The HR and Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the London Irish Centre’s (LIC) internal operations, with strategic oversight of all HR functions, organisational policies, facilities management, and volunteer coordination.

Key areas of responsibility

• Lead the day-to-day HR function providing support to staff across all areas of HR.

• Ensure HR policies are reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and best practice. Develop new policies that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and embedded within the team.

• Update, maintain and develop employee handbook, HR templates, processes, and systems to support the delivery of an effective HR function.

• Manage HR systems ensuring all records are maintained accurately and comply with GDPR.

• Oversee all recruitment processes.

• Oversee the entire employee lifecycle - from induction to exit - while implementing talent retention strategies, performance management systems, and succession planning.

• Oversee organisational volunteer management, ensuring compliance with policies and alignment with strategic objectives 

• Coach and advise line managers on people issues withing their teams from probation to sickness absence to performance.

• Manage grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with policy.

Main Responsibilities:

• To work closely with MHR, HR Team and consultants to ensure that tasks are scheduled and completed to meet project timelines.
• To co-ordinate work with HR and Payroll colleagues to ensure all relevant payroll processes are captured, reviewed, and, where necessary or appropriate, changed to ensure they are fit for purpose with the new system.
• To be responsible and manage the configuration of the new modules, working with HR and Payroll colleagues, MHR and other consultants to ensure that it is configured to Family Action’s requirements and that the rationale and effects of our chosen configuration is clearly documented.
• To work alongside the HR Systems and Operation Managers to ensure that the HR and Payroll teams are trained and supported in the effective use of the system as pertains to their roles.
• To be responsible and manage user testing of the new system and any parallel runs as part of the implementation process.
• To act as the Payroll System Administrator for iTrent, taking the lead on technical functionality and expertise and liaising with MHR as required for technical solutions.
• To support the Payroll team with other ad hoc duties, as may be required for running an effective and efficient payroll system.

• CIPP qualified or significant experience working in Payroll in a Payroll  Manager or payroll system development and implementation role
• Significant experience using and administrating itrent payroll systems, including liaison with system providers.

You will work closely with the Clinical Director, Board, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality therapeutic services, manage projects, support fundraising and communications, and ensure our facilities meet the needs of both clinicians and the community. Key Responsibilities are as follows:

Strategic Leadership: Work with the Directors and Advisory Board to support long-term planning and strategic development. Creatively implement systems and structures to maximise service delivery, productivity, and income. 

Operations and Facilities Management: Oversee the booking and management of clinic and event rooms, maintain high standards of customer service for building users and visitors, liaise with contractors regarding building maintenance and manage the general upkeep of facilities to maintain a high standard of health and safety. Respond to issues in a timely manner and maintain relationships with building users. 

Financial Management: Lead the financial management of the organisation, monitoring project budgets, invoices, licences and debtors. Chair a monthly finance subcommittee meeting and maintain an overview of the entire organisation’s cash flow and projection. 

Governance: Act as the main point of contact for the board of directors and advisors. Prepare and attend monthly board meetings. 

Programme and Event Delivery: Coordinate internal and public events including lectures, film screenings, and workshops - providing logistical and operational support including ticketing, promotions and managing event staff/volunteers. 

Clinical Project Management: Lead operational delivery of funded projects including two subsidised psychotherapy schemes: tracking budgets, collating outcome measures, writing reports, managing timelines and liaising with clinicians and patients. This also includes managing referral pathways, responding to enquiries from patients, sharing referrals with clinicians, and line managing an administrator who supports these tasks. 

Outreach Programme Management: Coordinate our multiple outreach programmes such as two Therapeutic Playgroups, one of which is for refugees and asylum seekers. This involves acting as the main point of contact for programme staff, reporting on their activities and progress to the board, and maintaining the operational frameworks necessary to allow the programmes to thrive. 

HR: Manage all HR elements of the organisation including but not limited to: advertising and recruiting roles, drafting contracts, keeping an up to date log of internal policies, and handling any staff concerns with discretion and professionalism.

Development and Fundraising: Support grant research, writing, and application processes in collaboration with the Development Coordinator. You will be required to liaise with key funders and maintain records, reports, and track project outcomes.

Communications: Lead on internal and external communications, including newsletters, social media and website content.

The Diocese of Rochester is committed to equipping its churches and leaders for growth and transformation. As part of this, we are seeking a Missionally Healthy Places (MHP) Project Manager to join our Programme Team based at the Diocesan Office in Rochester.

The MHP Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of 15 strategically funded parish projects supported by the National Church. Working with the Head of Programmes, Diocesan colleagues, and parish representatives, the Project Manager will oversee planning, budgeting, governance, and reporting processes across the MHP project. This role will be vital in supporting parish leaders and PCCs to lead and deliver their local MHP initiatives effectively.

