About the role:
The SHP Somerset Cluster is based in the heart of the London’s theatre and shopping districts – the main hub is just off Drury Lane, with the other sites near Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. The aim of the service is to support people over the age of 18 to navigate various support needs and develop the skills required to maintain independent accommodation long term.
As a multiple disadvantage (MD) referral and move on coordinator, you will work as part of a larger support team to ensure that consideration is given to the individual experiences of multiple disadvantage when it comes to accessing and moving on from our service.
You will work with people from their first interaction with the service: at the point of referral, ensuring that all aspects of someone’s experience is considered by undertaking a trauma informed, culturally sensitive assessment and supporting your colleagues to develop their awareness of these experiences.
From here you will then support their journey through the service by working alongside other support staff to foster a culture of move on, supporting the development of holistic and realistic move on goals.
This work will be underpinned and supported through the development of a move on programme. This programme, developed and overseen by the MD Referral and Move on Coordinators in partnership with the Recovery and Opportunity Coordinators, will be not only look to develop confidence and ability to navigate social systems, but also be accredited through SHP’s AQA Registered Learning Centre.
In addition, you will carry your own caseload for people living in the step-down services to ensure that they are prepared, equipped, and confident about moving on. This may include identifying current barriers within the system that can prevent someone from moving on successfully or within their set timeframe.
About you:
- Experience of coordinating projects across multiple teams or people with varying roles to achieve successful outcomes for vulnerable people
- Knowledge and awareness of the intersection of needs in people facing multiple disadvantage & strong understanding of how the intersection & co-occurrence of these issues can make it difficult for people to engage with support or to move on from services.
- The ability to judge the appropriate response to situations that you find challenging or emotionally difficult
- The ability to work as part of a team to ensure that everyone is clear in their roles and provide peer support and guidance when needed, working through any arising conflict professionally and successfully
- Strong time management skills, ability to work on own initiative, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards.

Job Purpose
The post holder will work cross-functionally to provide front-line administrative and transactional systems support to the People team and the Finance team. Within the HR/People elements of the role, the focus will be on day-to-day systems and process queries, recruitment, HR system support to Ada’s staff, compliance and general HR administration. This will require the post holder to have strong communication skills, strong attention to detail, and have the ability to manage and prioritise their workload.

Role Responsibilities:
Finance Support: 60%
Support the Assistant Finance Manager in updating the Purchase Ledger:
- Ensure that purchase requisitions are received and processed on the accounting system in a timely manner,
- Ensure that all expenditure is recorded against the relevant nominal code and cost account, and that the correct VAT code is used,
- Ensure all suppliers’ invoices are attached to purchase requisitions on ApprovalMax
- Prepare mid and end of the month BACS payment run and ensure that suppliers are paid within payment terms,
- Receive and check all statements from suppliers,
- Investigate and action any issues that arise with regards to creditors,
- Regular review and maintenance of the outstanding purchase order and goods received notes report,
Support the Assistant Finance Manager in updating the Sales ledger:
- Ensure that all income is recorded against the relevant nominal code and cost account and that the correct VAT code is used,
- Ensure that all requests for sales invoices are processed and sent to debtors promptly,
- Ensure that all requests for sales invoices are monitored and chased so that the prompt payment is received
Petty Cash:
- Ensure that the disbursement of the funds, keeping records of those disbursements and requesting replenishment of the fund is done accordingly to the Petty Cash Policy;
- Ensure that the reconciliation of the business petty cash transactions is done on the bi-weekly basis in the Xero finance system.
Other finance duties:
- Support Assistant Finance Manager in preparation of the pay runs;
- Monitoring finance account inbox and dealing with staff, students and supplier queries to ensure they are quickly and properly resolved;
- Support staff in following the financial policies and procedures, such as: filling out charge card tracker, purchase orders, setting up new supplier;
- Support the Finance team in setting up a Fixed Asset Register and making sure it is kept up to date on a regular basis;
- Support the Finance Team with any other queries that may arise.
HR Support:
Recruitment
- To work with the HR Manager to draft adverts for posts being advertised, ensuring that they are well-written and engaging.
- To obtain quotes for advertising on various job boards and recruitment media channels in a timely and accurate fashion ensuring the best possible exposure for vacancies
- To coordinate interview/selection logistics including room bookings, diary management, scheduling and preparation of relevant materials and sending invites to candidates
- To support the HR Manager with the administration processes around onboarding and offboarding of staff including consultants, mentors, volunteers and governors.
Inbox Management & Staff queries
- To manage the recruitment inbox, responding to candidate and hiring manager queries in a timely manner
- To work with the HR Manager to manage the HR inbox, responding to staff enquiries in a timely manner recognising that some correspondence will be highly confidential and/or sensitive in nature.
Systems & Compliance
- To be the main point of contact for all HR system queries and to action all first-level system transactions, escalating more complex transactions to the Head of People & Talent or the HR Manager.
- To send out reference requests for all shortlisted candidates, chasing responses and passing on to the relevant line manager
- To maintain spreadsheets and trackers to ensure all relevant HR information is collected and collated (eg vacancies, DBS and other pre-employment checks, probationary periods, performance management, exit interviews.)
- To create and maintain electronic copies of personnel files
- To support with the updating of the Single Central Record for all staff, volunteers, consultants, agency workers and governors
- Under the direction of the Head of People, issue relevant letters to staff in relation to Employee Relations (ER) matters ensuring that timelines are strictly followed, meetings arranged, notes/minutes taken and all paperwork, including checklists, is fully completed.
- To support the People team with all HR policies, processes and projects as required.
General Administration
- To provide accurate data for Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) in monthly data returns,
- Liaising with CIVICA support team to seek advice on better use of MIS (REMS),
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and update database system REMS,
- Keeping up to date with the latest ESFA funding rules and regulations.

