We’re recruiting a part time Marketing and Communications Manager to support the development, implementation and management of innovative marketing campaigns to drive awareness, interest, and income across all areas of our work.

Location: Hybrid – FSRH London office (London Bridge) and home working.

Marketing management

• Supporting our Head of Marketing to develop cross-organisation marketing plans to help us achieve our member retention objectives and reach new audiences.
• Leading projects with our Members Services Team, Education and Training, and External Affairs teams to understand the market and customer need for our products and services.

Marketing activities

• Lead on the delivery of effective marketing plans for a range of audiences and outputs, including but not limited to our online and in-person events, qualifications, training and assessments, and clinical guidance, guidelines and standards.
• Write engaging copy for both online and offline marketing collateral – including news stories, blogs, email communications, print and digital adverts, and social media.
• Segment and tailor marketing communications for a range of audiences by professional role, membership type, and level of involvement with us.
• Manage regular email communications with our registered users (those who express an interest in us) and candidates (those currently learning with us) to support their journey towards becoming a member.
• Develop and manage the marketing activities for our core member publication The British Medical Journal in Sexual and Reproductive Health (BMJ SRH)
• Proactively manage a content calendar to help keep track of our range of communications.
• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer to repurpose content from our website and campaign publications for use on social media.
• Ensure all communications practices are GDPR compliant.

Marketing intelligence

• Support the Head of Marketing with desk-based research / activities to help us better understand and engage with newer audiences (e.g., physician associates, pharmacists).
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using a range of tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM reports, Google Data Studio), working closely with our Digital Content Manager and Data Manager.
• Proactively look at ways to improve the overall effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data and insights to inform this.
• Track and monitor email campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements, most notably during our annual member renewals campaign.

Brand management

• Champion our FSRH values, brand guidelines and style guide, supporting the Head of Marketing to keep our templates and materials up-to-date and implemented correctly.
• Support the development of event specific content for in-person and online events, and occasionally assist as an FSRH representative.
• Produce slides for our CEO / Officers where needed to help share information about FSRH’s work.

You will have experience:

• Developing and delivering successful and multichannel marketing and communications plans
• using email marketing tools and segmenting communications to suit specific audiences
• working across social media platforms and creating tailored content
• using data to understand audiences, measure the success of campaigns and improve effectiveness
• an understanding of GDPR and how it is applied in practice
• copywriting skills for a variety of audiences on different communications channels, both online and offline
• with tools such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, website content management systems (CMS) and Google Analytics
• Microsoft office skills with a knowledge of Office 365
• positive communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail and proof-reading abilities

The role and your key responsibilities

As Employer Partnerships Manager, your role is to grow our employer partner numbers and support our existing employer partners to get the most out of their partnership with us. A fundamental element of our work with employers is to make sure they’re adding genuine value to our student and teacher community. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Make sales to employers

Working with our New Business Lead and the wider Employer team, you’ll secure and conduct meetings with employers in which you’ll listen to their needs, communicate our mission to them, demonstrate our offering and seek to secure their ongoing subscription.

• Maintain excellent relationships with existing partners and secure their subscriptions

You’ll onboard new partners, conduct regular check-in calls and consultatively support our employer partners to make the most of their partnership with us. It’s crucial that you maintain a sky-high resubscription rate.

• Delivering our existing services for partner employers

As the partnerships manager for your employers, you would be responsible for delivering on the different aspects of the partnership, including:

• Matching campaigns

Support your partners to identify events and opportunities they’re running that will be of interest to students using Unifrog, and work with our Employer Engagement Coordinator to add them to our system.

• Webinars, online fairs and in-person events

These events are another way for our partner employers to interact with our community of students and teachers. From virtual careers fairs, skill development webinars to in-person insights days, we strive for all our events to be useful, impactful and enjoyable for everyone taking part.

• Help develop new ways for our employer partners to add and receive value

We are more interested in people’s attitude and ability than their work history, but previous experience in Early Talent, Apprenticeships, Diversity and Inclusion or the Education sector would be an advantage.