The successful applicant will be an experienced and highly organised project manager, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to manage risk, track project outcomes, and support change across a variety of contexts. A background in monitoring and evaluation is important, and a desire to serve the mission of the Church will be key to thriving in this role. Experience of working with Church of England structures is desirable but not essential.

Purpose of the job

The Finance and Funding Manager has two key functions; financial management, to ensure all financial operations are conducted in line with NDAS policies, charitable governance, and in accordance with HMRC requirements, and fundraising to ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation.

Across both main functions the Finance and Funding Manager will work closely with the CEO and SMT.  Also attending Finance Sub-Group meetings that report into the Board.

Responsibilities:

Finance

· Work with the CEO to produce draft budgets with projected income and expenditure for consideration by the Finance Sub-Group and to be reported to the Board

· Work with the CEO to manage the allocation of costs across the budget and to ensure delivery in line with funding requirements.

· Checking all incoming invoices, preparing payments and process day-to-day financial transactions on Sage 50 Accounts

· Conduct monthly bank reconciliations; investigating and correcting discrepancies and reporting to CEO.

· Maintaining and monitoring investment accounts within the Flagstone account as agreed with the CEO and Finance Group.

· Administer payroll (BrightPay) including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc)

· Administering the workplace pension scheme (auto enrolment) ensuring compliance with pensions legislation

· Assist the organisation’s accountant with the preparation of annual accounts

· Continually reviewing and improving the systems in place.

Finance Group and Board of Trustees

· Produce monthly summary finance report and full management accounts for the Finance Group and the Board.

· Preparation of a bi-monthly finance power point report for the trustees

Fundraising

· Identify new funding streams from Trusts, Statutory agencies and corporates, and submit funding bids.

· With the CEO produce and maintain an Income Generation Plan with a timeline setting deadlines for the submission of funding applications

· Work with the SMT to manage and monitor all outcomes associated with each funding stream

· Produce funding applications with informative narrative content and robust data

• Maintain a monitoring schedule and produce reports in line with funder/stakeholder requirements also with informative narrative content and robust data

This exciting new role will act as the bridge between our Operations and Central Services. Main Duties

• Manage a team of 2-3 Finance Business Partners (FBP) supporting Programme teams with the grant portfolio, keeping budgets under continuous review, and providing regular financial information and analysis.
• Contribute proactively with the Programme Finance Lead and the core Finance team in improving programme finance systems and procedures.

Fixed Term Contract, Rotation of Working Days are 3 days per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays) and 5 days per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

JOB PURPOSE

The Office Administrator will undertake all administrative support duties, typing, creating letters/templates, maintaining all databases of contact and contractors, filing, and responding and maintaining records to standard enquiries. The role also requires answering the phone and logging calls, checking voicemails, opening mail, creating Notices, and populating the Notice Boards at regular intervals, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information, and abiding by Goulden House Co-Operative Ltd GDPR regulations.

Salary:

£28,000 per annum pro-rata (3 day & 5-day weeks)

MAIN DUTIES

• Resident engagement, taking and responding to residents’ calls, ensuring that all such engagement is documented on the Goulden House Resident Engagement Database
• Updating the Goulden House Registers (Risk Register, Complaints Register, Anti-Social Behaviour Register, Intercom Databases etc)
• Raise Works Orders and Purchase Orders and services on SAGE as per Estate Manager instruction
• Taking responsibility for the Approved Contractor List, ensuring that the contractor’s documentation is correct and current, i.e. Public Liability, relevant Health & Safety certification.
• Liaise with contractors and organising repairs whilst ensuring compliance with the Goulden House Co-Operative Ltd Procurement Policy
• Issuing resident/visitor parking permits
• Monitor CCTV daily putting particular emphasis on fly-tippers.
• Updating of Notice Boards across the site
• Inspecting the cleanliness of the Communal Areas twice weekly and signing off of the Cleaning Schedules which are placed in all the Communal Areas, in the absence of the Estate Manager.  
• Estate walk around as required or in the Estate Manager’s absence.
• To undertake such duties as are reasonably assigned to you from time to time by Estate Manager

SERVICE DELIVERY

• To take a pro-active role in Health & Safety issues on the estate.
• To assist in ensuring the Co-operatives’ aims in relation to customer awareness are achieved.
• To promote a positive image through the development of good working relationships with tenants, lessees, committee members, contractors, Wandsworth Council staff and other agencies.
• To ensure equal opportunities policies and procedures are complied with in relation to staff, members, residents, and the general public.

Job Title: Volunteer Manager

Location: Based in our central office in Islington (10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station). You will work in a hybrid approach including regular service visits, office days, and home working.
