We are looking to recruit a Community Development Officer in Stirling, to engage key partners and stakeholders in the region tailoring support, training, and education to create suicide safer communities.

What you will do:

Identify, develop and maintain effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide.

Proactively promote suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide.

Equip a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training, and education.

Deliver training and awareness raising products to a variety of groups including professionals, parents, young people, volunteers, and other trainers.

Contribute to the development and review of projects, and education and training products, in line with the strategic plan.

Contribute to and promote campaigns, training and opportunities as outlined in the Regional and Strategic Plans.

Represent the charity at events including conferences, panels, working groups and through media channels as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops, or educational activities.

A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience.

Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience.

Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme, or area of work.

The ability to travel to different locations across Scotland and the wider UK to attend meetings, events and deliver training.

Salary: £29,269 per annum (NALC SCP 18) progressing by increments to £32,076 per annum (NALC SCP 23)

Hours: 36 hours per week Location: Stirling Office with regular travel across Scotland

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a Lead Psychologist to lead, shape, and enhance psychological practices across the organisation. You will work closely with various teams across the organisation to foster the development and support of psychological interventions. 

The Social Interest Group is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and care to individuals of all ages facing a diverse array of psychological challenges in both mental and physical health realms. This encompasses adults within acute and forensic mental health community based services and residential community based accommodation, as well as people residing in their own homes, in the community and prisons. The spectrum of conditions and illnesses includes people with trauma, anxiety, depression, psychosis, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictions, learning disabilities, autism, Korsakoff syndrome, alcohol related brain damage, and challenges related to social isolation, family dynamics, and relationships. 

In this role, you will manage a team of psychologists, a clinical lead, mental health nurses, substance misuse teams, and therapeutic leads, as well as providing overall leadership, expertise, and direction to the organisation to bridge gaps in knowledge, experience, and skills!

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 - 5. You will be based in Central Office (Islington) but will regularly be based within any of our services across London, Brighton, Kent, Havering, Bedford, Luton, Nottingham, and Liverpool. Hybrid working is an option outside these service visits.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for a self-starter, who can proactively encourage and take leadership of all aspects of psychology for the organisation! You will hold an accreditation with HCPC and BPS (and/or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate your experience in developing clinical/forensic/counselling practices!

What we are looking for:

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counselling or Forensic Psychology from an accredited institution
• Full registration with BPS and as a Psychologist with the relevant regulatory body (e.g. HCPC)
• Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of assistant and trainee psychologists and/or other psychological therapy staff
• Previous experience of joint working with statutory, voluntary, and private sector agencies, social care, or criminal justice services
• Evidence of continuing professional development

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership to employees throughout the employee life cycle

ALAG (Asperger London Area Group) has been a registered charity since 2015.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:

You will be joining Women in Prison’s new fundraising team which secures funding from a range of sources including individual donors, corporate supporters, and charitable trusts and foundations. This role will set the foundations for Women in Prison’s ambitious fundraising plans leading on securing gifts from trusts and foundations and ensuring that all secured grants are well managed and effectively reported on. This is a varied and integral role providing administrative support to Arthritis Action’s Finance, Executive Management, Services Teams and Trustees, working under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

About Arthritis Action

Arthritis Action is the UK charity giving hands-on, practical help to improve the quality of life of people affected by arthritis. We offer an integrated self-management approach, which looks at both the physical and mental health impact of living with arthritis. We support people living with musculoskeletal conditions through healthy eating advice, mental health resources, pain management techniques, Online Groups, employment support, and exercise advice and resources. We also offer one-to-one nutritional consultations; access to clinical appointments with our network of osteopaths, physiotherapists, and acupuncturists; and a personalised pathway for goal setting, through our Membership, to help people take control of their arthritis and enjoy life to the full.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Customer Experience Administrator to join our friendly central team. You’ll help teachers and leaders across the sector to achieve their professional development goals, supporting them with account queries, event bookings, membership renewals and professional status advice. You’ll be making and taking calls and replying to emails, so you’ll pride yourself on your telephone manner, outstanding customer focus and attention to detail. Experience working with CRM systems would be an advantage but is not essential, as we’ll give you detailed training

We’re looking for someone with a passion for developing digital platforms! The role will be focused on removing barriers to digital engagement through ensuring our platforms are relevant, engaging and accessible.

Our digital platforms are a key strategic enabler for the Guild, from providing our website to showcase our brand story to our membership platform for our student volunteers to manage their societies and groups, how we use and develop our digital platforms is critical to our delivery. Working closely with the Digital Manager, the wider Marketing team, and Student Engagement teams, the Digital Platforms Coordinator will be delivering and improving our digital platforms approach to ensure that they meet the needs and expectations of our student community.

About the role

The London Library is planning a major, multi-year building project and is looking for a Senior Facilities Officer - Project Management to work within the Buildings and Facilities Management team to help support and deliver the project.

As part of a small, hands-on team, this new role will also support the Library’s maintenance and improvement programmes, arranging contractor works and providing liaison with colleagues across the Library. The post reports to the Buildings & Facilities Manager. Some weekend and out of hours working will be required.

About you

You will hold an appropriate formal qualification within a relevant discipline, with previous experience of facilities project management, preferably in the charity, cultural or not-for-profit sector. A proven background in either FM or managing numerous refurbishments and maintenance projects is essential, along with experience of working in construction and maintenance environments, understanding and compliance of H&S law and construction regulations.

Experienced in managing budgets and project finance, the ability to build client and stakeholder relationships using exceptional inter-personal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to achieving organisational goals on time, whilst working accurately and methodically, are all a must.

You are pleasant, approachable, welcoming, helpful, and responsive even under pressure, willing to turn a hand to whatever needs doing on occasion, with a flexible approach to working hours, including out of hours cover.

We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract to work across storytelling and engagement theme to deliver of all of Council’s strategic objectives ensuring that our communications reflect the Society’s values.

The Communications and Engagement Officer will contribute to and support the Communications and Engagement Manager in updating and editing all communications channels to support our aim to advance understanding of microbiology and champion the contribution made by microbiology, our members and their work in addressing global challenges.
