donor journey, including benefits, communications, and recognition
Monitor performance against income targets and KPIs
Work in collaboration with Heads of the Creative Arts programmes to monitor and administer funds for maximum impact across the arts
Foundation Places and Enrichment Fund
Support impact reporting and administration of discrete aspects of our widening access programmes.
Manage application process to the Enrichment Fund, including managing enquiries, disbursements and liaison with Finance.
Any other duties related to these programmes as directed by senior staff.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Essential:
Relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrable experience in Individual Giving, Direct Marketing or Legacy fundraising, with an annual income return of 6+ figures
Proven track record of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns
Strong understanding of supporter journeys, acquisition and retention
Skilled in data analysis, performance tracking and forecasting
Proficiency with graphic design tools, experience with Canva would be an advantage.
Demonstrable experience with Raisers Edge, or similar CRM system
Ability to manage complex projects and programs and deliver to set KPI and timelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with content writing, brand voice, and digital fundraising best practices.
Ability to build and foster relationships across business functions.
Understanding of charity law, GDPR and best practices in fundraising
Commitment to high level of professional standards

The Head of Fundraising and Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving Bowel Research UK's fundraising strategies and audience engagement initiatives.
This position is responsible for embedding and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing the charity’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.

Experience across other income streams would be a huge benefit as the role leads all fundraising income streams, but experience in individual giving is essential.
The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream.

We’re seeking a Prospect Research Manager to join our collaborative Philanthropy and Partnerships team. This is an exciting new role in the team as we invest in building our high value pipelines across trusts, foundations, major donors and corporates.
We have worked with a consultant to lay the foundations for a new to the organisation prospect research function. About the role
We are looking for an exceptional & collaborative individual fundraiser to join the Philanthropy team at King’s College London, leading on fundraising for the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). You will benefit from a strong donor portfolio, opportunities to work on 7- and 8-figure gifts, and a good understanding of philanthropy from senior leadership within the Institute.
This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, securing and stewarding significant philanthropic gifts at the £50k to £5 million gift level, supporting senior stakeholders with their fundraising efforts, and championing the work and priorities of King’s and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience.
The team will play a crucial role in the delivery of the University’s ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for faculties, as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029.
We will build on our already successful fundraising to achieve ambitious new goals for philanthropy – creating strong partnerships across campus and with donors, to realise shared priorities and deliver strategic impact.
The successful candidate will work highly collaboratively with academic and professional service colleagues across King’s to secure significant philanthropic income to support student outcomes and drive world-leading teaching and research.

Study of the mind and human brain is one of the most exciting and important areas of advancing medical science, and the IoPPN is a leading centre for mental health and neuroscience research in Europe and the largest in the UK. Renowned for its high-quality research, it is the most cited research centre outside the US, and the second most cited in the world.
In partnership with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the largest mental health service provider in the UK, it enables the rapid translation of research into clinical practice that makes a difference to people’s lives and mental health every day. Research from the IoPPN has led to the creation of much needed therapies for some of the most severe mental disorders and changes in how governments around the world think about mental illness.
A strong understanding of philanthropy from leadership within the Institute, combined with world-leading research has made, and continues to make, an impact on how we understand, prevent and treat mental illness, neurological conditions and other conditions that affect the brain.
This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office & on IoPPN campus sites at Denmark Hill and London Bridge. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

The Prospect Development Team sits within the Supporter Management Team within Philanthropy & Partnerships department but works across the whole of Engagement & Fundraising. Primarily, the team supports the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships fundraising teams in their prospecting and fundraising strategies. The team’s role is to help colleagues understand their supporters at an individual level, but also to bring to the forefront the key trends and milestones in their journeys within the NSPCC. To deliver this, the Prospect Development Team offers prospect research, management and identification services. The team works with departments within the directorate on projects and initiatives which have the potential to further leverage major giving and corporate income.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Trusts and Foundations Lead, you would establish and maintain relationships with a wide portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations, and be responsible for securing both project-specific and core income.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Salary: £35,500 - £37,500 FTE, depending on experience. Salaries are paid on the last working day of each month by bank transfer and cover the period of the first of the month to the last day of the month.

Place of work: This role is home-based and will require a suitable home office working environment. SBP will provide a laptop and additional equipment as needed.
Travel: Attendance of team meetings held across Scotland will be required (typically two to three times per year), and the role may also involve occasional travel elsewhere within the UK. Travel expenses will be paid in accordance with SBP’s expenses policy. About the role
As our first dedicated Fundraising Officer, you'll work closely with our Partnerships & Development Manager and small income generation team, helping to grow and diversify the funding that sustains and scales our mission.
This is a hands-on, varied role with real scope to develop your fundraising career in a fast-growing charity. You'll support the income generation team with day-to-day fundraising activities across multiple income streams, with a focus on trusts and foundations alongside corporate partnerships, high net worth individuals and individual giving.

What we're looking for
We're looking for an ambitious, motivated fundraiser who is driven by GoodWork's mission and ready to take ownership of a varied and impactful role. For this role, we’re looking for someone with at least a year's experience in a charity fundraising team, with exposure to trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, high net worth, or community fundraising.
We work with a diverse group of young people from underserved communities. We particularly encourage applications from minoritised ethnic candidates and those who have lived experience relevant to our programme, particularly non-graduates and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
