As the Service Manager you will be required to successfully apply for CQC registration for regulated activity and/or registered services within 6 months of appointment. Hertfordshire – Cheshunt and Welwyn Garden City

In this role, you’ll provide housing-related support to vulnerable adults, including those with a dual diagnosis of mental health conditions and substance misuse, helping them build confidence, resilience, and independence. As a Mental Health Support Worker, no two days will be the same. Your typical day will begin with a handover from a colleague to ensure continuity of support. You’ll start by checking in with a customer, followed by updates to their support plans and safety assessments to reflect their evolving needs. You’ll carry out flat or room inspections to identify repairs, health and safety concerns, or fire risks. Later, you might plan a group activity aimed at helping customers enhance their independent life skills.

You will play a vital role in supporting the practical needs and well-being of residents while promoting their recovery and independent living skills. Your work will also involve assisting residents in maximising their income, accessing benefits, and budgeting for domestic bills and living expenses. Through your efforts, you’ll directly contribute to helping customers thrive and lead more fulfilling lives.

This role will require and Enhanced DBS, valid full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, training, support and coordination of our team of volunteers, working closely with operational managers and the volunteer team to ensure that volunteer activity contributes to PHQ’s charitable objectives and is enjoyable and fulfilling for the volunteer team.  There are currently over 100 volunteers whose work centres around Boathouse 4, our boat collection in the workshop and afloat on our pontoons, and care for Porters Garden, a calm space enjoyed by visitors and staff work in the dockyard.

This role involves operational planning, volunteer engagement, scheduling, and data management, with a strong focus on volunteer recognition, development, and communication.

We will consider applications for part-time employment for 30+ hours per week.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate prior experience of coordinating volunteer activity in the charitable sector, with good knowledge of safety and risk management procedures, and strong communication and organisational skills; underpinned by high level administrative and IT skills.

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager 

Location: In Service based in Croydon, CR0 1EB. You will be required to work across multiple services within the area. 

Salary: £30,200

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday, working across a rota which will include day and night shifts as we provide a 24 hour service.  

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. You will work closely with the day teams to ensure a smooth handover from the day to night. 

This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals. 

The role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

We provide essential outreach support, a variety of accommodation options, tenancy support services and vital health programmes. In 2024 we supported 804 people experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our corporate giving and partnerships income stream. Corporate Giving at SPEAR comprises just over 20% of our fundraised income, with a mix of direct giving, local COY partnerships and employee fundraising. This is a key role within the Fundraising and Engagement team, responsible for developing and managing relationships with corporate partners to generate sustainable income and deepen engagement with SPEAR’s mission.

The role

As a counsellor you will deliver funded time-limited counselling (up to 15 sessions) to people presenting with a range of issues, particularly domestic abuse. The counselling will be online (telephone and Teams) and face-to-face in various settings across Nottinghamshire.

About you

Are you an independent, self-motivated counsellor who is experienced in working with people affected by domestic abuse?

You’ve ideally worked directly with a diverse client group in a therapeutic setting and have experience managing safeguarding issues. Heading up Beat’s major donor fundraising, the Philanthropy Manager will drive vital income growth for the charity. They will nurture and uplift existing major donor relationships while identifying and securing the support of new major donors. With 20% of Beat’s income coming from major donors, this role is pivotal in fulfilling our mission to make eating disorders a thing of the past.

We are looking for an ambitious and skilled major donor fundraiser who can drive income growth in this area while insuring that our donors receive the best possible care. Many of our donors have personal experience of an eating disorder or of supporting a loved one with one, and are looking to create something positive out of their suffering by helping others. Do you have the sensitivity and creativity to support them to do so? 

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and deliver against a Major Donor strategy, to drive income growth for Beat.

• Generate new business from high net worth individuals by identifying, researching and developing relationships with suitable prospects, and by responding effectively to inbound leads.

• Hold responsibility for the account management of all Major Donor relationships, working alongside the Beat Executive Team and Trustees to utilise their support when added value can be of benefit. 

• Write creative proposals and inspiring reports, by engaging with Beat delivery teams, M&E and finance colleagues in line with our commitments to Donors.

The Service

Newham Together Café is a high paced, out-of-hours mental health service provided by MindTHNR, in collaboration with NHS East London Foundation Trust (NEFLT). It provides a safe space for people who may be experiencing or moving towards a mental health crisis. The service will offer a range of psychotherapeutic interventions including 1-1 support and safety plans, wellness & recovery action plans and therapeutic groups. 

Newham Together Cafe has an asset-based approach, focusing on the strengths and coping skills of people using the service, helping them to understand how they could use these strengths to decrease their own distress and promote their wellbeing.

The service at the Café will be co-produced with those who use it as well as with local voluntary, statutory and community-based organisations. The Café strives to be a warm, welcoming and non-stigmatising environment, offering a range of therapeutic activities and a quiet, low sensory space to cater for individual needs and aspirations.

Purpose of the role

The main purpose of this role is to draw upon personal experiences of mental health issues and use these experiences in a positive and enlightening way to support others who are at a crisis point in their recovery journey. You will provide quality support and interventions to those at crisis point or likely to experience a mental health crisis, as an alternative to using statutory crisis services.

This service is open every day, so we have variable schedules Monday to Sunday including weekends and Bank Holidays [2:00PM-9:30PM]. You must be able to work these shift patterns to be considered for this role.

The Supporter Relationship Manager is responsible for all individual donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our individual giving income.

Powerful narratives, storytelling and engagement with donors is crucial to ensure that our funding need and impact is shared with supporters. 

The Supporter Relationship Manager will work with the Head of Fundraising and Deputy CEO to grow our major donor, regular giving, appeal and legacy income alongside sustaining our irregular giving and Gift Aid income.  The Supporter Relationship Manager will line manage the Fundraising Assistant (FA), which is a new entry-level fundraising role responsible for the development and day-to-day administration of our community fundraising income stream for individuals and our corporate community.

Person Specification Essential knowledge, skills and experience:

• Three years+ experience of working in a supporter care fundraising role.
• Understanding of fundraising principles, relationship marketing and supporter care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level copy writing skills.
• Experience of working with communications staff to support multi-channel fundraising campaigns.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.Well-organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and targets.
• Good working knowledge of CRM databases and how to use them to steward supporters.
• Good knowledge of current data protection/GDPR regulation.
• Able to develop, initiate and maintain systems and procedures.
• IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel to sort and segment supporter data.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in Enfield, working 35 hours per week. The service has been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
