The Role
As the Deputy Team Leader (Court Services), working alongside Team Leaders you will be responsible for the delivery of the Witness Service within your court/s (as mentioned above).

You will share responsibility for the effective coordination and development of volunteers who support witnesses in their journey through the criminal justice system.

You will be responsible for general service administrative tasks within the courts, as well as inputting service data.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering the West Midlands: Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire.

Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process. 

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

The Naval Children’s Charity provides financial and holistic support to children and families around the UK.  We work closely with other charities, have our own team of caseworkers and use an external Armed Forces group case management system, Mosaic, run by SSAFA as well as a bespoke internal database of our beneficiaries, Beacon and a platform called Lightning reach to receive applications.

The role of Database Administrator is to provide the lead on the handling and management of all internal data for the Charity, the development and use of the Charity’s internal database Beacon and to provide administrative support to the Charity, ensuring that all records are maintained and updated in a timely fashion.  Other data administrative support as required. 

Specifics of Role

· Reports to the Head of Finance.

· Works closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), caseworking team and the Office Administrator.

· To lead on the continued development of Beacon, the Charity’s internal database:

o Ensure data remains consistent across the database.

o Test and set up new applications/fields, customise existing applications/fields and make them fit for purpose

o Facilitate data capture, data flow and data outputs.

o Consider both back-end organisation of data and front-end accessibility for end-users

· To lead on training for staff in the operation of Beacon including database user documentation, data standards and procedures.

· Ensure confidential handling of all information concerning beneficiaries in accordance with the Naval Children’s Charity’s confidentiality and data protection policies.

· With the Office Administrator, to be responsible for all data input into the Charity’s internal database.

· With the Office Administrator to be responsible for all data download and inputs into Mosaic and downloads from Lightning Reach.

· To ensure that all data input is accurate and completed in a timely manner, adhering to monthly and quarterly deadlines.

· To provide administrative support to the SLT, and the wider team as required

· To provide data reports from the internal database as required by the SLT.

· With the Office Administrator oversee the distribution of the charity’s resources to families and organisations including the Wellbeing Packs

This role will be working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of £85,000 - £95,000 per annum.

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Develop and implement a financial strategy aligned with the Diocese’s mission and long-term objectives.
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and risk management to support strategic decision-making.

• Delivery of the Financial Annual Report and Accounts to agreed timescales.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join a dynamic and growing satellite Students’ Union in the heart of Canary Wharf. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Data Quality Officer within our organisation. This position is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely generation of reports that provide insights into our therapy services' performance and impact. The Data Quality Officer, with support from the Operations Manager, will be responsible for developing and maintaining the organisation's data reporting processes from end to end, including gathering data, analysing trends, and presenting findings in a clear and compelling manner.

Working closely with various stakeholders, including management, external funders, staff and therapists, the Data Quality Officer will play a key role in translating data into actionable insights that drive decision-making and demonstrate the effectiveness of our therapy programmes and other services. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

A significant aspect of this role involves reporting to external funders, such as government agencies, foundations, and donors. You'll be responsible for compiling comprehensive reports that demonstrate the effectiveness of our programmes and ensure compliance with funder requirements and deadlines.

We work with a diverse range of partners and manage several grant funding programmes and projects that aim to create opportunities for local people in the Black Country to be active.

About the roles

Working closely with the Active Black Country team and Local Authority partners, the 2 x Community Engagement Officers will play a key role in identifying community need and will identify appropriate support or training solutions. The role will support communities to build capacity and knowledge and will share opportunities to be active, support creativity and the development of skills.

Working closely with the Active Black Country (ABC) team and Local Authority partners you will:

1. Engage with communities to understand barriers and motivations to adopting an active lifestyle.

2. Support community organisations to make it easier to find and access physical activity opportunities locally including online.

3. Support understanding and awareness of digital platforms including ABC’s Black Country Moving Platform and its benefits.

4. Ensure that community voice is captured and utilised at all stages of development and support.

5. Connect and collaborate with key community engagement roles across the Black Country, such as Public Health Development Officers.

6. Develop positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Main duties

1. Work with the Active Communities Strategic Lead, communities, and residents to understand needs and training requirements.

2. Build relationships with partners, community organisations and provide support to integrate physical activity content on The Black Country Moving Platform.

3. To promote opportunities to encourage people to be active, providing ongoing support to local community organisations to raise awareness and accessibility of local services that support active lifestyles.

4. Coordinate a programme of support or training opportunities based on community need.

5. Work with the ABC Digital Inclusion Manager to improve the wayfinding experience of the Black Country Moving platform, developing content with community organisations and residents.

6. Share learning across the region to build shared understanding of the challenges to being active and how we can collectively deliver future services.

7. Collect and collate data including case studies.

8. Maintain ABC stakeholder database.

9. Ensure compliance at all times with contract management, procurement and finance procedures.
