About the role:
Dennis Handfield House is a 39-bed service within the Camden adult pathway, supporting men and women with multiple and complex needs. We’re recruiting Project Workers to join a skilled, multidisciplinary team including Complex Needs Workers, a Specialist Worker, Day Concierge, Night Team, and access to a Work and Learning Worker and Psychotherapist shared across SHP. Together, the team creates a supportive, purposeful environment where people are given the time, consistency and respect needed to move forward.
As a Project Worker, you’ll be a steady and trusted presence for people navigating mental and physical health challenges, substance use and experiences of the criminal justice system. You’ll hold a caseload, build meaningful relationships and deliver strengths-based, psychologically informed support that helps people sustain accommodation, access services and develop the confidence and skills to shape their own next steps. Your work will sit at the heart of the service, turning plans into progress and potential into real change.
This role is for someone who shows up with compassion, grit and belief in people’s potential, even on the hardest days. You’ll be trusted to use your judgement, work creatively and contribute your voice within a team that values learning and collaboration. About you:
- A good understanding of substance use is essential and an awareness of harm minimisation strategies and an understanding of a Strengths and Recovery model is desirable; a good understanding of the Cycle of Change.
- An understanding of the principles of risk and needs assessment, planning, goal setting, and reviewing.
- The sensitivity and flexibility to find ways to work with clients who may have a low level of engagement with the service.
- A level of numeracy, literacy and comprehension to do welfare benefit, rent and petty cash calculations, write letters, and analyse and extrapolate from written information.

About the role
Join us in building safer futures by giving a voice to male survivors of domestic abuse and strengthening professional awareness
This is a unique and rewarding role that combines direct survivor support, specialist partnership work, and awareness-raising in the community.
As part of our dedicated Domestic Abuse Service, you’ll focus on three main areas:
Supporting male survivors at standard and medium risk
- Provide one-to-one, trauma-informed support to men affected by domestic abuse.
- Complete risk assessments, safety plans and ongoing recovery-focused support.
- Help survivors build confidence, make safe choices and achieve long-term positive change.
Survivor support alongside the Your Choice Project (YCP)
- Work in line with Respect Standards, which ensure that survivors are supported while their partner or ex-partner attends the YCP behaviour change programme.
- Deliver specialist parallel support to male survivors, ensuring their voice, safety and wellbeing remain central.
- Collaborate closely with YCP colleagues to provide a balanced, holistic approach to safety and recovery.
Community outreach and awareness-raising
- Attend and run events across Nottinghamshire to connect directly with male survivors and the professionals who may encounter them.
- Deliver training and briefings to raise awareness of male survivors’ experiences and increase professional confidence in responding to them.
- Contribute to the development of innovative outreach strategies that challenge stigma and make services more visible and accessible to men.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in supporting people in crisis, ideally in domestic abuse or frontline services.
- Knowledgeable about the challenges and barriers faced by male survivors of abuse.
- Skilled in communication, problem-solving and building strong partnerships.
- Confident working with both survivors and professionals in community settings.
- Passionate about equality, inclusion and ending domestic abuse in all its forms.

As an interim Supervising Solicitor in Public Law, you will supervise and carry out CPAG’s public law legal aid cases, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will play an active role in managing CPAG’s legal practice and conduct high-profile public law litigation.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about using the law to advocate for the rights of, and directly improve the lives of, families in poverty. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor (E&W qualified) with experience of conducting public law litigation and legal aid (publicly funded) work. You will be able to supervise the casework of colleagues, such as CPAG’s junior or trainee solicitor(s) and welfare benefit advisers. You may have experience of working with clients in vulnerable situations or with additional needs, for example, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, disabled people or children and young people.
