About the role:
This role involves providing information, support and advice, particularly around welfare benefits, housing and learning disabilities, to Carers through one-to-one appointments, case work, and group facilitation.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Providing advice and advocacy on welfare benefits and housing. Minimum of 3 days a week.

Providing information, support and advocacy to Carers of people with Learning Disabilities.

Facilitation of the Learning Disability Carers Peer Support Group.

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced insight professional to join the Data & Insight Team, who will lead on our insight work, delivered through meaningful data analysis, reporting and research activities.
This is a hands-on technical role, so we’re looking for someone with significant experience building and maintaining datasets, using analytical tools and modern data platforms, and can deliver meaningful analysis in a charity context. Equally important, we’re looking for someone who has good communications skills, and will enjoy building relationships with stakeholders across the organisation (often non-technical). We’re looking for someone who can own the insight process, from understanding and scoping requirements, sourcing, prepping and analysing data, presenting to stakeholders and working through how the insight provided can inform decisions and improve our work.
The role is part of a small and busy Data & Insight Team and the post holder will be required to get stuck in on a range of activities that support and underpin our insight programme. This could be, working on marketing data selections, maintaining/developing our data warehouse, providing data protection support, or overseeing CRM processes. We’re looking for someone with a broad background in data and analysis, and who enjoys working within an environment with significant variety.
Internal and External Relationships:
Close working relationships within the Directorate, with fundraising colleagues (across Individual Giving, Philanthropy and Business Development) and with our Digital and Supporter Care teams.
Working on key BI projects outside across the wider organisation, with senior leaders across Finance, Programmes and Impact, Innovation and Influence.
Person Specification:
- Lead the analysis, reporting and business intelligence function, within the Data and Insight Team.
- Develop and maintain data assets that support key decisions.
- Forge and maintain strong working relationships with key leads across the Organisation, particularly within the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Directorate.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions and deliver insight projects to agreed timescales.
- Interpret, summarise and communicate key insights and recommendations to stakeholders, and work with teams to drive change.
- Work with the Head of Data, Insight and Supporter Services to shape our future vision and strategy for insight and BI.
- Champion the use of data and evidence in organisational decision making.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly with the wider Data and Insight Team, to deliver a range of data services.
- Keep up to date with innovations in technology related to Insight and analysis (such as AI) and understand how this could help us with our work.

Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Essential
- Experience in developing and delivering data analysis and insight projects.
- Experienced working with stakeholders to scope and define briefs, that promote efficiency and maximise impact.
- A good communicator, who can convey technical information to a non-technical audience and is comfortable presenting information to range of audiences.
- A curious mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo to achieve positive outcomes.
- Expertise in the charity/non-profit sector, with particular experience analysing Fundraising data.
- A keen attention to detail and methodical approach.
- Technical proficiency in core analytical tools and modern platforms (e.g. SQL, SPSS, SSMS, Power BI)
- A working knowledge of data governance and data protection, including GDPR, PECR and fundraising regulations.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Nature and Society Advocacy Manager to join our policy team. This exciting and important new role will lead a high-performing team to shape and deliver advocacy strategies that maximise the Woodland Trust’s influence on UK national and local policy, driving nature recovery and access to trees for all.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and supporters, you will develop evidence-based, practical policy solutions and identify new opportunities to influence decision-makers across key areas including nature recovery, land use, planning, infrastructure, ecosystems, access to nature, and health and wellbeing.
This role is advertised as full-time, 37.5 hours per week, however we would consider applications from those wanting reduced hours at 30 per week.
The Role:
- Lead and develop the Nature and Society Advocacy team, identifying capability gaps and providing coaching, direction and support to deliver effective policy advocacy.
- Build strong cross-organisational relationships to secure coordinated support for advocacy activities and ensure senior leaders and colleagues are effectively briefed.
- Provide expert advice on UK and international policy developments to senior stakeholders, enabling consistent, evidence-based advocacy, communications and campaigns.
- Develop and maintain influential relationships with government, parliamentarians, NGOs, businesses, academics, media and other key stakeholders to advance advocacy objectives.

- This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average. Occasional travel to other offices and remote locations may also be required.
The Candidate:
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, managing people, projects and multiple workstreams.

The role
The role of the Research Funding Assistant is to support the delivery of specific activities within the portfolio of funding schemes managed by members of the Research Funding Team. Role Description
Volunteering Matters Brighter Futures CEC works with pupils (aged 12-18) who are care experienced or on the edge of care across the City of Edinburgh.
The project has two parts, one is to work one to one with the young people referred to the project, supporting them to experience a volunteering placement with local charitable organisations that will build their confidence and allow them to grow and learn new things in a different environment out with school.
The second part is our group work, the Youth Engagement Manager will be responsible for up to 7 small groups within schools across Edinburgh.The Youth Engagement Manager supports the young people engaged in the groups to develop and deliver a Youth Social Action project within their community.

As the Finance Manager, you will support the monitoring and control of Trust spend, working closely with the Finance Director to successfully manage budgets and incoming resources, whilst delivering the highest standards of customer service to the academies in the Trust and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day finance transactions, including banking, management accounts review and reconciliation, debtor management and reporting, and the administration and development of the finance system. This includes close working with the Accounts Payable team to ensure robust financial control, compliance and efficiency across all academies within the Trust.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

A few practical things
- This is a hands-on role-you’ll sometimes be lifting resources, setting up venues and travelling regularly (a car and full driving licence are essential).
- You’ll need to be happy occasionally working evenings or weekends during peak delivery times.
- Expect to be on your feet during some events or sessions-it’s all part of the fun!

We are recruiting for a Temporary Public Affairs Officer for a professional member body, you will need sound knowledge of the workings of government and parliamentary procedure, you will support the public affairs team in providing a timely, high-quality and professional public affairs service to deliver the organisations aim & objectives.
Hybrid working min 1 day in their London office
The Role
Support the public affairs team to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Westminster and Whitehall, particularly MPs and peers with an interest in health, and other national, regional, local and EU stakeholders
Research and develop briefings for stakeholder meetings at request of head of public affairs and senior public affairs officers
Produce parliamentary briefings and submissions
Supervise the public affairs monitoring service, providing daily monitoring support and research material, including monitoring Westminster, European institutions, and other relevant external stakeholders
Cascade monitoring information throughout the organisation
Collate information from a range of public affairs sources for circulation to senior members, relevant colleagues in the Engagement & Communications directorate, policy directorate and the wider teams - including summaries of relevant bills, reports, debates etc.
Provide analytical support to the public affairs team, including collating data on parliamentary/public affairs activity/performance
The Candidate
Previous experience in a parliamentary, political or public policy environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent political awareness and keen interest in politics
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to prioritise and manage own workload effectively but also to be flexible and adapt/respond to emerging issues, short deadlines and other demands or challenges
Knowledge of legislative procedures and policy making processes - across national, regional, local and devolved government and European institutions
An understanding of health policy issues and the challenges and opportunities facing the health and other public sectors