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

Complex Needs Worker: Women Experiencing Homelessness
Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in London, are looking for a Complex Needs Worker to work in a complex needs service for women experiencing homelessness in south London. Due to a rise in female rough sleepers, and the need to safeguard the most vulnerable in society, a new female only rough sleeper service has been commissioned to provide support and ongoing casework to vulnerable women engaged at the service with the aim of rehousing clients into more independent accommodation. Clients will be referred to the service via homeless assessments services, street outreach teams and other referral pathways.
Candidates for this role will need:
- Experience of working with the homeless and ideally complex needs women and the challenges the specific client group face
- Experience of working in a homeless assessment capacity
- Resettlement experience and knowledge of housing options
- DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months or registered to the online update service
Candidate duties:
- Offering advice and guidance on housing and resettlement related issues to clients
- Overseeing the casework delivery for around 4 clients within a supported housing unit

Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life.
This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. You will be required to work alongside Thriving Communities commissioners, as well as the project’s Youth Justice Worker’s, Educational Psychologist, and/or professionals assigned to individual young people’s cases- such as teachers, social workers and mentors. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. The post holder will coordinate and provide information-based sexual health outreach services, testing and brief HIV prevention interventions in commercial venues and at events across London. Interventions will predominantly target people who may be at higher risk of HIV and STI acquisition, particularly amongst higher prevalence communities such as Gay, Bisexual and Men who have Sex with Men (GBMSM), Black African and Trans communities. This role will involve working within sex on premises venues frequented by GBMSM and would therefore be best suited to someone from that community. Programme
The post holder will be a member of the GMI Partnership team, based at METRO, working closely with their counterparts at other GMI partner agencies (Positive East and Spectra). The partnership is the main provider of the London HIV Prevention Programme, a sexual health and HIV testing outreach programme for GBMSM, across the capital. The post holder will be responsible for liaising directly with other contract partners and being a main point of contact for various outreach venue providers. This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. We are currently seeking dynamic Practitioners to join our Children & Young People’s service (CYPS), working directly with young people affected by domestic abuse.
Domestic Violence Intervention Project (DVIP), a division of Richmond Fellowship since 2018, has been a leading provider of Respect accredited community perpetrator programmes working to stop domestic violence, increase safety for women and children, and reduce harm to families for over 29 years.
This role requires a good understanding of adolescent development, domestic abuse, child abuse and trauma, and the impacts of these on young people’s development, as well as a good understanding of the nature of domestic violence and its effects on women and children, and on the parent-child relationship. You will have experience of direct work with young people and their parents/carers, working flexibly but robustly and supportively, responding to challenging or harmful behaviour to facilitate change. You will have experience of providing structured one-to-one and/or group work counselling or behavioural change interventions, and of working with both children and adults from diverse backgrounds. You will have an excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures and be confident working both independently and as part of a team, working closely and collaboratively alongside partner agencies such as Children’s Services, Schools and Youth Offending Services.
You will have the opportunity to play a key role in developing DVIP’s young people’s services, working in partnerships with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver effective community responses to domestic violence, in line with RESPECT practice standards. Day to day, you will be working flexibly across a number of locations, including providing outreach in schools and other relevant or referring services, managing referrals, assessing risk and suitability for therapeutic intervention, and engaging families.
In this rewarding role you will be working directly with young people and their parents/carers, delivering structured interventions to increase safety, as well as providing specialist support to other professionals working with families experiencing abuse, through provision of expert consultations and training.
You will be able to work independently and flexibly, including some early evenings if needed, within any London Borough, where DVIP is contracted, for part of the working week. You will be comfortable managing your own workload and related admin, and you will be able to communicate clearly with a range of people about sensitive and complex issues, including the writing of professional reports.
This is a permanent full time role requiring the post-holder to work 37.5 hours a week.

A team of part-time student staff call 1000’s of students each term, supporting them to navigate University life, services and GSU. This role will support the award-winning team to deliver proactive supportive calls to students.