Programme Manager - South Central Region

Our three-year strategy is working well with improvements and expansions to our delivery model, a renewed vision and mission and we want to continue to develop and grow. To support this, we are recruiting for a new programme manager to grow our programmes and contracts in our South-Central Region. This area covers prisons HMP Winchester, HMP Bullingdon, HMP Grendon, HMP Springhill, HMP Aylesbury, HMP Huntercombe, HMP Woodhill, HMP Isle of Wight and HMP Gurnsey. We are seeking proactive, committed, and enthusiastic applicants to join our team and help us continue our journey.

Working closely with people in prison, prison managers, Shannon Trust staff and volunteers you will ensure development of our criminal programmes maximising literacy and numeracy learning opportunities for people across a number of prisons and contracts in your area. 

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings, managing teams and contract performance, underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. Global Programme Manager (Nepal & Myanmar)

The Programme Manager is an exciting and influential role at RCPCH Global, a specialist unit within the College, in which you will lead the management of our maternal and child health programmes in Nepal and Myanmar, with some support for our work in Rwanda. Based in our London office, you will oversee the implementation of the programmes, including the delivery of high-quality programme activities.

As Programme Manager, you will monitor and manage all financial and budgetary aspects of the programme in compliance with donor requirements and take the lead on all programme reporting to donors, maintaining and ensuring high-quality programme monitoring and evaluation processes are adhered to.

Crucially, you will be responsible for liaising with local programme counterparts and stakeholders in the field, which may include regular field visits. You will also take the lead on the recruitment and management of long-term programme volunteer clinicians, as well as short-term advisory consultants, for the programme.

In addition to wider donor liaison, you will help develop new programme grant agreements with a preliminary focus on UNICEF and the James Percy Foundation, as well as promoting RCPCH Global activities to external stakeholders.

Suitably qualified in international development, public health, international and global health, health systems strengthening and child health, or with equivalent work experience, you should have excellent project/programme management skills and have a background in a relevant international/development management or implementation role. 

With demonstrable experience of designing, initiating and leading complex programme development processes, including with senior government counterparts, local partner organisations and international and multilateral donor agencies, you should have a significant understanding of budget management and financial reporting, including to bilateral and multilateral donors.

Previous experience of successfully managing large complex programmes, including supporting field-programme teams both remotely and in the field, within the international development and/or health sectors is essential, whilst experience of working in developing countries would be desirable.

Although based in London, this role may include some travel to Nepal. Additional travel to Rwanda as part of support role may be required. 

RCPCH Global is a unit within RCPCH which designs and manages a range of international projects and programmes to improve neonatal, child and adolescent health, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Our programmes use teams of skilled clinicians and other health professionals to work with counterparts in targeted low-income countries to train and mentor doctors, nurses and other health workers, as a means of helping to build the capacity and quality of the health systems in those countries. 

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. 

The RCPCH has more than 22,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

About the role

The Media Manager will be responsible for taking charge of the ITF’s global media strategy. We are looking for an experienced media relations professional who can further enhance and solidify ITF’s reputation as the global voice of transport workers and as an authoritative voice in the transport industry and global trade union movement.

We’re seeking an experienced media relations manager, preferably with international experience and with established media relationships amongst leading international media.

You will be part of team responsible for delivering solidarity and support to local, national and global disputes, building communications that reinforce the critical role transport workers play, developing strategies to support union-led policies on everything from health and safety to sustainability, and raising the volume on the global struggle to advance the rights and equalities of the world’s transport workers.

Your role will be pivotal for securing media coverage that raises awareness of the work and priorities of the ITF internationally across broadcast, print, online media, and trade press.

This hands-on role, will lead on developing, implementing and advancing ITF’s global media relations strategy. The Media Manager will also provide strategic advice and coaching to ITF’s leadership on proactive and reactive media strategies, as well as strategic guidance and support for other members of the ITF’s multi-disciplinary communications team.

The Ogden Trust is recruiting for a Programme Officer to support the delivery of our informal science learning programmes across England, working with universities and employers.

The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics.  The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.

The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. They will manage the administrative and reporting side of the programmes, and organise related events.

Who we are looking for

You will need to have a good understanding of the informal science learning landscape and higher education in England and an interest in physics in particular. You must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with outreach professionals, academics and employers in physics-related sectors.

