The Role

Role purpose 

Adoption UK is undertaking a major digital transformation, initially focused on CRM and Website developments. Our Digital Transformation Team will drive this change programme, working with colleagues and external digital partners; and subsequently deliver our on-going digital strategy implementation and development.

As Assistant Director of Philanthropy & Strategic Partnerships, you will help shape the future of our national work and support our federation of 170+ local Home-Starts working in communities across the UK. You will lead a talented team, build long-lasting relationships, and help make sure Home-Start has the funding, partnerships, and influence it needs to give every child the best possible start in life. This role will suit someone who is motivated by purpose, who values people and relationships, and who is comfortable working across a large and varied network.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record, someone who has already delivered high-value fundraising and partnerships at a senior level and is ready to take on a role with significant national influence. With responsibility for an annual income portfolio of circa £4 Million – with strong potential to grow this over the next 3-5 years to between £6Million-£8Million plus, you will work with a supportive Leadership Team and Board, who have already engaged external philanthropy expertise to develop a strategy and roadmap that you can build on. You’ll need to be confident working with high-value supporters: able to build trust, communicate clearly, and nurture long-term relationships with people who want to invest in families and early years support. You’ll bring the skills and confidence to grow a portfolio that is already strong and take it further, along with the ability to work well with others in a fast-moving environment.

Following the appointment of our current Chief Executive in 2025, we are embarking on an exciting new chapter and developing a strategy that aims to extend our impact by addressing key rural issues facing communities locally, namely; access to jobs and services, affordable housing, and health and wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager to join the internationally recognised UK Cystic Fibrosis Registry team. 
 
The UK Cystic Fibrosis Registry is a database of consenting people with cystic fibrosis across the UK collecting demographic, clinical care, and health outcomes data from clinical teams in specialist centres. The Registry is a world-leading resource, the data from which is used to facilitate research, clinical trials, real-world evidence studies and quality improvement projects for the benefit of people with cystic fibrosis. 
 
We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of working with large observational data sets who can support the Registry with efficient data management and reporting processes. You will have a passion for working with healthcare data and the use of data to improve health outcomes. 
 
With excellent communication skills, you will be able to communicate your work clearly and appropriately for a wide range of audiences and be able to deliver to agreed timelines. 
 
You will join a busy, dynamic, collaborative team and work with colleagues and stakeholders both nationally and internationally. You will be passionate about supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and uniting with us to make sure that everyone can live without the limits of cystic fibrosis. 
 
Please note:

• This is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
• This is a UK based role and offers a flexible location; however, if you are London office-based, a minimum of 40% working hours per week in the office will be required and if you are home-based, travel to the London office will be required in line with business needs.