An excellent team player, you will have experience of working in programme administration and events organisation, with strong communication and organisational skills. You will be responsible for working alongside the Service Manager (SM) to deliver high quality, trauma-informed services to residents and participants, with a focus on recovery reablement, rehabilitation, and ensuring a psychologically informed environment (PIE). You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service quality, performance, and improvement across their service(s) through excellent leadership and embodiment of Social Interest Group’s values.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, varying hours (Early Shift: 8am - 4pm, Late Shift: 10am - 6pm). You may also need to support outside these hours as the service requires.

ABOUT THE SERVICE

Synergy, Brent is a Housing Related Support (HRS) Service for a range of vulnerable people who have been or are at risk of homelessness. The age eligibility criteria for the service is adults between the ages of 18 to 60, who are identified to have low/medium support needs. Some of the needs we support are:

• Single homeless between ages of 18 to 60
• Socially excluded individuals
• Ex-Offenders
• People with substance misuse
• Mental Health (Low)
• Learning disability (Low/Medium)
• Women who have come from domestic abuse environments and situations who may need low level support as part of their resettlement following a move on from a refuge or other safe domestic abuse supported accommodation.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

LINE MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP

• Provide leadership to employees throughout the employee life cycle. This includes but is not limited to; Recruitment, onboarding, inductions, probation reviews, support and supervision, employee relations, performance, learning and development, staff wellbeing and support, grievances, sickness, disciplinaries, retention and other areas which fall within the employee lifecycle.
• Hold regular, high quality one to ones and team meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. Support with ensuring a culture where constructive challenge is welcomed, and conflict is managed supportively in line with relevant policies and procedures.

SERVICE DELIVERY

• Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day operational delivery of the service and work directly with colleagues, residents, participants, and other stakeholders to provide a high-quality, holistic service which meets the presenting needs of all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively. This includes but is not limited to; welfare checks, risk assessments, support sessions, safeguarding checks, training and development, and other responsibilities required for effective service delivery.
• Support the Service Manager to ensure the service and team meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators, and work in line with professional codes of conduct.
• In conjunction with the Service Manager, facilitate a program of continuous improvement in an environment where residents and participants are cared for, supported, and have access to resources they need to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
• Empower residents and participants to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.

RISK MANAGEMENT, INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND CASE RECORDING

• Follow the relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share any relevant information with partner agencies as appropriate.
• Ensure all case recording, and information is accurately recorded in a timely manner, ensuring electronic records are protected in line with GDPR, and kept up to date and written to a high standard.
• Alongside the Service Manager, champion, and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service(s). Ensure all staff attend relevant safeguarding and training and use knowledge to coach and advise the team.

PROPERTY AND HOUSING MANAGEMENT

• Create and manage a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents and participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing.
• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is maintained to a high standard, in line with SIG’s property standards and meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

• Provide support in setting the service’s budget and reviewing monthly management accounts; manage set budgets effectively and ensure resources are maximized.
• Maintain financial management within the service, including but not limited to, invoice management, arrears management, management of petty cash, and expense claims.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contract Management and Internal Auditing; Ensure due diligence is carried out and records are well maintained.
• Administration duties will vary, including operating online systems and ensuring correct processes are followed alongside GDPR and confidentiality.
• Other duties may include but are not limited to, maintaining clean and tidy environments, removing rubbish, ordering supplies, arranging in house events and activities and other general on-site duties.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. 

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Ability to follow organisational policies and process in line with external governance

The Head of Programmes, forming part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and reporting directly to the CEO, is a critical role holding overall responsibility and management of Youth Realities’ programme delivery and development. 

Youth Realities currently runs four core programmes, underpinning our three outlined priority pillars: prevention, intervention and healing.

• Deepin Relationships - healthy relationships education in communities and schools 
• Young Women's IDVA Support - specialist, long term support for young survivors of abuse and violence in their close relationships 
• Deepin Dance - a weekly dance space for young women aged 16-25 who have survived relationship violence

About the position

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a strong belief in the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in helping to build high performing teams within the international anti-slavery sector. You will be leading a small HR team and will be responsible for developing and delivering an effective HR strategy across the global organisation. The role will report to the Managing Director, Finance and Administration.

This role will suit candidates with previous experience of leading an HR function, particularly those with experience working in a global organisation and / or within a charity and a personal passion for and commitment to social justice missions.
